The big news from the Dem debate came when it was over.
Hard to see the Sanders and Warren loyalists kissing and making up after this.
DO LET ME ADD: The Thirty Years Skirmish was funny, by which I mean stupid and pointless. Bernie beat a Republican incumbent in November 1990, 29 years and 2 months ago. Was that within Warren's parameter of "the past thirty years"? Progressive mathematicians are still sorting it out.

TK,
I REALLY want you to listen to this interview with Steve Bannon. It's 2 hours and 26 minutes and gives a LOT of background on both the campaign and transition. His contempt for the stupid people in government is palpable.
He talks about the financial crisis in 2007, and how it led to the election of Donald Trump, the Billy Bush tape, evil Paul Ryan (we were right about him)etc. The campaign was a "fly by the seat of your pants" operation.
It's absolutely fascinating. Wait til you hear the part where they have Paula Jones, Juanita Broderick, and some others who were going to go after Hillary at the debate for supporting Bill and were loaded for bear!
I am not kidding. You will love listening to this!
Others will like it, too, but you especially.

I am not exaggerating. I really believe GOP senators voting for conviction would be in peril.
It is unconscionable to me that the man that Bannon describes in that interview, who referred to working class and evangelical voters as "my people", who risked everything and sacrificed his privacy and lifestyle to save this country, would be turned out by that bunch of unappealing dimwits led by Pelosi.

Warren wears a black top and pants with either a red or a blue blazer/sweater thing over it. Every day, as far as I can tell.
I'm all for uniform dressing (it makes life easier) but a candidate probably can't get away with it.
As far as her skincare routine (using cold cream only and not washing with soap or cleanser) I can't ding it as her skin does look great. And I've heard of that before. Cold cream is a cleanser of sorts.

To clarify from the previous thread experiences, including via virtual reality digital learning masquerading as digital "textbooks" to go back to a discussion porch and I had a while back create neural effects especially when repeated.
Changed physiology, especially intended, is generated by a social science--education pedagogy and curriculum- but it has a hard science effect that again has nothing to do with enzymes.
I am guessing NSF and NIH are funding the enzyme version, but I know they are funding the behavioral science version I am talking about. They also call Mind, Brain, and Education a science because of the planned and observed neural effects. The word permeates the literature involving the links between education and neuroscience.

rse, they could be honest and call it brainwashing, but that would give away their plans.

The behavioral science version is not "out there," but involves mainstream research and is frequently also tied to med schools. The Super Better book involved Penn med if you look at the footnotes and acknowledgments page.

It's not even a sweater "jacket. " It's a limp sweater. If it were the least bit stylish folks might cut her a break, but it looks like she just throws on whatever is hanging on the back of the chair, when she gets up. Actually, I am not sure that impeachment does disqualify one from running for the Presidency. I am not sure, but I believe that the Presidency is not an office, but an elected position. This had some bearing on the business with the emoluments clause of the Constitution, I am fairly certain. After all, the Constitution lays out the qualifications to run for president, and it doesn't say "must not be impeached," which I think they would have included at that point just to emphasize it.

Posted by: MissMarple2 | January 15, 2020 at 11:28 AM
Draft editorial:
Headline: Thoughts on a trumped up trial
Unfortunately, according to the Constitution, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, and her committee chairmen Adam Schiff and Jerold Nadler, cannot be impeached for attempting to redefine ordinary presidential business as a high crime and misdemeanor. The House of Representatives can censure or expel them, and should.
They betrayed the Constitution, discredited the House, papered over their own congressional rule-breaking and malfeasance, tolerated legal double standards, abused the Executive Branch, undercut foreign policy, alleged Separation of Powers to be a crime, misused the press, ran roughshod over the rule of law, and lie continually to the American people. They have undermined the Democratic Party.
On the basis of the testimony so far revealed — the House under Pelosi is still hiding the testimony of Inspector General Michael Atkinson — President Trump has broken no law. But he sure has stepped on the toes of the powerful
Trump was elected to drain the swamp. Whatever decision by the Senate on the contrived, non-crime impeachment charges, Trump will have won.
He revealed what a swamp Washington is. He exposed self-serving deceit on both sides of the Congressional aisles. He exposed rot in the FBI, the DOJ, the CIA, the State Department, the IRS, the FISA courts, and other federal agencies. He revealed national media willing to be used and abused by officials.
Trump exposed how political parties, unanticipated by our Constitution in the first years of our Republic, corrupted political institutions. The original Democratic Republican Party hoped to undermine Alexander Hamilton and his ideas. Great but flawed politicians like Thomas Jefferson who founded the party did not foresee how parties would poison our unique and beautiful American political system.
They passed on to us the possibility of thuggish abuse by the Democrat House. Representatives are cajoled and threatened to cave to the party. Parties have come to run politics with the firm hand of criminal mobs. They practice justice of one sort for them and quite another for the rest of us.
National media overlooks their double standards. Compare Andrew McCabe’s pass for lying to the ongoing hounding of Michael Flynn. Look at ignoring Hillary Clinton’s emails and Uranium One. Look at Vice President Joe Biden’s billion dollar threat to Ukraine if they didn’t stop investigating his son.
Trump? The country is better for having elected him. The powerful in Washington are engaged in a last ditch, futile effort to protect their fiefdoms.
Win or lose, Trump has begun a Herculean effort to drain Washington’s Augean Stables that will not end with impeachment.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/grooming-gangs-sex-abuse-manchester-police-exploitation-asian-a9283146.html
I honestly don't think it's an overstatement to say that every single public employee and elected official named in the report should be charged as an accessory to thousands of counts of kidnapping, rape, child abuse and God only knows what else, tried, convicted, and executed.
Posted by: James D. | January 15, 2020 at 11:34 AM
One more point the education learning theories being financed are generally written by biology profs or ones working together with cognitive scientists. I may not have known the enzyme version of the word but all the biology and hard science profs writing these books that are implemented as creating a Positive School Climate or effective, brain-based learning would.
I am very glad Dr J piped up as well as a'mom. This is unlikely to be a matter of carelessness. The brainwashing as henry called it gets hidden because most hard science types will assume it means enzyme change and not designed changes to the student's central nervous system with desired permanent effects.

Listening to an NPR piece on Michigan.
No early voting (other than the old fashioned kind.)
Trump won by less than 11,000 votes.
Five times as many people voted third party in 2016 as 2012--250K. Way less people voting D (they didn't vote at all) than in 2012. (They didn't come out to vote HRC as they did BO.)
75 K left the presidential choice EMPTY--did not vote for president, but DID VOTE! Stood in line that day, but voted NEITHER OF ABOVE.
I'm not calling that state for anybody in 2020.
And 2020 isn't going to be a rerun of 2016. They voted in a D governor to replace eight years of R, and two Congressional districts flipped after being long-time R.
DJT's after midnight trip to rally in Grand Rapids---genius.
And my email to my cousins and sibs to vote NeverHRC may well have played a part. ;-)
