I'm behind.
Was worried, in catching up, to hear MM has been in hospital -- I hope this morning's news is better. I have something to post, so will post it, then go back and catch up. It's a thread reader by Roscoe Davis, and I was encouraged by parts of it. His synopsis of the players, good and bad, in the effort to destroy Trump is almost shocking, and I didn't think I could be shocked by the left, both here and globally.
Here's a bit of it: (I was really surprised that it wasn't Rogers who told Trump he was being spied upon.) Of course I don't know how much of this is true, but it all jibes with what we've read for years.
"Luckily Trump had retained close allies like @DevinNunes, who was the head of the HPSCI and though still a rookie, knew enough to keep informed, and pay attention to details, but being in congress limited what he could actually do other than shed light.
Flynn's small elite force was in place like his intelligence team of Ezra Cohen-Watnick, Derek Harvey, Michael Ellis, @RichHiggins_DC, and his commerce strategists like Peter Thiel, David Cattler, John Eisenberg, Kenneth Juster & Kevin Harrington
"Flynn was assembling a team of deputies to get the NSC back on track to do what it was originally intended, and not the political hackery the previous administration had turned it into, and this the NSC down to less than 50 possibly 25.
"Despite popular belief it was this small team, headed up by Ezra who sniffed out that Obama was spying on the Trump Campaign, and a female analyst who let Ezra know that Mike Rogers was going to make his pitch to be CIA Chief.
Ezra knew that would be disastrous, Rogers was career NSA and because it was the NSA that was the hub of all this spying. The NSA is the cesspool of the swamp, Snowden exposed just how bad it was in 2013."
I posted this ZH link on my FB page and noticed I had a simple typo. When I tried to edit the post and correct the typo I got a popup message from FB that said:
"You can't use this feature right now. To prevent any misuse, we temporarily restricted your account".

While I will intentionally not link to the New York Post, I want be clear that this story is eligible to be fact checked by Facebook's third-party fact checking partners. In the meantime, we are reducing its distribution on our platform.
For awhile, I was getting weird messages whenever I tried to access a Twitter page, about some sort of questionable activity on my part. I switched browsers and was able to access pages as usual. I can't remember whether the messages later disappeared from my first browser on their own, or whether I deleted all the browsing data (which I'm sure I must have done). I suspect that's unlikely to fix your FB problem, but it might be worth a try.
I spoke briefly with MM's son. She was found on the floor by her daughter and she could not wake her up. She then had a seizure. She is still in the hospital and they have ruled out that she had a stroke. They are putting her on some seizure meds which are making her very groggy/sleepy. They are still checking things out but feel one thing was she was dehydrated. Also- that time she thought she had an episode of amnesia may have been related.
He may call me back as we were interrupted (he had another call.) I will update with anything I hear from him.
I don't want to be a jinx by saying anything more than I'm wishin' and hopin' for a landslide, but I want all those smarmy, arrogant, libs and NeverTrumpers who believe they are the very pulse of America to find out, in an even more indisputable lesson than they got in 2016, that they are the chaff not the grain. Pardon the mixed metaphors.
When I see the support Trump is getting from the most unexpected places, and the walking away, and ordinary people working up the courage to speak out, I think how could Trump not win YUGEly? Are there really enough people on the left who hate Trump with a passion to cancel out folks on the right who hate everything Biden/Harris represent in a really visceral way?
I don't doubt Biden hopes to borrow the Obama charisma without realizing there's just not much there there anymore. I also find it hard to believe that Harris is helping him much where he needs it. I suspect she doesn't play well in the 'burbs. She's not exactly a soccer mom. I also don't think Pelosi is helping, at least in any remotely legal fashion, and even Schumer seems to be keeping a relatively low profile.
So I have to agree with you. I don't see anything that favors Biden but the polls, and the hatred of discreet enclaves like academic, feminist, Marxist quarters, and big businesses who are better at buying politicians than voters.
Praying for MM!
I am so pleased with ACB!
She really is brilliant and I can definitely see her as an asset to the SC.

That said, I do think Trump seems tired, and last night's rally didn't include any of his usual improvisations. It was pretty much word for word what we heard at the last rally. I know campaigning means staying on message and hitting the same marks time and again, but he usually manages a more spontaneous mien.
I'm sure he wants to demonstrate that he's hale and hearty and more than capable, but I think he could benefit from a little rest at Mar a Logo. Leaving the press to focus on Biden for a few days can't do anything but help the President. Some of the truly damning revelations coming out might benefit from a little more oxygen in the room too.
I understand that FB and Twitter are actively trying to censor the Biden/Ukraine story. I was just pointing out that the mere linking to the ZH article caused FB to put some kind of restriction on my FB account to the extent it would not allow me to correct a simple misspelling typo.
A few years ago, my mom got herself severely dehydrated. When we called her to check in and see if she wanted anything from the store, her speech was slurred and incoherent and we thought she was having a stroke and called 911. She ended up in the hospital 4 days to get her right again and she had no memory of that whole episode or the previous night.
I actually watched a short part of Trump's rally last night. He is hoarse from his bout with Covid as well as his incredibly exhausting schedule. He is the hardest working man in politics. It certainly could be. The diuretic reduces your total water volume, but that's not what supplies the antihypertensive effect. When I started taking them 30-odd years ago, I got into the habit of increasing my liquid intake some.
Coffee being diuretic is mostly a myth. For those taking diuretics for blood pressure, the caffeine may work against that some.

Agree. Particularly Althouse and McCardell. Plus all the NTers at NRO.
The Democrat Party is like the mafia -- if one of its soldiers goes down, they immediately find a no-show job for him in one of their many shell companies.
Yep. The Democrats are a crime syndicate masquerading as a political party.
“Dehydration can also cause an imbalance in your electrolytes and blood chemistry”
Yep. Diuretics started pushing my potassium levels too low, so got switched to a potassium-sparing diuretic. Potassium either too low or too high has unwanted cardiac effects.
compilers like Instapundit need content to keep the hits coming and as they say, sometimes even a blind dog finds a bone, so the NRO articles, I hope, have some value.

Again, as many have pointed out:
Are they acting like they're winning?
The poll question "who do you plan to vote for?" is literally the ONLY indicator that is positive for Biden.
The remaining indicators, many of which are supported by hard data, are ALL TRUMP. Even more than they were in 2016.
And if you want a list let me know.

"In re diuretics,"
It certainly could be. The diuretic reduces your total water volume, but that's not what supplies the antihypertensive effect. When I started taking them 30-odd years ago, I got into the habit of increasing my liquid intake some.
Coffee being diuretic is mostly a myth. For those taking diuretics for blood pressure, the caffeine may work against that some.
Posted by: Another Bob | October 14, 2020 at 01:45 PM
Dehydration can also cause an imbalance in your electrolytes and blood chemistry and other things that will make you quite ill.

I hope Nellie makes Bruce move to Russia, and they live in a tower block that loses electricity weekly and has graffiti scribbled all over the stairway walls, and fellow renters use the urine-stained stairway landings plus the elevators for latrines, and they have to use a porta-potty in their apartment because the building's plumber hates and is jealous of Americans.

I'm a longtime reader at Instapundit and while I like Reynolds, he has a history of amplifying some really shallow thinkers. Althouse is one, Megan McCardell, the entire staff at Reason and David Bernstein off the top of my head.
I'd include Ed Driscoll, but he's more like the kid from A Christmas Story who "likes Santa Claus".

Yep. Diuretics started pushing my potassium levels too low, so got switched to a potassium-sparing diuretic. Potassium either too low or too high has unwanted cardiac effects.

Back from the endoscopy, preliminary results are good.
Snipped a few polyps and noted a couple of non-Inflamed diverticula. Presuming no surprises from the path lab, pretty mundane.
Nurse was pleasant and engaging, so went smoothly and quickly.
