Train wreck. Bloomberg stanched the bleeding, Biden gaffed away as he's done since the 80's, Bernie had a rough night but hung on and CBS needs to put their moderators back in their clown car and drive off. Drive off a cliff.

I love the Bernabeau. May be the finest sports stadium I have ever visited and I have been to Stade France, Twickenham and the Old Wembley. Our Madrid office had 6 season tickets and very few of us Yanks who would visit there for Biz ever thought to ask for them. Hell I did and got to see El Classico between Real and Barca. The most intense and noisiest game I have ever been to and everyone was super compatico!

Trump campaign files libel suit against New York Times over Russia story
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-trump/trump-campaign-files-libel-suit-against-new-york-times-over-russia-story-idUSKCN20K2X3
(Reuters) - ... The opinion piece was headlined, “The Real Trump-Russia Quid Pro Quo” with a subhead adding, “The campaign and the Kremlin had an overarching deal: help beat Hillary Clinton for a new pro-Russian foreign policy.”
... It documented numerous contacts between people associated between Trump’s campaign and Russians.
Can somebody refresh my memory about these contacts between Trump’s campaign and "Russians" ?

I don't know what that last part of the second sentence means. Not every muz wanted to relocate to Pakistan when the partition happened, particularly if they were property owners. Some, not all, of the muz (of which there are still a *lot*) keep irritating the Hindus with provocative crap like killing sacred cows or otherwise being disruptive pests until they get forcefully smacked down and the UN types go into the handwringing mode and nobody tells them to STFU. Then it happens again. Now with DJT maybe, just maybe, there's been a shift.

From the 4:05 link
Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller documented Moscow's campaign of hacking and social media propaganda to boost Trump's 2016 candidacy and harm his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.
It documented numerous contacts between people associated between Trump's campaign and Russians. Mueller found insufficient evidence to show a criminal conspiracy between Trump's team and Russia but did not exonerate Trump of obstruction of justice related to the investigation.
Did anyone here read the Mueller report and, if so, is the above true?

I think that's the case, not quite a majority yet on the 9th, because I believe Don also mentioned that the decision could conceivably be appealed to the full panel of 29 judges, where the liberal majority would probably prevail. I'm not sure that necessarily follows, however, because I think that there are a a lot of people who are pro-choice but are willing to drawn a line at government actually funding or promoting abortions.

True. The meeting with the female Russian lawyer and Trump Jr and Manafort comes to mind.
Mueller found insufficient evidence to show a criminal conspiracy between Trump's team and Russia
True. Another way of wording this is "Mueller exonerated Trump on the allegations by the Democrats that Trump committed treason and colluded with the Russian government."
did not exonerate Trump of obstruction of justice related to the investigation.
True. My bet is it pissed off Weissman significantly that Mueller thwarted him on this one.

Robin, the replacement site is a great substitute. It's not the original T_D but it's a subset and has the same look and feel. I'm not as heartbroken as I thought I'd be, now that we know we have the new place where Reddit admins can't mess with us. It has a similar energy to the old T_D back in February 2016, back when we were just scrappy upstarts in the Reddit environment. It's better to make this break now than to have them nuke the place in October.

The part of your quote that was not true (aside from the author's mix and matching of Parts 1 & 2) is that there was, in fact, no real evidence presented that established Russian intent to boost Trump, rather than, say cause disruption & discord. That was pure assumption of the 17 intel agencies ilk. I haven't read the enbtire NYTimes article, but assuming the subheading quote is accurate, the campaign has got at least one outright lie to protest: ""The campaign and the Kremlin had an overarching deal: help beat Hillary Clinton for a new pro-Russian foreign policy." I suspect that's not the only utterly unsupported allegation.
As for the few contacts that apparently occurred, I'm not aware of any of them bearing fruit for the Russians, or going anywhere beyond some introductions, really.
