Jane, have you checked your bank account balance today, just to be sure they didn't do anything? Couldn't hurt. I partly agree with Reynolds on the stimulus plans (stimuli?). But the real issue is the needlessness of the shutdowns. If they served a genuine public purpose, then some of the "stimulus" could be thought of as compensation for the exercise of eminent domain. Government orders your business closed for x weeks, but compensates you so you don't go under. Government temporarily shuts down your place of employment, but compensates you so you don't lose your home or starve.
Of course the plans are a mess since they're not designed exactly like that, but they do have that effect along with many others. But the problem is that the shutdowns serve no public purpose; they're a complete waste.

Where do you get $450,000 in six days, after you claim to be broke? In reality, for Hunter Biden, one of two places—either Daddy or the Chinese government.
“For a guy claiming to be broke and unemployed in January in order to avoid paying child support, Hunter Biden was able to ‘resolve’ a $450,000 tax lien in mid-July, just six days after it was issued.
Although Biden claimed that he was broke, he was living in a $12,000-per-month Hollywood Hills rental home and spotted driving a $129,000 Porsche Panamera in Beverly Hills.

Towards the end one judge finally asked a general question about the EPIC BOOM!!! to Sullivan’s counsel. The counsel responded that the court isn’t really looking for that droid. Then the court moved on. Epic dud...

'Herd' immunity, I see what you did there. :)

If you want an interesting read get the Intentional University about minerva and then appreciate that the same platform, the data it extracts, and the mind it creates is being applied to K-12.
It will also foster some interesting conversations with your daughters and their fact-filled minds.
The solicitor picked up on one bit that caught my attention. Sullivan’s counsel, when questioned about the fact finding mission played the whole thing down as Flynn and the DOJ overreacted and stated that Ol’ Sully was just planning on a quick procedural mop up that would have been over faster than popping a pimple.
The solicitor general, in rebuttal, suggested “WTF?!?!”
He pointed out how the whole mess began as a fact finding mission and referenced the early orders from Sullivan. He then pointed out how Sullivan’s counsel has twice backed away from that fact with her statement today essentially making Sullivan’s order an irrelevant waste of time.
Either Sullivan was after something so egregious that he found it necessary to violate separation of powers or he had nothing and is wasting the court’s and Flynn’s time. Which is it? It was an excellent closing, IMO.
Portland cops handcuff female protester, get asked if female cop is there for pat-down. Male officer quips, 'How do you know that I don’t identify as a female?'
SWC ant CTH’s digital goon squad are dirty street fighting in a back alley that only Twitter can provide. SWC tends to Andy McCarthy his statements when he “protects the institution” and doesn’t listen to common sense complaints about the DOJ. On the other hand CTH’s reliable TwitterTroopers generally don’t dabble in common sense when they are in psycho sycophant mode(which is most of the time.)
SWC is also contemplating revealing who he is. Anyone who has followed him for some time may already know due to an error in one of his articles that let the cat out of the bag. He wants privacy so I ain’t saying shit.
Reporting, even as asides in a story, on a woman’s looks, weight, tone of voice, attractiveness and hair is sexist news coverage unless the same analysis is applied to every candidate
I wondered if we could say the same things about the pretend governor elect of Ga as we would about Nadler.
i yield! i yield! both his economic polices and foreign polices had long lived benefits. more people were working and making more money and building up our national defense brought down the evil empire.
also NZ (the global south) is in their winter months-the cold and flu season-so it isn't really any wonder why the outbreak was less in the beginning (their summer months) and starting to ramp up now. and in nz's case i wonder what the costs have been to have been so restrictive to date.
What error have you noticed in his work, tk, he thought the fara prosecutions re manafort wouldnt go anywhere, he fired a non tupolev torpedo at the good prisecutors for huffing kelloggs fusion flakes
That is a good question, narciso. I really don’t have a list of errors.* off the top of my head he has screwed up how the Flynn trial would go during the mandamus mess. Truth is it is more of an emotional gripe I have about how he positions himself to defend his home team. Maybe he is correct, but I don’t it. The DOJ isn’t full of a bunch of good people.
*I think a accuracy blog that beat on the Twitter clowns like DawsonSFields, StealthJeff, etc as well as the sharp Tweeters would be informative. After DawsonSFields blew all his credibility on 800 Dimensional Trump Chess, he now mostly sticks to financial crimes that he gleefully attaches #butnothingishappening as a dig at the people who said he was a complete idiot WRT Comey. I think middle initial “S” stands Strawman. I digress.
Point being, I wouldn’t mind a rating system that lets you know who is a waste of time and who isn’t. Like that garbage site Truepundit(or something like that) JOM figures it out anyways. But others need some help.
SARS1 is not a useful example. Its transmission is different and it was fully contained everywhere.

The frustration with the stupidity of our "leaders" tearing down not just years but decades, of work, if this lasts long enough and the cacophony of these imbeciles who have sprung these absurd pseudo-scientific policies and claims on us, nearly all of which discard and ignore the accumulated wisdom of what viruses do and how to deal with them is overwhelming at times.
The damage, arrogance and authoritarianism are revealed in fast motion with a public health "emergency", as opposed to the even greater and more hidden destruction of equally pseudo-scientific environmental, economic, political and cultural claims and regs spread out over the decades of glacial grinding destruction.
Let's hope that produces an equally potent backlash.
But like climate science, no amount of sound contradictory science proving the alarmists are bullshit factories will ever convince the true believers lockdowns and coercion aren't just what the doctor ordered.

I will summarize what I read in the new these couple of days
The ship owner brought the stuff and he knew about the fake buyer.
The ship had a problem and it was deliberate that it should stop in Beirut.
The shipment was put in the port. 2700 tons.
2400 tons were taken to Syria. Experts believe that 300 tons exploded otherwise the damage would have reached 50 km.
The ones involved include Hariri’s men who were supporting AlNusra in Syria like Oqab Saqr.
President Aoun knew about the stuff and ordered a full investigation take care of it on July 20.
The investigation reached the Minister of Public Works on August 4 in the morning, the day of the explosion.
They were fixing the door as a cover up and their intention was to burn the hangar so no proof will be available, also to blame it on the current government and to force it to resign because it signed a deal with Forensic Auditing Companies on all ministries.

Great new book by former Director of Oval Office Operations, Madeleine Westerhout, entitled “Off the Record”. When I look at all of the Fake Books and garbage written about me, it’s really nice to see a very smart and already wise young woman write an honest depiction of what....
...went on at the White House during some extremely interesting and important times. So many good stories by someone who, unlike most other so called writers, was actually there, and a part of the action - of which there was plenty. Go buy this book, a job well done!

“We ask staff to wear masks when on externally facing calls is that, taken out of context, a screenshot of a staff person or high ranking department official, if not properly attributed, could be misinterpreted to suggest that state employees are not properly following the Governor’s directive,” DNR spox Megan Sheridan said to McClatchy.
What's the point of a video conference then? Why not just teleconference?

State health department surveys show 21,000 nursing home beds are lying empty this year, 13,000 more than expected-- an increase of almost double the official state nursing home death tally.
--2400 tons were taken to Syria. Experts believe that 300 tons exploded otherwise the damage would have reached 50 km.--
That makes more sense to me. 300 tons is 11 semis full of high explosives.
2750 tons is 100 semis full of high explosives.
If you look at the actual size of the explosion hard to see that as being the equivalent of 1.8kilotons of TNT.
Could be wrong but 1800 tons of TNT should not be as survivable as it was for those within a mile or two of it.
A B-52 can carry ~70,000 pounds but only about half the weight is actual explosives. For 2750 tons of AN to go off it would have been the equivalent of concentrating the conventional bomb loads of 100 B-52s in one spot and moment. That did not look like 100 B-52 bombloads at once to me.

New York’s coronavirus death toll in nursing homes, already among the nation’s highest, could actually be a major undercount because it only counts residents who died on nursing home property, not those who died after being transported to hospitals. http://apne.ws/whFn6mN

I guess it's not Cuomo.
I waded through Cliff Mass's blog re the Kristallnacht comparison to current Seattle. The following comment was particularly well done:
Cliff,
I am posting a copy of the letter I just sent to Joey Cohn, which I doubt will see the light of day otherwise.
Mr Cohn,
I enjoy NPR radio for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the alignment with my own moderately liberal bias, but especially because it is one of the few places where there is a serious attempt at presenting counterpoint. Richard Power said in The Understory, “the human species has a tremendous tendency to mistake agreement for truth”. Without counterpoint, we often fail to do the hard work - that is, to think. For that reason, I am a Supporting Listener and have contributed to your station for 25+ years
I was surprised to see your letter of yesterday concerning Cliff Mass. I did read the original language before Mr. Mass edited his blog message. His comparison of the events in Seattle to Kristallnacht, which he attributes to small factions in the protest movement, may be offensive to you, but the analogy is not entirely without merit. When we ignore history, we make the same mistakes. Based on my own history of growing up in the South, I have deep aversion to racism, violence, and police brutality, and I have a low tolerance for predjudice. I did not find Mr Mass’s blog offensive. It was largely observational, full of opinion.
The main point of Mr Mass’s blog was to criticize public government and leadership, a pretty American sentiment. What you did was to fire him for expressing his personal view on his own personal blog, not on KNKX. In my opinion, you censure him for his views. While I don’t think I would agree with Mr Mass’s more conservative politics, I find the mischaracterization of his comments and public denouncement to your listeners disgusting. Our letters are similar in that they both criticize leadership, in my case, yours. You are fired.
"I don’t care if someone decides to loot a Gucci or a Macy’s or a Nike store, because that makes sure that person eats. That is reparations,” proclaimed a BLM Chicago leader as a “loot back” sign was displayed behind her."

He wants a pat on the back and a hearty handshake for a job well done and then a soapbox to denounce all those deplorables who didn't kill thousands of grannies needlessly.
It is tough to tell how many bags are strewn about the warehouse from the crap photo in the first link. The second link suggests that there were “hundreds” of bags.
The bag is listed as 1000kg which equals 1.1tons. Although I believe the warehouse is large enough to store a couple thousand bags, The Sun’s claim that there were hundreds is more in line with Neo’s summary.
That being said the links I posted yesterday that explain orange clouds and AN make it pretty clear that the cloud color is a product of an incomplete explosion. Maybe a perfect explosion of 2700tons would have caused the 50km of damage that was speculated in Neo’s post, but, absent Oswaldo’s super-secret Iranian Rocket Fuel, the ANFO would have NOT produced an orange cloud.
An imperfect combustion would explain both the orange cloud as well as the blast radius being significantly less than 50km
I had to run to phipps maybe 6 weeks ago to look at some options in person and despite the mall being largely deserted there was a long line at the gucci store waiting to get in.

More likely people trying to get a refund on stolen merch. Toss out the race card when they refuse without a receipt and boom.
That sir was a letter that will live long in the grave of futility. I have to see a complaint of liberal views in the media get more than a yawn and 3 point attempt to the wastebasket.
It wouldn't surprise me that Biden and his crew have decided the only way to be competitive is the wussie sympathy vote, especially after he self immolates in the first debate.
Ten experts on a NIH COVID-19 panel have ties to companies involved in coronavirus treatment. Eight members of NIH's COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel list financial ties to Gilead Sciences, whose COVID-19 drug remdesivir has been touted by Dr. Anthony Fauci.
And Dr. Fauci's in league with all of them. That's why he was so adamant that Hydroxychloroquine could not be used — because he knew it is very effective against Coronaviruses but as it is inexpensive, he would make no money on the deal. Thinking back on the year, the entire adult population, especially the older population and those with compromised immune systems, could have been put on Hydroxychloroquine both as a preventative measure and as a treatment. All the thousands of lives lost can be attributed directly to Fauci and his cronies at the CDC and the FDA and the media censors who have prevented the truth from being told.
New York’s coronavirus death toll in nursing homes, already among the nation’s highest, could actually be a major undercount because it only counts residents who died on nursing home property, not those who died after being transported to hospitals.
I think that's old news. I recall reading that a couple months ago, and posting about it here. Worth a reminder, though, in case he has any thoughts of higher office, ever.
Meanwhile, he's continuing to destroy NY's economy and make everyone here miserable, just to cover up his crimes by the charade that he's doing something constructive, so as to get credit for the low infection numbers in the state.
Low now because he killed off so many of the vulnerable months ago.

Most people instinctively bristle at being told what to do. They might grudgingly accept it from a George Patton type whom they respect, but it's even more difficult to follow orders coming from a gruff woman, and even more so from a younger, not unattractive one. Maybe that's sexist, but I'd bet even women feel this way.
The women I've known who were successful high-level managers in the business world had a light touch. Whitmer, on the other hand, has surely pissed off a lot of people in Michigan. I think she did herself in.

He wants privacy so I ain’t saying shit.

also NZ (the global south) is in their winter months-the cold and flu season-so it isn't really any wonder why the outbreak was less in the beginning (their summer months) and starting to ramp up now. and in nz's case i wonder what the costs have been to have been so restrictive to date.

What do a SK, Taiwan or NZ do, especially if no particularly useful vaccine is developed?
Turn into their own little hermit kingdoms?

The word on the streets of Beirut:

AP: Andrew Cuomo Significantly Undercounted the Number of Nursing Home Victims He Murdered By Only Counting Those Who Died In the Nursing Home -- Rather Than at the Emergency Room or ICU, After Being Infected by Him -- as "Nursing Home Deaths"
Posted by: Extraneus | August 11, 2020 at 03:02 PM

Sincerely,
Former KNKX supporter
Sadly KNKX is my main music station. :(

Picture at the door of the warehouse:
https://www.the-sun.com/news/1269746/shocking-beirut-pics-deadly-ammonium-nitrate-warehouse

Anthony Fauci.
https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/coronavirus/ten-experts-nih-covid-19-panel-have-ties-companies-involved-coronavirus

Meanwhile, he's continuing to destroy NY's economy and make everyone here miserable, just to cover up his crimes by the charade that he's doing something constructive, so as to get credit for the low infection numbers in the state.

Whitmer will be lucky to finish out her term.
