The NY Times "1619 Project", devoted to the notion that the US was founded to preserve slavery, may be a highwater mark in agenda-driven woke journalism. Or so we hope.

Don't worry about Hunter. He'll either be at Dreamgirls with the ladies the night before he is sworn in or in recovery. Either way he makes a lousy witness.
It was as if Trump never went to Davos with the mainstream media.

Well, not your actual garbage cans, of course. I wouldn’t wish that kind of nuisance on you. Just garbage cans generally.

There's a lot of dog hair in my trash can. I'd like to see them eat that.
They've all gone round the bend and I think are losing the public. The media have become like Der Sturmer and Volkischer Beobachter in their rampant propaganda and meanwhile the far left has gone way out over the edge.
The Richmond protest is what they are up against. Normal people with guns. It is not good to threaten normal people who have guns at a certain point. Especially when you are espousing Stalinism.
They are infighting. They are screwing up the peachmint hearings. For once they are Charlie Brown and the facts are Lucy. In the meantime decent folk are hard at work making America great again. It's not just a slogan anymore. It is happening before our eyes.
A loudmouth from Queens had the huevos to stand up to the entire world and is WINNING.
If history is recorded objectively in 50 years I think the current narrative will be down the drain.

matt,
Every time Trump starts yelling at the reporters, I think of my Dad. He had to leave IU because his clothes and books got stolen, so he joined the Army as a buck private. Then he wound up being in the Army for 7 years, because Pearl Harbor came just when he was about to be discharged.
Those executives from Eli Lilly, the teachers and principals in the school system, the doctors and lawyers all looked down at him just as if they had blue check marks hovering over their heads.
They sure were glad to see him if their furnaces needed repair, though.
And those guys with the blue check marks on Twitter, well, I will bet they are glad to take the money their 401k's made.
I bet he gets a wild reception in New Jersey - like a home town boy makes good!

As OL mentioned at the end of the old thread, Caro has some stories about Sundance that IIRC included hot tubs. :)
We were there about 20 yrs ago as part of watching MT Jr doing an IronMan. About 10 of us rented a house there and on our last evening, we had a dinner in Bob’s little restaurant which is about a 100 yds from his house. So we are all sitting around a long table over in the corner next to raised booths along the back wall. After we were about done with our first drinks, Bob sauntered in with a lady (not a hot chick) and they sit in the corner booth right behind us. I’m facing them, but several of our ladies see him walk in, but are facing away so they spend the rest of the evening in agony knowing they can’t just turn around and stare. Heh. Meanwhile we are having a blast laughing and jabbering pretty much dominating the room and Bob keeps looking over at us. Well, when he and his guest finally finish their dinner, he pulls out his glasses and puts them on as he gets up to leave. And he spends a VERY LONG time eyeing us over as he slowly leaves the corner.

LOLGF
It is impossible to deny the reality that Clinton, as an uncommonly powerful woman, was also the object of tremendous sexist vitriol, a passionate fixation on her that animated even the legitimate grievances against her with an intensity unseen in critiques of similar male politicians. The media fixated on her thick ankles, and then they fixated on her masculine pantsuits. It became a common party joke to make strange and morbid speculations about her sex life. Her personal virtues were interpreted as suspicious: intelligence morphed into cunning, determination became ambition, resolve morphed into stubbornness, care and studiousness became dishonesty and scheming. Among the most fixated and rancorous of her critics, even valid complaints about her seem undergirded with a passion that is more psychological than moral.
To be clear, almost none of this is objectively true.

It would be nice to get a lawyer to explain the legal impact of the third paragraph that starts with "The court understands...".
The two docket numbers it mentions that the government acknowledges are not valid are the ones that Boente and Rosenstein signed off on after Trump took office. What does the second sentence in that paragraph mean? Why has the government not taken a position on the validity of the authorizations of the original and first renewal of the Page FISA

John S,
When I was in DC, I had to hold my nose and tongue many times. My firm had a win-win-win calculation as to who we contributed to and would attend fund raisers. Which by the way, the wine and cheese ones are every damn evening - sometimes 6 or 8 at a time.
The first win was the Senator or Rep was represening a State or District we had a project or office in. Especially if they repreented specific areas of our employees, The second win was were they members of specific house and senate committees who touched our businesses. The Third win was were they Chairman of those committees and at the same time representative or our demographic and geographic conditions.
As a result we were supporting both Dems and Repubs. Some like Norm Mineta, I found to be very practical and interested in all out projects, research etc. since I knew him as both congressman and Sectuy of Transportation under W. A lot of times when I had to fly back to SFO I would share a plane with him. He never flew Biz or First but always econ. and he was a Democrat.
I don't think a Dem like Norm Mineta could survive in this Congress.

That entire paragraph is focused on 50 US Code 1801-1813. Sounds like the FISC judge is stating someone violated 1801(h)(1) & 1809(a)(2) for certain. My guess is the redacted sentence is a third violation.
