I think people need to see this for what it is: this is a very important voice in the news discussing the best way to censor the news.
She’s relaxed enough to discuss censoring what news you will receive, so much so, that she’s tweeting about it to no one in particular.

There's a big debate going on among folks about whether cable should be airing Trump briefings. Okay. But if you're running the beginning of the briefing, why cut away from Pence and the actual health officials?
I start my reading here from where I left off the previous night, I see all the daytime comments.
I've been tracking the total case numbers for over a month and have them written down. I thought about calculating the deaths and recoveries %change rate but can't find a decent time series that will let me go backwards to a starting point. Right now that's looking like null project.
Like you I also look at covidtracking to get an idea of what is going on in the separate states. As you've noticed the disparities in state's reporting makes it less than useful for comparisons or collective totals.

During my very essential travels through the green hills and snow capped peaks of my hunkering neck of the woods [what's a neck of a woods anyway?], eyeballing the gamboling deer and the contented cudsters and the jolly bats playing horseshoes, it's kind of funny to consider the natural world has not the slightest clue nor care that most of humanity is freaking out over an invisible thing that isn't really even alive by a lot of standards.

Back to the virus: Just found out someone in our apartment building tested positive recently. So it's getting closer.... There are only about 55 units in our building, so it's not a large population. It also seems like half the building has cleared out, as I almost never see a soul.

Well at the rate the NBA is going, I'd say that in mid May they'll simply write the season off.
Of course Ezekiel Emanuel (Rahm's idiot brother and the architect of Obamacare) suggest that the US should go into total lockdown for another 18 months. That's the ticket. You may as well nuke the US economy--it wouldn't hurt it any worse than that.
Democrats are in a tizzy because President Trump, while noting a recommendation that we all wear face masks when going out in public–a reversal of the original government claim that masks do no good–said that he probably wouldn’t wear one himself. The Democratic Party blowback has been immense.
So may we assume that these two [manly Bret Stephens and manlier Gail Collins] ARE wearing masks? There was a discussion of Stephens riding his bike for miles through Manhattan…was he wearing a mask then? I want to know specifically. And I want to know specifically about ALL Times reporters, columnists and managers, and the Sulzbergers — specifically. Are they wearing masks? And, by the way, did the Sulzbergers flee to their Southampton estate or stay in NYC?
Are they asking Nancy, Chuckles, Cuomo, AOC, Nadler as well others in the chattering class to “lead by example” and wear masks?
I am still amazed at the intemperance of China.
Xi has been ruthless and has grown more so over time, but he has also been clever and even conciliatory sounding when it was in his interest.
I think Trump's bluster, but more so his unwillingness to blink rattled the tin pot coolie to begin with and now this entire WuFlu fiasco has him like Pork fried rice on ice.

Nancy Pelosi and then Ambassador Grenell, from a story in the Daily Caller about more Schiff grandstanding.
Does Grenell not look as if he'd like to strangle her?

"Has it been a year?"
That's really hard to believe, isn't it.

Did you guys know that Orson Welles played the never seen Robin Masters on Magnum PI? Wisconsin boy.
Sorry, that beats the pants off of John Forsyth in Charlie’s Angels.

Looks a little like he's excited to see her. :)
Perhaps she's bringing him over to the left side of the plate with her Miss Lube Rack wiles?

I did know that Pin.
And I believe Rin Tin Tin played Zeus and Lassie was Apollo. They spent a lot of time in make up.

They had bad managers.
Didn’t The Obamas buy that estate or was it Zuckerberg?

Melinda,
Just left a thread which is full of people who think this quarantine is BS.

So, is this entire virus thing a plot to crash the economy? What do you think?
