Prof. Jacobsen of the Legal Insurrection blog has been targeted by the progressive community at Cornell. The short version is, criticize looters or BLM and you're deemed to be a racist hater unfit for campus life. Don't expect the dean to stand tall for free speech or academic freedom. "Racist" is the Ace of trump right now.
Jonathan Turley blasted Cornell.
I will say - between COVID, on-line classes and the end of free speech, those Ivy price tags seem mighty high.

Sure, it may be a personal insult that Kap kneels but he has every right to do so. Once you deny his rights you might as well deny mine.
We are not talking about his OPINION here; we are talking about MANNERS as indicated by his physical BEHAVIOR, while he is being employed.
He is being rude and disrespectful to the (vast majority of ) CONSUMERS of his PRODUCT by not standing respectfully during the playing of our national anthem.
He is NOT being compelled to take a loyalty oath, sing along, or salute the flag; he is being told to behave as any four year old is expected to.
Let me assure you--I do NOT in any way, shape or form express my political beliefs to anyone during the period of time I am being compensated for my services. Yes, I have the right to do so; but that is absolutely not the time to do so.
I doubt that many of us here do, or ever did.
His employer has every right in the world to delineate his BEHAVIOR while he is being paid, just as K has every right in the world to express himself as he choses--ON HIS OWN TIME.

Re. the riots in Atlanta? That shooting was perfectly justified.
The yo-yo killed was being arrested, fought, and got a taser off one of the cops. Turned and fired it at the cop, who dodged it, then cop returned one shot with the pistol, killing the yo-yo. All on video.
In a sane world, it’s slam dunk good shoot. But mayor fires the cop without any sort of process, and chief resigns.
I predict a massive blue flu in the blue hells. Going to be a long summer.

Jim - the Delta information was emailed to Delta employees (and former employees) by Joanne Smith, "Delta's Executive Vice President & Chief People Officer". The title was ZERO TOLERANCE: OUR STANDARD OF RESPECTFUL, INCLUSIVE BEHAVIOR
1st sentence The important, emotional conversation taking place regarding centuries of racial injustice has served as a catalyst for Delta to hold up a mirror to ourselves, examining every area of our business as an anti-racist, anti-discriminatory organization and an advocate for justice.
And later there is this - We pride ourselves on creating a work environment and customer experience that is safe and welcoming for all, and this includes emotional and psychological safety.
In the middle is the (in my opinion, threat) section about what employees write or post on social media even if they are not identifying themselves as a Delta employee.

A similar thing happened at the school here. A hearing was held on whether to dismiss a student for very intelligent, thoughtful remarks made online. I won't be specific, but the circumstances were chilling.
The determination was to ask the student to leave.

OK, somebody may remember this but I know that one of Gore’s daughters had some kind of DUI, I just can’t find anything at the moment. I guess Karenna was like Obama with degrees from Harvard and Columbia including a JD, and a MFA in Social Ethics. But I really must share what I came across reading about the whole Gore clan again:
In other Gore family news, Montecito Journal columnist Richard Mineards tells Gatecrasher that his lead column story today reports on the $8.75 million five-bedroom, nine-bathroom Spanish style mansion in Santa Barbara that the Gores purchased shortly before their split was made public. Mineards says he was told that the house, which sits on 1.5 choice acres in Montecito (home to Oprah Winfrey, Rob Lowe, John Cleese and Kirk Douglas), was acquired "with the specific intention of giving Tipper a suitable home for herself after they announced their separation."

any employee you are close to recommend closing accounts and a deep scrub ... kitten and puppy pics and self-serving positive comments about the company until actual closing passes into a deep search.
most companies have a social media policy so it would be useful to review it and examine history.
but close accounts and deep scrub, companies exist that can do so.
