Jack Lillywhite

I am going fast.

Sunny weekend ahead here.

Jack Lillywhite

Miss Laura heading for Louisiana.

Good Morning! Jack, what is the hurricane forecast?

Donald J. Trump
The Democrats took the word GOD out of the Pledge of Allegiance at the Democrat National Convention. At first I thought they made a mistake, but it wasn’t. It was done on purpose. Remember Evangelical Christians, and ALL, this is where they are coming from-it’s done. Vote Nov 3!

Donald J. Trump
Another bad night of Rioting in Portland, Oregon. A small number of Federal troops there to protect courthouse and other Federal property only (great job!). Wanting to be asked by City & State to STOP THE RIOTS. Would bring in National Guard, end problem immediately. ASK!

Donald J. Trump
Biden and the Democrats have greatly disrespected the Great State of Wisconsin by not even paying a small visit to Milwaukee, the designated site of the DNC. The State & City worked very hard to make sure things would be good. Not nice. Vote Trump Wisconsin!

Donald J. Trump
Why would Suburban Women vote for Biden and the Democrats when Democrat run cities are now rampant with crime (and they aren’t asking the Federal Government for help) which could easily spread to the suburbs, and they will reconstitute, on steroids, their low income suburbs plan!

Donald J. Trump
The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics. Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives! @SteveFDA

Robin, eff 'em all

Good morning! I feel like that is the first time in ages I've enjoyed the week in pictures in real time and it was a good one.

From my Facebook feed, only the truly desperate are singing the praises of the DNC convention, the rest are comparing voting to Biden to riding a city bus that simply gets you closer to your destination.

Retweeted by the president. Link has a full video interview with Trey Gowdy by Maria Bartiromo.

Trey Gowdy: #Brennan was either #inaccurate or #incompetent!" | Opinion - Conservative | Before It's News

Robin, eff 'em all

This has pretty much been a shit week, so I haven't even been able to properly enjoy the DNC convention as I normally would have. I ruptured my achilles Thursday night helping with a volleyball practice and have surgery this week, then no weight on the foot for a couple of weeks. Our old house is not designed for convalescents - so many high thresholds and single steps into areas - so a knee scooter is out. Still trying to figure out how to carry coffee to the couch, which is my bed for the next few weeks. My family is being awesome, but it will get old for them, I'm sure. Any crutch tricks would be helpful.

Old Lurker

Better Trey Gowdy:

Brennan was both a traitor AND a perjurer.

In either case he should be in jail.

Video interview at the link.

Robin, you need a thermos and a cross body bag to carry stuff to the couch in.

Of all the non-elected people in DC, Brennan is my #1 candidate for long-term imprisonment.

Crutch tricks.... by the time you figure them out you are healed. And it’s not like riding a bicycle, you relearn each time. The single crutch & hop routine sort of works in a tight space.

Old Lurker

Clarice "Robin, you need a thermos and a cross body bag to carry stuff to the couch in."

Me: Robin, you need more attentive family members... Experiment with a little silver bell and see how that works.

Donald J. Trump
Many doctors and studies disagree with this!
Twitter Moments

The FDA is revoking its emergency use authorization of hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine for treating COVID-19 amid growing evidence that the drugs are "unlikely to be effective" in treating the coronavirus.

Old Lurker

MM, I'm not sure your statement is made any better with the qualifier "non-elected".

I will bet that couch will need extra pillows for back support when you are trying to work. You may also need a lap desk.

Clarice is right; a thermos is a good idea, but 2 would be better, because you will probably want one for cold drinks, too.

Old Lurker

Trump "Many doctors and studies disagree with this!"

I'll tell you what else many doctors and studies disagree with. It was yesterday in his comments about how great the economy was before "the plague struck".

It is true that every single political leader acted and is acting as if that is what it was.

But they were/are wrong about that and great unnecessary damage was done/is being done to the people as a result.

We will never recover all that lost, and we may well never regain the freedom and liberty they stole from us under that banner.

Robin, eff 'em all

Me: Robin, you need more attentive family members... Experiment with a little silver bell and see how that works.

My phone doubles as a silver bell. ;-)

Robin, after my foot surgery,I used a knee scooter. Getting over thresholds is tricky, but I learned to lift the handles to position the front wheel over the thresholds. The best thing about the scooter was being hands free at the sink or loading the washing machine. I'm sure you'll adjust to using the crutches and learn tricks. Keep a basket of stuff that you need on a table near the couch. Take care!

That extra payout from the CARES Act for the Front Line? Well, looks like some politicians feel it's fungible:

Nursing homes accuse Washington state of diverting millions in federal COVID-19 funds to other state coffers

No, you need to imagine I have several lists in my brain, and I think about who I want in prison.

Brennan is dangerous, an actual communist, was well aware of many of the crimes on-going in DC, probably used blackmail and threats, and is truly obnoxious. Was he worse than Hillary or Obama or Biden? Don't know, but he definitely should be in prison!

Donald J. Trump
In New Jersey they want you to certify that you asked for the Universal Mail-In Ballot that they sent you. But you never asked for it. Disaster in the wings!

Robin, eff 'em all

So here's a kicker:

Our little city, which is completely dependent on the economic health of the two institutes of higher learning on the hills above, is facing a catastrophic budget shortfall. Most of the programming for kids was eliminated this summer and higher taxes are on the horizon to simply cover the gap. Despite this, the city closed two blocks yesterday to repair potholes in preparation for a Black Lives Matter mural to be painted on the street. Yup, city funds in scarce supply and many major roads in poor condition, yet here we are.

Just curious if anyone thought University endowments could play a part in the great Papers Caper, and I thought, Why would they bother?. Well, this one is three years old and tells me that Anywhere there's a big pot of money, that someone's going to want to play with it:

And now the CalPERS termination and associated problems have a whole new focus for me.

Robin, eff 'em all

Melinda -

Holy cow! Nope, never thought of it, but would explain a lot.

And the doctors who speak up about it are banned from the public square.

Sorry to hear robin,

This was shared the other day and I just got around to reading it. I liked this bit:

But the biggest cost I see is in the American Spirit. If you consider the history of this nation we have survived genuine plague-regional famine-economic depression-global war. The depravations of the western migration were extraordinary. The list is endless. We are a nation used to adversity, even adversity to death. What has made us American is our ability to cope and overcome. We are defined by our ability to prosper when the circumstances are against us.

The shutdowns are; however, the very antithesis of that Spirit. The shutdowns rob us of our opportunity to overcome and to prevail. We are prevented, by virtue of the government that is supposed to enable us, from exercising our capabilities. We are punished for having fun!? (For the record, not contending a “party house” is a good idea, just pointing out there is something deeply unAmerican about the use of punitive government action to control it.)

We have this rather marxist group that started a Facebook group called Tompkins Mutual Aid. It started out being simply helpful with connecting people who needed help to people with resources, but it's evolved into a political operation. Yesterday, they posted a new website they designed to report and monitor people breaking COVID rules - large gatherings and house parties, people walking around without masks, businesses who don't enforce the mask requirements immediately - and I was pleased to see lots of pushback from folks on the left who saw this as a bridge too far. Lots of Orwellian talk and since when are we a police state jargon.

I find that rather hopeful here in 10 square miles surrounded by reality.

There's Hope Out There:

The message is getting out, @DwarfToday

Who's Gonna Be Lucky Indicted #2? - Brian Cates
Indicted for taking CCP $ to illegally lobby for the CCP

Just another norm the Trump DOJ is destroying, actually enforcing FARA against illegal foreign lobbying of US government officials.

Lot of folks in the political class doing this crime.

Both Laura and Marco 'canes will hit Louisiana together either late Tuesday or early Wednesday next week. Some models show the cones actually merging near Terrebone Parish, LA. Hard to believe!

So the cambridge semimar was welcoming gospodin debbins nine years after he officially stopped spying.

I turned one of my chatacters named from pugachev to pechorin.

That Green Beret arrested yesterday? Imagine my surprise that he also presented a paper on Putin's Worldview at Cambridge University's Intelligence Seminar.

You know, the one where Halper helped elevate the Seminar's image and draw. Imagine that!

IWP alumnus Peter Debbins will be presenting on "Putin’s Russia: Worldview, Grand Strategy and Cyberspace" at the University of Cambridge Intelligence Seminar this Thursday.

Bonus Grab:

Holy shit Debbins is a Hybrid Warfare Instructor for the U.S. European Command and NATO.

From the last thread...

Three Gorges has “sediment sluice gates” and “surface sluice gates”. I’m not that kind of engineer, but I think the sediment gates drain from the bottom and the surface from nearer the top. Allegedly, total max discharge rate is 100K cubic meters/second.

Brennan’s spokesperson is claiming Brennan grilled Durham on why DOJ and Barr are investigating routine actions and it seems political. To me this is Brennan lying and trying to lay the groundwork to cry it’s a political hit job when he’s indicted.
Adam Housley
Brennan and his people are pushing this narrative to try and get some in the media and others who may support him to believe Durham is political. Durham and the investigators are not. Brennan knows he’s in trouble.

Steele and his gang remind me of howard hunts attempt to edit cables in the time of diems assasination fake but accurate,

Brennams a character like arvin sloane or henry wilcox. You can only pin him down with a paper trail

“ And the doctors who speak up about it are banned from the public square.”

Still puzzled about HCQ. I’ve confirmed doctors can prescribe an approved drug for off-label. The FDA is not allowed to regulate the practice of medicine. As far as I can tell, an EUA is only to facilitate availability and distribution of a drug. It is still legal for doctors to prescribe HCQ or any other approves drug for any medical purpose they see fit. But apparently governors can prevent it with a phone and a pen?

I’m with OL 100% that everything about this fake pandemic shows that our legal system leaves us citizens subject to tremendous abuse, particularly by governors, who seem to be able to give themselves unlimited power for unlimited time.

off-label use, that is.

Its that old joke about dihydrogen oxide made real, remember he much devlin macregor i mean gilead has put into this drug, with the chinese patent.

Lots of things popping up now:

Given that Debbins appears to be a "true believer" in the cause of Russian nationalism, his public commentaries on security matters offer a unique pool of data against which to evaluate his thinking and actions.

Jenna McLaughlin @JennaMC_Laugh
Soo, if it's the same Peter Debbins (justice.gov/opa/pr/former-…) alleged to have spied for GRU, I totally saw him speak once in DC and remember it being SUPER weird and focused on Russia's messianic dream of cleansing the world when I was promised a cyber talk.

This is as obvious as major hassan and his presentation on jihad isnt it.

Pretty glaring.

Old Lurker

Jimmy "shows that our legal system leaves us citizens subject to tremendous abuse"

Actually the system itself has so many protections and remedies written into it that none of this need have occurred. But WeThePeople have been slowly warmed in the pot over a century and a half to forget what the vision was in the first place, and we forgot that our Founders were designing around known traps and pitfalls that everybody coming here wanted to put behind them for good. So now the average man in the street does not know what his natural rights are, what tools are at his disposal to protect them, nor does he even know what that tool is for and how he would use it.

Juanita Brodderick retweeted this. Down in the replies you can see that the dems are pulling out the stops and trying to say that it isn't true, when the video plainly shows him being an absolute asshole to those people.

I do not want to hear ONE WORD from anyone who says President Trump is "un-presidential" after watching this. Obama couldn't even be polite or kind!

Time For Some Fresh Tribe!

Laurence Tribe
Why Trump’s sickening tryst with QAnon is no harmless dalliance

My hockey gear is long gone, but I still have my skates. I taught my grand daughter to ice skate initially. Many at the rink commented on my cool old skates.

They were the traditional leather boots with laces. These days they are made from plastic and have buckles, and look a lot like ski boots. The change makes sense.

It sure made me feel old, but the old skates still work well eoungh.

The level of hatred Tribe has for Trump is absolutely incomprehensible to me. They sure were hoping that mild comment about "Q" would stir up a huge hornet's nest of controversy.

All I can see is that Trump, once again, out-maneuvered them, and Tribe is left sputtering in rage and hatred to an ever-dwindling audience.

It’s clear John Brennan, CIA ran the US side of the operation to frame Donald Trump.

It’s clear Robert Hannigan, GCHQ ran the UK side of the operation to frame Donald Trump.

What did Barack Obama and Teresa May know and when did they know it?

Getting closer...

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

It has really been tried, many times, and at the end of the trial it's always found guilty;

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

--Why Trump’s sickening tryst with QAnon is no harmless dalliance--

Nice try, Larry, but everyone is still watching you progs embracing murderous rioters, anarchists and Marxist racists.
That's the nice thing about today's progs; you don't have to conjure conspiracy theories. They commit their conspiracies right out in the open.

Ignatz is right! Here's the Mayor of Bloomington, Indiana (IU's main campus is there) issuing a "No Fun" edict!

You know, I can just see those progs huddled in their lavish banquet room, thrilled with their idea to keep large gatherings from forming and sure, SURE that this will stop rallies and they will finally have stopped Trump!

I don't know what to make of Ray McGovern and his cohort Binney. Both Veteran Professionals for Sanity, aka VIPS. I don't trust him and never will. The VIPS were Valerie Plame apologists and as far as I'm concerned, caused more death in Iraq by their anti-war efforts.

Mcgovern and madsen are certifiable, but when its price and the other guy certifying

This is what both Adam Housley and Trey Gowdy were commenting on which I posted earlier this morning.

This is also something President Trump was referencing this morning, and which the Democrats ignored all during their convention.

I'm so sorry. That sucks!

March 2016: Brennan secretly went to Moscow

April 2016: Brennan & Robert Hannigan (UK), GCHQ met in DC to discuss Trump/Russia

Jan 20, 2017: Trump Inauguration

Jan 23, 2017: Hannigan abruptly retires from GCHQ

There are 0 coincidences.

Brennan (BO) is behind it and must pay.

Here's a screen cap I took of Joe Wilson's 2003 EPIC Forum bio. I grabbed it because it contained the name of his super secret CIA agent, proving it was him who outed his wife. McGovern's bio just happened to be above his.

Here's the scrubbed version.

That's pretty funny;

This is a really neat video of a California Fire crew dropping fire retardant over some forests in the mountains:

I pulled that out of a thread full of videos and still pictures that the guy posted, which is here:

He says this is in the hills west of Healdsburg.

a-mom, if you see this, I have a question...

I have my appointment with the rheumatology clinic in a week, and might be able to talk them into a scrip for plaquenil. (I'm one of the weirdos with psoriatic arthritis who hasn't had a skin psoriasis outbreak in years.) What's the order of magnitude that y'all are using for HCQ for prophylaxis for the CCPv?

I also have it, and I didn't have an outbreak until I moved and lost access to the pool in the summer. (This is not the type of neighborhood where I want to lie out in the sun. Ha!) Now I have it on both shins!

I wonder how much Vitamin D would help in tablet form. Do you take any?

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

That's one of the DC-10 tankers, MM.

The North Bay fire is now over 300,000 acres and second biggest in CA history.
The South Bay one is approaching 300,000 acres.
The Santa Cruz one is 63,000.
The one further north in mostly unoccupied parts of Mendocino county is about 150,000.
Weather is way cooler and more humid as the remnants of a hurricane in Baja filter up.
But the chance for more dry lightning accompanies the clouds Monday.

The first three posts on this thread are a series of videos that the poster took with her phone of an interview that Fox and Friends did this morning with a NYPD officer and former black NYPD officers discussing how morale has sunk in the NYPD and in police departments across the country due to the trashing of police by democrat activists and elected officials, including DeBlasio, Biden, and Harris:

Thanks for identifying the plane and the location. I wanted to link it due to my friend who lurks here and talks with me on the phone.

That WHO director infuriates me.

Since we are under some sort of emergency, I want President Trump to get the Army Corps of Engineers to bulldoze down the entire UN building and tell them they have to get out of the USA. Seems to me they never do anything that is helpful. Never.

Housework and laundry beckons. Back later.

Housework and laundry never beckon.

They are, however, grudgingly done.

Robin - I read your post on IG explaining other awful things about the week! I'm so sorry. I second the thermos - I had one when recovering from my accident. It kept my coffee hot for hours. But let the family pamper you - you've taken care of them for years!

This was so funny to me...

LOL, Momto2! That made my day.

I agree also that Robin should let the famdamily pamper her. Not sure how old your kids are, but having three, by the time I was half way through high school I was pretty much done! I went away for a week without husband and younger two, and after that I never made lunches again. They can do a whole lot when left to do it themselves - from laundry to shopping, and the cooking.

I hope you heal up quickly!

Just a quick pop in. Busy

How did your husbands test go.

You know what undercuts democracy? Not having a peaceful transition of power because one party is conducting a surveillance program on the other.
This was posted late Wednesday evening, so I assume after Obama's speech. The replies indicate that there are very few Democrats who are happy, nice people. They apparently believe that bullying and threatening is the way to win more voters.

Thanks MissM, I can see the change in my son. He told me he'd get out if he could. Unfortunately, he only has 10 years in, not enough to get out and too much to start over.

Narciso - ccgirl posted that her husband got a clean bill of health. Such good news!
