Call me a cockeyed optimist, but I find myself recalling stats from Trump rallies, which sometimes almost seem to include more Democrats than Republicans. Can you register as an Independent in Fla?
For myself, I don't even really try to read the tea leaves. I've always thought all the "historical" numbers people assert to be meaningful, rarely extend very far back, and don't include much in the way of identifiable cause & effect. Almost any of us could come up plausible-sounding reasons a stat like that could be significant or inconsequential, good news or bad.
It's all too much of a roller coaster for me, and at this point, we'll know the answer soon enough, or #two weeks.
I meant to add that your 3:01 was final result. Today is the first day of early voting in Florida. Those stats are from mail ins. Numbers are correct. You can interpret them any way you want.
Link to chart of Biden's CPC contacts. This has everyone from Obama and Kerry to Chinese guys. I linked it because if I post it it will be too small to read.
Thanks! Does a subpoena have to state a basis for essentially confiscating evidence, i.e. property? Or are such takings just supported by generic legalese?
The point I have been trying to make is that the DOJ has been involved with the Hunter Biden computer story from the outset. If the Feds engaged in a coverup to protect Biden then the DOJ was complicit as well.
"Can someone please clarify what the issue is with the lawyer asking (or not asking) for the laptop? How does that affect the validity of the story or the legality of what the computer repair guy did?"
My issue is this: Lots of people are saying Hunter's lawyer sent an email asking that the computer be returned; in fact, the email is not nearly that specific -- it thanks the owner for reviewing some records. The email is consistent with the belief that the lawyer at some earlier point asked for computer's return, but it doesn't prove it. I don't think people should overplay their hand by claiming the email proves more than it does.
Now is the time for Republicans to try get Democrats on the record on the question: If the kickback emails are genuine, would that disqualify Biden from being president?
How could anyone say it wouldn't? The only other reasonable answer is the non-answer dodge of refusing to answer a hypothetical question. But evasion like that looks bad.
I've received a few messages, including from one of my California daughters, asking if Teddy is ok because someone on a Shaker Heights NextDoor posted about a missing Airedale.

Airedales aren't a rare breed per se but you don't see a lot of them.
JMH:My question is why the FBI needed to subpoena the computer(s)/hard drive(s) when the repair shop owner was apparently trying to give it to them.
Look at the subpoena--they're trying to get ALL electronic communication records at his disposal.
Pedo porn?Apparently it's young girls on the tapes --they don't have their ages stamped on their foreheads. The issue is not that he's a pervert. The issue is that he seems to have done this in CHINA where the state sees and records it making his dad super prime blackmail target--as if the pelf they gave him were insufficient for this purpose.

If it isn't Hunter's computer then why would his lawyer be asking for records from the repair shop. I have zero doubts it's his computer for several other reasons.

I can't vouch for this site, which relies on Business Insider, among others, reports that "Mac Isaac stated he “did not see child pornography” on the laptop in question." I don't have time to run that statement to ground, or more honestly, much enthusiasm for doing so. There sure seem to be a lot of intersecting lines here, so I guess I'll just wait till someone trustworthy lays out an extended timeline. I think the porn stories seem pretty thinly sourced, if sourced they even are.
Cooney has released the emails because he claims that Hunter Biden improperly escaped accountability and responsibility for his role in the fraud for which seven other people have gone to prison.
Cooney must fear that Hunter is no longer going to be able to make good on whatever arrangement they had to reward him for keeping quiet in stir.
Not that I partake of the risky behavior Toobin did, but on principle I attach one of those slider-shutter things on all my laptops. Since I don’t use FaceTime etc, I’ll also use a paper punch to produce a circular piece of electrical tape and put it on the front camera lens.
I wish I had a way to conclusively, electrically cut the microphone.
Unfortunately, although 3/5 of my department tested negative, I just was told I had a positive result, so I'm in quarantine, and now my son and wife will have to get tested. Oh boy.
I'm sure you'll all be fine peter. And then you'll be immune and can go back to living. Dr Satinover says we all should get it now and be done with it as it's weakened and there are fine therapies. If you develop any symptoms at all, get to your doctor for appropriate care.
Thank you very much for the article and video by Tom Klingenstein at American Greatness that you posted yesterday. I will send it to my sister and two of my nieces. I hope they read it and understand its significance for their sakes and the sake of our country.
Here's the link for those who may not have seen it yesterday.
Somebody gave my wife an Amazon Echo Show with a camera in it. It sits on my dresser, basically serving as a clock that occasionally gets asked what the weather forecast is. I figure if anybody hacks in and sees me sans britches or something, they can blame Bezos.
"But if Mr. Ignatius is suggesting that Hunter Biden’s name served the business purpose of attracting investment, he’s asking readers to believe that energy investors are scouring the globe—not for reserves of natural gas that can be extracted at low cost—but for a partnership with the troubled son of a prominent politician who knows almost nothing about the energy business. Does even Mr. Ignatius believe this?
At least Mr. Ignatius is trying to wrestle with the issue of the Biden family business. Many media outlets prefer to ignore it. And suppressing unwelcome comments from Joe Biden’s opponent is also becoming a media habit. Corinne Weaver and Alec Schemmel at NewsBusters report:
Twitter and Facebook have censored the president’s social media accounts and the accounts belonging to his re-election campaign at least 65 times. In contrast, the companies have not censored former Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his campaign accounts. At all.
... The Media Research Center’s Techwatch department analyzed two years of social media posts from Trump, Biden, and their respective campaigns. The analysis did not include any ads from PACs or super PACs that had made ads in favor of either candidate. It also focused on social media posts, not paid advertisements, from the campaigns. These numbers were collected from between May 2018 to October 16, 2020."
peter, remember, you may not actually become infected.
The positive test is just for the presence of the virus. You can test positive and never become infected. Not just infected without symptoms - not infected at all.
Kayleigh McEnany never got sick and tested negative just a few days after her positive test. Same with Barron Trump.
Hang in there, all of you, do NOT worry, and keep in touch!
--Hunter Biden’s name served the business purpose of attracting investment--
Attracting investment? I think he has that backwards.
Hunter Biden was the investment. The return he was to provide was influence in the frickin White House.
I know I'll be fine, have a great immune system. Keep me laughing, you guys. I took the rapid result test, so not even sure if that is more accurate or less, but whatever.
Nothing much is happening. After all, "it's Russian disinformation and election meddling" has been an oligarch theme for over four years now.

Good afternoon! lyle, we need a poll...will Biden show up at Thursday's debate?

’So now the repair guy will be arrested for possession of kiddie porn?’
I laughed out loud when I read that, jimmyk, and then pondered the absurdity that such an event can’t be immediately dismissed.

Hubby kayaked earlier this morning and said every boat dock was flying a Trump flag.
I was at a big marina the other day and one boat was flying a Biden-Harris flag. One.

From Clarice's 4:15:

So let’s update the new rules: 1) can’t snort cocaine off of girls asses, and 2) can’t send dick pics.
My calendar is freeing up rapidly...

Unfortunately, although 3/5 of my department tested negative, I just was told I had a positive result, so I'm in quarantine, and now my son and wife will have to get tested. Oh boy.

What happened to Neo ?
Re Toobin; I don’t get it. Does a pervert actually get off exposing himself in a zoom call? How on earth does that work?

Trump team has asked that “foreign policy be added to the debate. I’m quite sure it won’t. But if it is, Biden won’t show,
A lot more coming out. How long do we have to vote Lyle? And what’s for dinner?

I'm sure you'll all be fine peter. And then you'll be immune and can go back to living. Dr Satinover says we all should get it now and be done with it as it's weakened and there are fine therapies. If you develop any symptoms at all, get to your doctor for appropriate care.

JMH,
Thank you very much for the article and video by Tom Klingenstein at American Greatness that you posted yesterday.

How is it that Zoom dick killed Jeffrey Toobin's career more than knocking up his co-worker's daughter and pressuring her to get an abortion

Dave, you can turn the camera off in Settings ... Device Options.
