Mark Tapscott @ Insty links to that Mirengoff piece that I posted last night with this:
WILL TRUMP BE OVERCONFIDENT TUESDAY NIGHT? Powerline’s Paul Mirengoff has watched a few presidential debates in his day and he notes that incumbents tend not to do well in the first contest of the quadrennial campaigns.
Mirengoff doesn’t suggest Trump will stumble for that reason but he does see some significant potential problems from a related factor, namely, OrangeManBad’s reliance on rhetoric, presence and (selected) facts to make his case.
Mirengoff, his Powerline colleagues John Hinderaker and Scott Johnson, and Glenn here at Instapundit are the three guys I have followed longer than anybody else in Blogdom, and I especially pay attention to Paul’s analysis before significant events like presidential debates.
Then I’d suggest you’re merely confirming your own bias. Okay, nothing wrong with this because we all do. But guys like you and Mirengoff still attempt to analyze Trump through the—what should by now be obvious and ridiculously useless—same old GOPe parameters. Besides, the other three guys you cite have clearly dropped this worthless analysis. Why can’t you?
Maybe the third time of getting a Nobel nomination will be the charm!
I still maintain that the FBI should be dismantled. Maybe keep the fingerprint and chemical analysis departments, but the rest should just go. If they are honest, send the agents to be federal marshals, The crooked ones should be fired and prosecuted.
I really am interested in something that Carlos said the other day: No one is paying attention to Trump being a showman. Things seem to be dropping into the public eye at a faster and faster pace. I look forward to another exciting week.

The ‘Trump Doctrine’ earns President third Nobel Peace Prize nomination https://www.skynews.com.au/details/_6195238657001
Eminent law professor David Flint is among four Australian law professors who are nominating US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize on the basis of the “Trump Doctrine”. Only members of a national parliament or law professors are able to nominate others for the Nobel Peace Prize with President Trump already receiving two nominations for his promotion of peace in the Middle-East.
You will get indictments when the public is demanding them. That is why, all of a sudden, the envy gene is being stirred up by the leftist press with the tax story. even though it's really nothing new and they cannot legally produce one tax document. Twitter even has it on the sidebar as trending.

The $750 was an *additional* payment on top of millions already paid.
I mean, I've read @alexthechick 's thread twice and it angers me more each time. Not only is it a complete lie, they included the compensation from employees.

Biden campaign has called a lid at 9:52am.
9:57 AM · Sep 28, 2020
Maybe a dumb question but has he done anything *before* 9:52am? I typically think of the phrase "putting a lid on something" as meaning there was something happening that is now stopping.
As far as I can tell, from 4 or 5 a.m. when President Trump is awake, up and getting things done until the 9 or 10 am LID - Biden hasn't done squat!
I have to do some work before daughter starts phone duty and I am locked in here with the noisy dog and complaining cat.
These 2 cats are like a combination of cheetah and tree-climbing leopard. They like to run back and forth the length of the house early in the morning. When I got up to make coffee, there was a huge knife in the center of the kitchen floor. Apparently one had knocked it off the counter last night where my daughter had left it.
Lyle, long story here, but Mrs Gus drove me to LOMIRA WI to pick up my bf's pickup truck. It broke down 50 some miles short of the airport on Wednesday. He called me and I got him to the airport and back home to FLORIDA. I get the truck late Saturday afternoon. I leave the car lot.
The GAS TANK is completely empty. (of course).
I cross the road to a nice looking gas station and convenience store. My wife hops out of her car, and asks if we have to wear masks. As Henry has pointed out, our cadaver/Governor has required we wear masks everywhere. Walk in, NO ONE, no even the employees are wearing maks.
Still pissed me off, because my wife had to even ask about the fucking SKEEEEEERED RULES.

About a year ago I made a rare ferry ride and actually went upstairs for social interaction. Spotted two of my old timer pilot buds who were going all the way to Seattle to get their ticket punched. The old AME there would put them in a quiet, dark room and play meditative music to get their ticker slowed down. This was partly a result of the new 155 threshold.
They were spooked by our regular AME that I still go to who has his nurse Rachet do the deed. Not pleasant.
BTW one of those guys knew daddy. He was an original FedEx pilot and lived in Anchorage about the time daddy showed up as a young recruit.

The former vice president and 2020 presidential contender and his wife Jill Biden reported about $10 million in income in 2017 from a pair of S-corporations, CelticCapri and Giacoppa. The two entities were paid for the couple's book deals and speaking gigs.
The S-corps reported another $3.2 million in income in 2018.
While both S-corps generated a lot of income, they paid out modest salaries in comparison.
In 2017, the two companies paid the couple a combined $245,833 in wages. This increased to $500,000 in 2018.
That mean any amounts the Bidens received as a distribution wasn't subject to the 15.3% combined Social Security and Medicare tax.

The Fake News Media, just like Election time 2016, is bringing up my Taxes & all sorts of other nonsense with illegally obtained information & only bad intent. I paid many millions of dollars in taxes but was entitled, like everyone else, to depreciation & tax credits.....
.....Also, if you look at the extraordinary assets owned by me, which the Fake News hasn’t, I am extremely under leveraged - I have very little debt compared to the value of assets. Much of this information is already on file, but I have long said that I may release....
.....Financial Statements, from the time I announced I was going to run for President, showing all properties, assets and debts. It is a very IMPRESSIVE Statement, and also shows that I am the only President on record to give up my yearly $400,000 plus Presidential Salary!
Mark Levin slammed Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as a "self-righteous egomaniac" for endorsing former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris and said a self-proclaimed independent willing to support the Democratic ticket should help motivate conservatives to reelect President Trump.
The Rock announced he would support Biden on Sunday, marking the first time he's ever publicly thrown his weight behind a political candidate ...
What about the RNC Convention, August 2, 2000 @ First Union Center, Philadelphia. The Rock was the WWF champion at the time.
Half the country’s pundits think we’re living in a Tom Clancy novel. The other half thinks we’re living in a Margaret Atwood novel. The truth is we’re living in a Tom Wolfe novel.
Between them I'll take "show" for now and work on indictments when the legal system isn't in their back pocket like it clearly is now.
In the mean time everybody has to obey the law except them and their "mobs". Endless complaining about that fact is boring. In order to change that fact our side needs to work on the problem longer than 3 1/2 years.
Sure, results were promised in the spring, then the summer, now after the election, and WE are the problem for being "inpatient" and doubting if they are serious.
In the debate, if Trump's team believes Biden is wearing some kind of (invisible to the naked eye) hearing assistance -- receiving help from his corrupt commie :) team, surely there's a way to jam their signals.
Man, I'd love to see Biden jerk with pain from some kind of zapping if they are up to techy tricks. :)

I went over to check Adam Housley's Twitter page because he has received a lot of good information from sources he cultivated while he was a reporter.
Unfortunately, Napa and Sonoma Valleys are under evacuation orders due to massive fires and he is trying to help out by posting maps, videos, photos, etc. and tell people where they can go. Here's a link to his page if you want to scrol through and see the extent of the evacuation areas and fires:

I still think this is possibly domestic terrorism and would not be surprised to see "arson for hire" promulgated as both a distraction and an excuse to cancel the debate.

Back in a bit!

It's NEVER going back to normal. Not in our lifetimes. If the COMMIES will do that, what WON'T THEY DO?

SBW,
About a year ago I made a rare ferry ride and actually went upstairs for social interaction.

Joe Biden used this strategy to trim his tax bill. You can, too.
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/06/joe-biden-used-this-strategy-to-trim-his-tax-bill-you-can-too.html

"I don’t want a show. I want indictments"
Both would be nice.
