Newly declassified documents confirm Obama was intimately involved with the Flynn case. It was Obama himself who informed Yates about Flynn’s call with the Russian ambassador.

The JEF is neck deep in the FBI FUBAR.

Who did the butler catch it from?

“ Who did the butler catch it from?”

The cook. In the kitchen. With a rope.

Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI about his illicit Russian contacts.

His lies do not now become truths.

This dismissal does not exonerate him.

But it does incriminate Bill Barr.

In the worst politicization of the Justice Department in its history.

The GPS function only comes with phone features. Better if you don’t want to be tracked, but if you want your pix documented with location, or want to use it for map guidance, you need the phone bit. Note: you do not need to activate the phone for position. T-Mobile will give you a minimum SIM card that lets you use the iPad for messaging and hot spot functions.

The interesting twist of events from that newly declassified article and the excerpts Extraneus posted at the end of the last thread is that Brennan, Clapper and Yates wanted Comey to inform the Trump transition team and later the White House about Flynn while Comey was the only one who resisted.

I wonder what that Yale jackhole said of Zippy’s handling of H1N1...

Okay, not really.

Ah, Yates was having a hard time "processing" the information that Flynn had spoken to the Russian ambassador a mere few weeks before becoming the NSA. Of course.

She was so surprised, in fact, that she was having a hard time listening to the conversation, so therefore it would be understandable that she might not remember what Obama had said.

Notably, at this time FBI did not open a criminal investigation based on Mr. Flynn’s calls with Mr. Kislyak predicated on the Logan Act. See Ex. 7 at 1-2.4 See Ex. 3 at 2-3; Ex. 4 at 1-2; Ex. 5 at 9. The FBI never attempted to open a new investigation of Mr. Flynn on these grounds. Mr. Flynn’s communications with the Russian ambassador implicated no crime. This is apparent from the FBI’s rush to revive its old investigation rather than open and justify a new one, see Ex. 7 at 1-2, as well as its ongoing inability to espouse a consistent justification for its probe in conversations with DOJ leadership, See Ex. 3 at 5. In fact, Deputy Attorney General Yates thought that the FBI leadership “morphed” between describing the investigation into Mr. Flynn as a “counterintelligence” or a “criminal” investigation. Id. In short, Mr. Flynn’s calls with the Russian ambassador—the only new information to arise since the FBI’s decision to close out his investigation—did not constitute an articulable factual basis to open any counterintelligence investigation or criminal investigation. Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page apparently celebrated the “serendipitous[]” and “amazing” fact of the FBI’s delay in formally closing out the original counterintelligence investigation. Ex. 7 at 1. Having the ability to bootstrap the calls with Mr. Kislyak onto the existing authorization obviated the need for the “7th Floor” of the FBI to predicate further investigative efforts. In doing so, the FBI sidestepped a modest but critical protection that constrains the investigative reach of law enforcement: the predication threshold for investigating American citizens.

Hi all!

Head was good until the Cold Front passed this afternoon and damn cold is right behind. I will have to take the rescue med Zofran, but that is WAY better than what it used to be (haven't taken it for weeks now).

Still gainfully employed in the Federal Civilian space, all the way thru the lock-downs. I am not out much, in that 50+ group with 3 underlying conditions.

I think Mrs. PDinD and I may have already had it after binge shopping on 3/1/2020. We were down in bed sleeping hard for 2+ days. I have seemed to spike a temp about every 5 days, but it is only 99.0-.3 (normal is 97.7, migraine is 98.3-.5).

I know 2 other couples had similar symptoms and good friend who actually had COVID-19, all had the "every 5 days flare-ups" deal. I read that reinfection can occur and be far worse much faster. The friend that had it started feeling real bad again and I told him go right away to hospital, which he did. I am grateful he is still with us.

My doctor wants me nowhere near any testing facility, and that is just fine. I am concerned that people who test positive may be labelled somehow and discriminated against. I saw some information about the military listing persons who had COVID-19 as Permanently Disqualified (or something similar).

Gotta watch the government with more than just our 5 senses now, the threats to Our Rights have been turned up to 11-ty.

Don’t forget Brennan, Ext!

The newest edition to the family: Sweet Pea!

She is a pistol...

She was one of the kittens from a feral cat in the area (and there are a bunch). Our neighbor trapped her in January just before an ice storm was going to hit. We have been working with her and her working on us. She will sleep under the covers with us and hops up on my lap when at the computer desk. Definitely a daddy's girl!

We have 2 other cats - a tuxedo male named Sylvester who is about 12 years old and a tabby female named Missy who is about 9 years old. Missy and Sweet Pea play together and Missy stands her ground when Sweet Pea ain't so sweet. She likes Sylvester but is kinda like that schoolyard girl that runs up and kisses him and runs away (and sometimes tries to chew his ears or feet off).

He is such a mellow cat and really doesn't like to fight unless it is deer in the backyard, then he goes right out to stand his turf. At 17 lbs, he could do some damage and he is plenty agile. Sweet Pea is faster than any cat I have ever seen. I guess she had to be, being all-white and a feral cat. Not my first rodeo with rescues or ferals, every cat I have ever had was an outdoor one first.

She says she thinks she will keep us, as long as I get her dinner NOW!

RG linked Surber's blog with the Flynn news over on Twitter. Surber is ecstatic and a couple of the replies are interesting, so I brought it here.

After this Flynn thing, no one with half a brain will ever willingly talk to the FBI again, or probably the police either.

Not to go off on a tangent, but I was once awakened in the middle of the night by banging on my front and back doors, and I think also a window. After stumbling out of bed I realized that there were multiple police cars outside my house, lights blazing. I put my pants on inside out, went to the front door and was met by three state troopers, who claimed that a woman across the street had heard a woman screaming and then gunshots and then no more screaming.

"Are there any firearms in the house," one asked?

"Yes, but none have been fired recently, and by the way I have a carry permit."

"Is there a woman in the house?" (I had a 10-acre property with wetlands as a moat, so it was an isolated location.)

"Unfortunately no," I answered.

"May we come in and look around to make sure?" he asked.

Would I ever agree to that again? No way after what we've learned the past few years. They could have been there to plant something to frame me, but I did let them in that time.

In fact, they were quite polite and professional, and didn't even wake up my son (which was my one condition), who was laying on his bed on his back, no covers, legs spread in his Pokemon underwear.

I ended up calling their senior officer and commending them the next day while asking about the case. It seems the woman might have been overhearing someone else's TV. :-/

Anyway, those days are over. Get a warrant or get the f lost. Thanks, Comey.

Marc Elias's lawyer:

While Mr. Elias is committed to cooperating with the committee and providing information pertinent to the committee's investigation, his ability to do so is limited by his ethical obligation to protect client confidences under the D.C. Bar Rules of Professional Conduct.

It has long been recognized that the attorney-client privilege is an ancient
cornerstone of our legal system and seryes an important public interest in
protecting communications between attorneys and their clients.

D.c. Rules of Professional conduct, Rule 1.6, by which Mr. Erias is bound,
makes clear that a client has a reasonable expectation that information relating to
the client will not be disclosed by their tawyer, and that any such disclosure can
only be compelled in accordance with recognized exceptions to the attorney-client
privilege and work product doctrine.

Furthermore, under Rule 1.6, when a lawyer is cailed as a witness to give
testimony concerning a client, a lawyer must invoke the privilege when it is
applicable, absent waiver by the client.
we have conferred with Mr. Elias's clients, Hillary for America and the
Democratic National committee, and they have not waived the privilege with
respect to Mr. Elias' testimony today.
As a result, and consistent with these ethical obligations, Mr. Erias is
obligated not to answer any questions from the committee that intrude upon client confidences and this sacrosanct relationship been the attorney and the client'

It wasn't too sacrosanct for Trump's lawyer.

(I assume the typos are errors by OCR software, since these legal documents are all still on paper, apparently, a la FBI 302 licenses to lie.)

Hillary for America, are those the only two?

MR. ELIAS: I guess I'm not -- I'm not trying to be dense. I represent the DNC and I represent Hillary for America. So they are clients.

MR. GowDY: well, I'm not trying to be dense either. your client made
reference to the privilege belongs to the client and not to you. And I was
wondering who we would go ask for a waiver.

MR. ELIAS: oh, sorry. Now I understand, yes. The Democratic National

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

Ext has asked about this a couple of times;

Here is what Flynn supposedly lied to Pence about.

And here is what he pled guilty to lying to the FBI about.

Both article are kind of quaint in their dated, breathless anticipation of the coming end for Trump.

matt - deplore me if you must

So calling it the Wuhan China asshoe flu is okay then?

So more to come tomorrow? I would say that Schiff for Brains is going to be spinning like a dervish on the Sunday shows.

And if Durham has this information, who knows what else he now has. Strozk and Page are busted. Comey is busted. Maybe Brennan, Clapper, and the rest of the cabal are busted too.

Obama apparently told Yates that Flynn was talking to Kisylak, which might, combined with other evidence, be enough to drag President Capri pants into the case. "Nods as good as a wink to a blind man, nudge, nudge". Dirty, dirty, dirty.

The transcript in that Vox article points out Flynn called the Trump transition team prior to the call with the Russian ambassador to get marching orders on how to handle the sanctions topic. Seems fairly obvious to me Flynn had authorization to discuss the sanctions. The claim Flynn got fired because he lied to Pence still fails the smell test.
