A participant in the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine trial has developed a dire inflammatory disease which can be a result of infection, or, er, things that mimic infection, such as vaccines.
The program is on pause pending a safety review. Obviously they are not un-vaccinating anyone, but no new patients will get jabbed. And since the protocol (in the US anyway) calls for two vaccinations 4 weeks apart, a long safety pause will disrupt that timing for those awaiting their second shot.
Derek Lowe has more.

I noticed that too but I think his later point was that even if they do have a marginal effect [affect? :)] it is only temporary and just pushes whatever disease they forestall into the future.
Fair enough, though I don't think he put it that way. The other thing is that he doesn't explain why the timing is different in the south and west US and relatively tropical places like Brazil. For the SW my theory is the hot weather shutting people indoors with A/C. That might also explain why Africa didn't see very much impact.

CH quotes some pungent stuff on 'child porn':
"The Bulwark's "Culture Editor" defends Cuties, attacks critics ... I saw a clip of 11 year old girls wagging their assholes and pumping their vages in my fucking face"
Here in CA we have a recent state Senate bill that child molesters can avoid the Sex Offender database if the age difference is 10 years or less and the sex is "voluntary".
It's sponsored by SF's Scott Wiener and is hailed as a victory for LBGTQ
The CaliforniaUnderground podcast had an episode which discusses that it is notable that if you scroll through donations to Sen Wiener you see a LOT of people and orgs located in Burbank, the home of Hollywood. Warner Bros, Disney, both groups/PACs and individual employees.
Ask yourself: why?

UPDATE: I recreated the log of Mueller team's phones to see how many unique phones were wiped. Some didn't have an ID assigned, so an exact count isn't yet possible, but:
Mueller's team wiped at least 27 and as many as 31 iPhones. At least two of the phones were wiped twice.

The teachers' union here in Ithaca might have finally killed the golden goose. Families with multiple kids in public school got their remote learning schedules and have elected to homeschool. It's purely anecdotal at this point, but teachers are freaking out about the funding that will be eliminated for next year with this year's withdrawal numbers.

There's often something different or 'off' but they're pretty minor until looking back they are seen as the red flags they were.

Robin, On 9/11 my teacher neighbor came over after school. (There is a military base that edges our town and two others. And we have sandy soil, and are practically at sea level, etc). She said teachers were saying that there are nuclear bombs at the base and that Cape Cod would be targeted.
Ah yeah, that's when I really understood there was a problem with many of the teachers. Not an ounce of common sense. Did they think they just put the bombs in the parking lot?!

Henry “Federal prosecutor Nora Dannehy, a top aide to U.S. Attorney John H. Durham, has resigned from the Justice Department probe out of concern that the investigative team is being pressed for political reasons to produce a report before its work is done.”
Whatever this really is, it is a failure in leadership between the AG and the USA. In a tight chain of command, this would not happen. But if either or both the AG or the USA are Deep Staters, this is exactly how they show POTUS who is actually in charge, and how they can up the odds on running him out of the WH.
I would further note that "resigning from the probe" implies keeping the cushy DOJ gig. That would also point at her boss, or his boss, or both of them are trying to make Trump look bad by inference, but without hurting the hitman assigned to pull the trigger.

Posted by: jimmyk | September 11, 2020 at 03:55 PM
How long has Durham been on the case? How complex is it? How draining is it?
The reports all seem to exclude the obvious; burnout, boredom, etc. People leave jobs all the time but in DC it is always political.
The Durham news has been quiet for a bit so the media are probably doing more damage control.
Durham was chosen because of his objectivity and tenacity. The same can be said of Barr. Their allegiance is to the Constitution and their loyalty is to the office of the President. The media won't admit this.

I think at some point the colleges and universities
will do to themselves what almost every other institution has done. Go woke and go broke. My private high school sent an email that they now have an "equity and inclusion officer." Good luck with that! I stopped giving them a small donation years ago.
We are seeing a HUGE change in this country. Not sure what the outcome will be. There are some good teachers and profs everywhere, but at some point they and every body else must start speaking up. That is very hard to do in this super charged environment. Son saw the light a long time ago, and oldest (the private school teacher) had a light bulb moment this week. Yet the letters to the local paper are all from complete loons this week. Silent majority perhaps is staying silent.
I guess we are all arming ourselves first - just in case. Hubs received his LTC today!
