The Hunter Biden thing won't change minds but here we go: a cybersecurity pro says the metadata confirms the authenticity of the emails.
The gist is that Gmail uses a "DKIM" protocol to authenticate emails and the Hunter email matches the e-signature of the sender. So the key email really is from Burisma.
However, my impression is that if someone hacked into, or otherwise gained access to the Burisma system, they could send out signed emails. Who among us has not had their email hacked, to the annoyance of everyone on our contact list?
Shenanigans in the Ukraine seem to be a theme to this story, so who knows?
From Wikipedia on DKIM:
As to the Hunter Biden thing changing minds, who ya gonna believe, me and Lyin' Ted Cruz, or our President?
Trump also continues to hone in on Hunter Biden in the closing days of the campaign, despite allies like Sen. Ted Cruz warning him that it’s not a winning final message. Trump even acknowledged as much in Florida. “I get a call from all the experts, right?” Trump roared to the crowd. “Guys that ran for president six, seven, eight times. Never got past the first round, but they’re calling me up, ‘Sir, you shouldn’t be speaking about Hunter. You shouldn’t be saying bad things about Biden because nobody cares.’ I disagree. Maybe that’s why I’m here and they’re not. But they say, ‘Talk about your economic success. Talk about 33.1 percent, the greatest in history.’ Now, look, if I do, I mean, how many times can I say it?”
I have not run for President six times. But any day now!
I've notice that in a lot of the communisty organizer's pro-Biden appearances, he's tried to affect a sort of pseudo-MLK accent.

One of my favorites. When I was a kid I hitched a lot, several times across the country. The song meant and means a lot to me. Standing in the rain and under underpasses to get out of the sun; been there, done that.
Busted flat in Baton Rouge, headin' for the trains
Feelin' nearly faded as my jeans
Bobby thumbed a diesel down just before it rained
Took us all the way to New Orleans
I took my harpoon out of my dirty red bandanna
And was blowin' sad while Bobby sang the blues
With them windshield wipers slappin' time and
Bobby clappin' hands we finally sang up every song
That driver knew
Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose
Nothin' ain't worth nothin' but it's free
Feelin' good was easy, Lord, when Bobby sang the blues
And buddy, that was good enough for me
Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee.
From the coalmines of Kentucky to the California sun
Bobby shared the secrets of my soul
Standin' right beside me, Lord, through everythin' I done
Every night she kept me from the cold
Then somewhere near Salinas, Lord, I let her slip away
Lookin' for the home I hope she'll find
And I'd trade all my tomorrows for a single yesterday
Holdin' Bobby's body next to mine
Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose
Nothin' left is all she left for me
Feelin' good was easy, Lord, when Bobby sang the blues
And buddy, that was good enough for me
Good enough for me and Bobby McGee

“Polls released now on the eve of the Election are predictive polls & no longer ‘snapshot in time’ polls.
If @JoeBiden leads by double digits, but @realDonaldTrump somehow ‘wins’ by a point or two, it won’t be the polls that are wrong — the fix will be in.“
“ This seems to be message going out to Dem operatives, including obviously pollsters. Purpose is to delegitimize what they anticipate as a (massive) Trump victory—and establish premise for violence, already normalized by press and DNC officials. This is the legacy of Barack Obama.”

Regarding CA, there could be a Dem scare.
Recall that 2016 was a weird year. PDJT was controversial and plenty of people wound up voting Egg McMuffin, the Libertarian (Gary Johnson?) or sitting home.
As I recall there were 2 Dems fighting it out for Senate and no Repub, which depressed turnout too.
Fast forward to 2020. PDJT is solid and heartily loved by the base. He'll get all the Repub votes this time. No Senate race to distract and depress Repubs. And quality of life in CA has become obviously worse:
endless economic shutdown
"distance" learning
smoke in the air
power outages
homeless camps that sprout and spread
businesses failing or moving out of state
Prop 16 "remove 'no race based decisions' by the state gov't" from the state constitution
Prop 15 Remove half of the famous Prop13 property tax protections
There are plenty of blind, out of touch Dems. But there are plenty of alarmed people too.
Even without this being a wave election, you could predict a MUCH better result for Repubs than 2016. With all the other stuff there's a chance of putting a big scare into them
Maybe that's a dream ... maybe the ginned-up Trump hatred has been successful. We'll see.

I used to hitchhike between Hyattsville and Laurel when I went to DeMatha and would have detention, almost always because of some other fuckhead in my class. It was too bad I lived so far away because otherwise I'd have gone out for the basketball team. I'd have never made it beyond the first cut but going through the drills Morgan Wootten set up my fundamentals would've been a lot better.
When I was going there everyone on the varsity, no matter how deep in the depth chart, got a kollidge scholarship. One day in the dorm I was watching a Virginia Tech game on some cheesy UHF station and I went "holy fuck, there's my classmate Wayne Lockett". Wayne was a good guy but his talent level wasn't off the charts. So you never know...

Yes, 2016 seemed uncertain for the Republican base, especially in CA.
But, for those Democrats who couldn't stomach Hilary there was Jill Stein--or even Gary Johnson. Those two had national recognition. This time, it's binary and Democrats don't have options. Will they settle for Old Joe?

Stupid dame in an SUV driving along with Biden's bus purposely straddles a lane and hits a Trump pickup.
Then posts pictures of her car claiming it was all the Trump guy's fault. Of course there are numerous videos of exactly what the dumb broad did, but still she and her creepy whiny cheerleaders expect others to ignore videoed reality and credit her lies.
Unreal. But all too common.

Another example of how warped progs are, so much so that they can't even see they're indicting themselves;
They post pictures of ISIS caravans of pickups with ISIS flags and terrorists in back and then juxtapose them to American pickups with American flags and no terrorists in the back or the front and claim they see no difference.
So to progs, the Stars and Stripes is equivalent to the flag of a murderous Islamic cult.
Good to know.

James, I feel your pain.
Look at Tuesday like a heart transplant.
The existing heart is by all accounts down to its last few beats. A new donor heart is rushed over and it will either work or it will not work.
If it does not work, the patient dies before the day ends. The story ends.
If it does work, the patient lives to see more days and to deal with whatever life throws at him. The story continues.
So the only branch of the tree which removes your uncertainty is to have the heart not work. The other branch leads to more branches and then to more branches.
Such is life.

To the discussion I had with Jimmy about final week polling, there is a story on Bongino about 90M votes already being cast...65% of all votes cast in 2016. While the remaining 35% plus new voters is nothing to sneeze at, it sure does take the bang out of the traditional Single Day Voting, last minute waves, October Surprises and so much more of what the races used to be.
Regardless of the outcome, this notion of an election season is going to change how candidates have to handle their marketing in the future. Unless 2020 is a one off.

I did see that, Robin. But the list looked somewhat generic to me and Cantor/McConnell would have been Majority Leaders at the time it was created. It looks like it could have been Joe's list, actually - top Dems in DC plus the top 2 Republicans.
