OK, this was neither conciliatory nor well-planned by Warren:
Warren Told Sanders After Debate, ‘I Think You Called Me a Liar on National TV’
Bernie did NOT respond with "If the moccasin fits...", and mores the pity.
I don't think Warren will win a pissing match about credibility. Gail Heriot takes us back to Warren's medical bankruptcy "study", which at most revealed a crisis of disability insurance (and when a progressive has lost FactCheck...).
Warren's Fauxcahontas story is well known, as is her brilliantly planned Big Reveal that she might be 1/1024 Native American, so take that, Trump.
Let's not even mention Medicare For All, her "I was for it before I was for it but later" own goal.
And more recently, the WaPo took a look at her conveniently evolving standards on big dollar donations.
Warren is fighting the wrong battle with the wrong guy. Yet another display of poor judgment on her part.

Absolutely. But they can't believe one thing and claim they believe another.
And it has been my personal experience that the large majority of the Mormon laity has little or no knowledge of most of the problematic doctrines and simply think of themselves as standard Christians, which, I suppose they are since it is belief in the problematic stuff they don't know about and aren't taught that creates the problem.

Nancy Pelosi's "Word Salad"
This is a very important day for us and as you know I reference temporal markers that our Founders and our poets and others have used over time to place us in time, to emphasize the importance of time, because everything is about time, how we use it how we mik-, how we mark it and today is an important day because today is the day that we name the managers, we go to the floor to pass the resolution to transmit the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate and later in the day, when we have our engrossment, that we march those Articles of Impeachment to the United States Senate. As I've said, it's always been, Our Founders when they started "When in the course of human events it becomes necessary" when, Abraham Lincoln "four score and seven years ago," Thomas Paine, now are the times, "These are the times that try men's souls, the times have found us." Again and again, even our poets, Longfellow, remember, "Listen, my children and you will hear of the midnight ride of Paul Revere, on the 18th of April of '75, hardly a man is now alive that remembers that famous day and year." It's always about marking history using time. On December 18th, the House of Representatives impeached the president of the United States, an impeachment that will last forever.

If Sanders were to become the Democratic presidential nominee, all this will come pouring out in Trump ads on television and social media. Voters will see TV clips of the American hostages, blindfolded and abused, alongside Sanders as the Trotskyist elector supporting the Iranian kidnappers. Rest assured, Trump will make absolutely sure that it is Sanders’ own past that will bury him and perhaps the Democratic Party.

It really makes the Nats win even more impressive when you consider that Stras and Scherzer beat them twice even when they knew what was coming. In that article I linked the accusation is that the Astros were still stealing signs in 2019. The difference this time around is that instead of banging a trash can in the dugout some players had vibrating devices hidden underneath their jersey.
If that is proven to be true those players should get suspended.

Moldova is ancient. It's right next to Freedonia.
Hey, my maternal great grandparents were from a town that was in Moldavia (now called Moldova but with a different boundary). That became part of Bukovina, in the Austrian empire, and now is in the Ukraine. Fortunately they left for America around 1910, since all the Jews in the town that remained were killed or sent to the camps 30 years later.

Re Chappaquiddick. Sigh. I am sorry that I did not communicate more clearly.
1. I did not “make up” anything. The theory that Kopechne was driving while Teddy hid in the bushes was published in early 1970 by best selling author Jack Olson. He picked it up from a Mass State Police investigator assigned to the case. Both men spent a lot of time on the island. I had nothing to do with it.
2. I was not advocating that theory, merely reporting it. It has some problems, including that it is based entirely on speculation and conjecture. It does however explain some things that are otherwise hard to explain. Anyone interested should read Olson’s book.
3. ManTran asked about her state of dress when her body was found. Sort of interesting. She was completely buttoned up, all the way up to her neck. However, she was not wearing any underpants under her slacks. Perhaps that means something and maybe it does not.
4 Kennedy’s claim that he made a “wrong turn” and headed down the dirt road by mistake is plainly a lie. There is little reason to doubt that he was driving the cat that the cop saw and went down that road deliberately. The business about switching drivers before they got to the bridge is as I said just speculation.
Yes, it was a long time ago and a lot of blood has gone over the bridge since then.

https://news.yahoo.com/trump-senate-trial-kicks-off-090000031.html
Despite Trump’s conflicting statements about wanting witnesses to defend him during the Senate trial, White House officials said Wednesday the president’s team is seeking a short trial and that no additional testimony is needed.
Who knows what Trump will want by the time the vote is taking on whether to vote for dismissal of charges or a quick acquittal.
Together they have the power to join with Democrats on key questions like whether to subpoena former National Security Adviser John Bolton, acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and a trove of documents sought by the House but blocked by the president.
So let me get this straight. If the RINOs side with the Democrats, then the Democrat can subpoena witnesses they believe will damage Trump. Will those same RINOs be able to prevent Trump's lawyers from issuing subpoenas for Hunter Biden, Ciaramella or anyone else who can provide damaging information against the Democrats?
