The WSJ reported that Mahan Air “had carried out eight flights between Tehran and China between Feb. 1 and Feb. 9 to transfer Chinese and Iranian passengers to their respective home countries.” This explains why so many high-level Iranian officials are infected by the coronavirus, including First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri and more than 20 lawmakers. Mohammad Mirmohammadi, an adviser to Khamenei, was the most senior Iranian official who died of the coronavirus as of today.

Hi all;

Just checking in from the OC. Same as most places on the West Coast. Costco yesterday we were behind a woman who had lined up at 6:00AM for something or other and was back again for more. No TP, paper towels, sanitizer, chicken or milk. Most everything else was okay to low stock.

A lot of the carts were being used as sawhorses to keep the controlled entry line in order. No issues at all. People cheerful.

Am holed up at home with my former fiancé' from 20 yrs ago, who is in her last year at U of W's NP doctoral program. Just rated yesterday as #1 in the country. I'm a pretty lucky guy.

Sounds like everyone is faring reasonably well. Let's keep it that way. Be careful out there.

Since the number of cases depends as much on the amount of testing as how much there actually is, it's not meaningful, even if accurate. And it's not a function of the measures that have been taken, like shutting the entire economy down.
