Wauwatosa, Jack. In Milwaukee County. BLM might note the NG is set up in Wauwatosa, and trash State Street and the County Courthouse where Chisholm works. Can mess up Barrett’sstupid trolley while they are at it.
Trump has CHYNA VYRUS antibodies, per WH physician.
According to TKAnon, Trump’s 4D plan was to super spread the virus throughout the administration to prove that they can still get business done despite the inconvenience of having flu-like sickness in the workplace.
“We have done a terrific job and I think the America people can now see, through our example, that this virus should not keep us locked down!”
There is a wait for the new ones, Extraneus, but Reverb has used listings. Several of the top players swear by the darned thing, but I’ve never even seen one in person.
Oh good, the Wauwatosa curfew is just in time for folks to catch the debate. I'm sure when Kamala comes out strong against the police and in favor of Justice for St. Fentanyl, Breonna, Jacob Blake and whoever this latest WI dude was, that will go down quite nicely.
I suspect that to be an Eddie van Halen, you have to live & breath your guitar to the exclusion of almost everything else -- something that seems true of many a genius in almost any field. He was probably hanging out in some iteration of a garage 24/7, just playing around. In several subsequent clips of his solo work, he really seemed to be enjoying himself. And when he went an unexpected direction, he'd look up at the audience with the cutest grin on his face. He looked soooo young in most of what I watched, which is not how I thought of him.
JMH, last night we got out my old spiral bound VH fan book, one of those things you used to be able to buy at record stores, full of huge photos and bios etc. It's actually a pretty cool piece of ephemera. The photos are hard to find now.
Anyway, there's a quote from Eddie about how he's an introvert and doesn't get along with most people and so he just hangs out by himself and plays his guitar.
His faces and wide open mouths and grins were the best.
Does anyone have a copy of the BLM manifesto page? I want to send it to my kids.
18+ hours straight thru drive from Seattle to OC yesterday. My gawd!
I could see the hills burnt along the 5 in both Oregon and Cali. bad, but not as bad as driving into main gate Yosemite a couple of years ago with the fire crews still putting our embers for 50 miles.
We live in a beautiful country. For 100 miles in the northern part of the San Joaquin Valley it was rice harvesting season. Man, that smell brings back memories. Silos every 2 miles or so all along the tracks, the Sacramento River flowing from the north. California is truly blessed by nature. The politicians have f'ed it beyond hope.
The U haul rental was $900 but if you want to reverse the trip, it's double that.
This video, prepared by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, provides a Critical Incident Review of the February 2, 2020 shooting incident:
California is truly blessed by nature. The politicians have f'ed it beyond hope.
It is because California is so blessed and beautiful that they have been able to abuse it like they have. It is so spectacular that people are willing to stay and take the abuse.
Never did make the mountains since the smoke was pretty thick.
--Dan Bongino diagnosed with lymphoma, after surgery to remove tumor in his neck.--
I figured either sarcoma or lymphoma. I have three friends who have had non Hodgkins lymphoma [of which there really are 57 varieties according to one of the 3 friends] and all three are apparently cured and doing well. One of them had a very large tumor swell up very quickly on her neck that was considerably bigger than Bonginos.
It is possible to catch it too late but it is usually found quicker than internal organ cancers because inevitably one or more lymph nodes balloons. And the treatment is often more tolerable than standard chemo as a lot of it is monoclonal antibody stuff like Rituxin. If you're gonna get cancer there are many, many worse ones to get.
Let me put it simply. If the GOP doesn't just RAM this nominee down these evil fuckers throats.
THEY ARE PUSSIES, and they are nuts.
One chance and it's RIGHT NOW.
Speaking of health stuff I've been watching that video asw linked a few days ago of Dr Malcolm Kendrick who sounds a lot like Anonomom [and others] with his belief cholesterol doesn't cause heart disease, carbs and insulin are bad, fat is good etc, etc.
Interesting stuff. He also has precisely the logical take on Covid; it's bad for sick geezers and not as bad as the flu for everyone else so let's protect the geezers and everyone else take off your masks quit isolating and lets get sick and immune together and get it over with.
Sounds like a very sensible guy. So I did a little investigation of him and came upon an article in something called rationalwiki that I have to quote.
They call him a conspiracy theorist and essentially a quack who cherry picks his data. They particularly ridicule his theory that LDL cholesterol has little to nothing to do with atherosclerosis by citing this footnote;
Low-density lipoproteins cause atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. 1. Evidence from genetic, epidemiologic, and clinical studies. A consensus statement from the European Atherosclerosis Society Consensus Panel
LOL
And he's the cherry picker, but a thing actually called the Atherosclerosis Society Consensus Panel miraculously comes to the consensus that everything they always say is in fact the consensus of truth. I suspect a Society dedicated to a cause and looking for a consensus is pretty likely to find one and it is exceedingly unlikely it will not be the one they already believed in and went looking for from the start.
My accent came up as Inland North, which I guess is upper MidWest. Who knew 2 hours in O'Hare could do so much? I lived in Norfolk, Newport, Charleston, and SoCal before age 9, then Alexandria VA until age 31, and NC (where my parents were from) since.
That Doc Kendrick guy reminded me of the Lancet chief who proclaimed that 50% of science is wrong. And that is based on actual meta studies that found at least 50% of scientific papers were irreplicable.
So, if half of the published studies that pass peer review and are presumed scientifically worthy are in fact wrong I have to wonder which science it is we're supposed to follow. With some new thing like this bug I'm guessing the number may be closer to 75-80%. Following a guy with a pocket full of fortune cookies or coins to flip makes at least as much sense as "following the science".
Were you suggesting that I was suggesting 4D chess, TK?
I wasn’t. For several days I have been telling friends and family how I think Trump could really use his quick recovery and his administration’s overall strength through “crisis” as proof that this is no worse than a bad flu season as far as the effect it should have on our lives.
’I wonder if they could tell a big difference in a blind test. I'm pretty sure I couldn't.’

In CA Prop 16 is the re-establishment of racism in state gov't contracts, university admissions and hiring. I posted this on my local NextDoor and waiting for the deluge of "why do you hate Black people" posts from white liberals.
Prop 16.
I'm reading the Proposition language.
Sentence 1 says the old Prop 209 prohibits the use of race and other personal characteristics by the California government for hiring, awarding contracts and university admission.
Sentence 2 describes various state and local government bodies.
Sentence 3 says we should repeal Prop 209.
Isn't this racism, straight up?
But above and beyond the morality of awarding contracts, job offers and admission to schools based on race, ethnicity, sex and so on ... how would this be implemented?
If you wanted to get a job in the DMV would you be encouraged to get genetic testing similar to 23andMe? Would the state issue laminated cards that display our racial makeup for us to carry around?
Who else is old enough to remember when South Africa's racial policies and apartheid was considered a bad thing?
I'm ready for the inevitable claim of systemic and systematic racism in society.
Our Prop16 only applies to CA state and local gov't entities.
Not private.
Not other states.
Not federal.
If you believe our state gov't is cheating black (and other) citizens, instead of amending our state constitution, you should be "un-electing" the officials of our one-party state who are oppressing all these people.
Another indicator I hadn't thought about until just now: the incredible proliferation of righty/sane/Trump supporting media since 2016.
RSBN increasing their presence, OANN, a new effort called FirstTV that just sprang up, American Greatness, The Epoch Times, the Daily Caller is now huge, Tucker etc.
Fox is shriveling aside from Tucker and declining due to left-wing inside influence.
These venues wouldn't be doing so well absent substantial financial and viewer support. AmSpec was on life support for awhile there and is now booming. National Review is a husk of its former self and The Weekly Standard is gone.

"[Barbara] Bush unexpectedly granted [Susan] Page entrée to her diaries, personal papers and letters that are embargoed until 2053" in her last 6 months of life. I don't remember the book making much of a splash last spring.
I do not understand why anyone still gives Andy McCarthy any credibility or respect at this point.
For him to act as though the unelected bureaucrats at DoJ, FBI, CIA or anywhere else in the federal government, will simply and automatically follow orders from the President, after 4 years of daily demonstrations that they won’t, and that they suffer no consequences for their failure to do their jobs, is a bad joke.

I read with interest TC's take on McConnell knowing he's playing a weak hand and thus the rush to confirm Barrett.
I wouldn't discount that entirely but, I think he's driven by two things:
1. Capture the seat and thus complete his plan of overturning the judiciary and sealing his own legacy.
2. Eliminate one of the prime factors motivating the left, the open seat which they hope to fill.
I think number 2 will depress turnout on the left and thus it's a good enough reason in it's own right, and probably the more important.
As to the polls, I think they are skewed and a part of the enemedia strategy of depressing the right's turn out.
I thought the same thing last time around and believe that was born out by the results.

You should laugh, because those are JOKES.
Huh?

These venues wouldn't be doing so well absent substantial financial and viewer support. AmSpec was on life support for awhile there and is now booming. National Review is a husk of its former self and The Weekly Standard is gone.
Forgot The Federalist too.
Posted by: Porchlight | October 07, 2020 at 08:16 PM
TK, I thought you were LOLing at that being a "conspiracy theory" rather than just a joke.
Posted by: Porchlight | October 07, 2020 at 08:17 PM
Oh! Haha! Sorry about the confusion, Porch.
❤️

Np TK, I jumped to conclusions so it was my error. ❤️

“BLM with the ARs tonight.”
And wearing badges? Impersonating police?

The mosquitoes are killer on the Porch porch tonight.
Who's going to watch LIVE as Mike Pence's laser eyes drill holes in Kamala's plexiglass shield?

Anyone who would wear a mask to see a Vice Presidential debate live is unsuitable to be anywhere near politics.

Great news for Columbus, Buckeye, but for whatever reason I erroneously thought they already had a taproom there.

If needed I can be in Wisconsin in less than 12 hours. I can carry guns over state lines and I don’t even need a ride from my mommy.

That the White House press assholes are even calling this petty middle school crap news is a joke.

"[Barbara] Bush unexpectedly granted [Susan] Page entrée to her diaries, personal papers and letters that are embargoed until 2053" in her last 6 months of life. I don't remember the book making much of a splash last spring.

Pin, it may take them 12 hours to walk from Milwaukee to Wauwatosa. ;)

JimSunnyvale,
Prop. 16 not only repeals 209, it codifies current practice.

Trump now winning all five cookie polls that I'm aware of. This is the Cincy cookie poll. Others: MN, PA, WI, NJ.

If Biden is able to cover up his criminality, and wins the election, what happens next? It could be a fast ending to the USA.

Not a dig. I have my own wheels, guns and a small legal defense fund.
Actually I’d like to see what would happen if I shot rioters with some arrows.

Right on, Pin. I will donate to your legal defense fund. Thank you.

I just read/skimmed NE Journal of Med's denouncement of Trump's COVID actions. No mention of Governors sending the sick to nursing homes causing a big chunk of the deaths.

The politicization of large swathes of these assholes diminishes the field. I'll believe what my PCP says and the rest can fuck off.
