No one has chosen Duckworth or Val Demings. I don't think either has a chance because of her previous career.

I've found that if I tilt my glasses forward, they don't fog as badly. Just can't lean over.

Jane,

Dazzle them with the facts.

From the New England Journal of Medicine

https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp2006372

“We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.”

If that doesn't work, poke a hole in his floatie!

Melania Trump is redoing the White House Rose Garden. She will not be attacked for this however, since it is being brought back into conformity to the design Bunny Mellon did for Jacqueline Kennedy and was installed in 1962.

What areas are not true to the original will be because of conformity to the Americans with Disabilities Act.

You asked where this all leads:

"Munich (Germany) (AFP) – German giant BMW on Monday said executive pay would in future be tied to meeting strict targets aimed at lowering the luxury carmaker’s carbon emissions."

Buckeye

The problem -- and for some bosses, great delight -- of modern technology is that it makes you believe employees are available any time, any place, anywhere. And really, how many humans are at their best earlier than they're used to or later than they'd prefer to?

Buckeyette’s boss gave her an assignment Sunday night at 10:00 pm.

I am going to repeat a complaint I have voiced here before, that the iconic Fisher- Price Little People (farm, garage, house, village, etc.) got moved from production in upstate New York to ChYna, along with the Madame Alexander dolls which were made in Harlem, where a number of talented black seamstresses were put out of work.

The Fisher-Price figures were converted to plastic molded figures, which further infuriated me.

Anyway, start running and following Thuret's tips and grow some cells.

The point about Pacepa's writings is that he wrote from inside the Soviet intelligence system.

"1. Fact: Oswald used Soviet spy codes in his correspondence with his Soviet wife...

2. Fact: Weeks before murdering JFK, Oswald met with his PGU boss from Department 13, the foreign assassinations division...

3. Fact: The evidence shows the PGU trained Oswald in covert communications...

4. Fact: Oswald was trained to receive clandestine communications by the PGU...

5. Fact: Oswald regarded his time in the United States as a temporary mission. He planned to return to the Soviet Union...

6. Fact: Oswald returned to the U.S. in 1962 with a PGU-fabricated cover story about his time in the Soviet Union...

7. Fact: Oswald’s wife arrived in the United States with a fake birth certificate...

8. Fact: Oswald’s American “friend” George de Mohrenschildt was a Soviet agent...

9. Fact: Operation Dragon was tasked with promoting Kennedy assassination conspiracy theories that deflected blame from the KGB...

10. Fact: Oswald’s letter implicating the CIA’s E. Howard Hunt was forged 12 years after Oswald’s death...

11. Fact: Evidence Indicates George de Mohrenschildt’s I am a Patsy! I am a Patsy! is also a forgery that contradicts numerous under-oath statements for no reason."

Extraneus

Interesting, Joan.

Regarding neurogenesis and the memory function of the hippocampus:

Some people have better memories for places than others. In part, this is a matter of habit and training - those whose lives depend on their ability to find their way around vast tracts of land naturally attend more closely to landmarks. London taxi drivers, for example, are famously adept at finding their way around the city's labyrinthine streets. Their skill is developed during a two-year training, known as "the knowledge," during which time they "exercise" the part of the hippocampus responsible for spatial memory. The training seems to increase the size of the hippocampus, much as a muscle is enlarged by weight training.

At all events, authority should be more humble when attempting climate engineering, social engineering, and biological experimentation. Humanity can still advance, perhaps more swiftly than before, but on an engineering basis, mindful of the danger and testing its footing at each step. But until science can develop a paradigm that can cope with complex systems, the elites can never again beat forward with the elan and confidence of gods. They — and their Explainers — will have to venture onward as mere men, bereft of certainty, sustained by faith and courage, mindful they are in a very big universe.

Great stuff. The chances of it being embraced by the commies running pretty much all of the institutions of the developed world are practically nil.

A taste...

“That is what this is all about. Robert Silverman and The Daily Beast are openly racist. They work at the behest of and collaborate with other anti-black racists who hide their agenda under the hood of the label “liberal.”

America’s most powerful anti-black bigots ditched KKK hoods and sheets 50 years ago and replaced them with a political moniker — liberal. It was a brilliant strategy. It allowed them to keep their friends close and pull their enemies even closer. We have been programmed to believe the word liberal is the birth-control pill for racism. It’s not even a condom. In fact, it’s worse than just the tip. Liberal is the Shawn Kemp of bigotry. It allows white guys like Silverman to normalize their promiscuous bastardization of anti-black racism.”

Another Bob

Another...

“At age 35, LeBron James has yet to master the art of conjugating verbs to subjects, but white liberals hail him as one of America’s most important voices on race. Name me a white jock as inarticulate they would laud as an important voice on any topic, let alone a topic as complex as race. Colin Kaeperinick’s white liberal handlers won’t even allow him to speak. Somehow he’s analogized to the Louisville Lip, Muhammad Ali.

None of this is coincidence. When it comes to black leadership, white liberals prioritize dumb, dead and devious. “
