Mini Mike Bloomberg, who made a fool of himself on the Dems debate stage when Elizabeth Warren & the others simply took him apart, is going “crazy” trying to buy his way back into the Liberal Democrat’s hearts. His Florida ads are lies. I am much better for SENIORS than Sleepy!
Boy, Cap'n, as a non-Apple person I cannot tell you how hard it was for me to get my tunes organized into a standard DOS file structure "Music>Artist>Album>Songs" so that I could just open a folder and let it play through. Since I do use iPads and iPods, some use of iTunes was unavoidable to get tunes onto those devices.
The biggest lesson I learned was to never, ever, under any circumstance EVER click on any button that looked or smelled like "Let Apple Organize Your Files"!
Having learned that the hard way with music, I quickly saw the same applied to how Apple likes to mess with the storage of pictures.
I’m currently researching “Plex”, for those with track addictions. Sonos has a track cap, and you need the Component module (with mandatory Alexa!) to run it through an A/V receiver. I just upgraded my Denon, reluctantly, but now am ecstatic because of the embedded tool sets. Will read the files directly from the network folder, in DOS path form. Will post the link to the unit. Can’t endorse it highly enough.
--If I feel groggy I just chug coffee and diet cokes, it's part of my comprehensive health planning.--
Heh.
Mine is intermittent fasting that I cap off every day around 2PM with a nice slug of Tillamook toffee, caramel, butter crunch, latte, somethin er other ice cream, thanks to Porch turning me onto it.
Alexa can be turned off on the base unit, as there is no mike present until you plug one in. The HEOS app was the clincher for me, after the fact. The AV unit itself is WiFi connected.
It has capabilities to handle 2 Active Subwoofers, not Passive (the 0.2 part of 7.2), which isn’t clearly laid out in the literature. And I have none, yet. I’m still at 5.0.
If I feel groggy I just chug coffee and diet cokes
Goes without saying, but the one-minute trip from the bedroom to the coffee pot is a bit less grueling when I haven't taken any sleep meds the night before.
And not to belabor the topic, but another thing about Benadryl is that about 10-15% of the time if I take one, I get a weird opposite effect, like I'm strung out on caffeine and can't sleep to save my life.
Sonos does some stuff via BT as well as Ethernet and WiFi so I would think there are ways to tie to phone or computer sourcing. I’ve been in touch with the techies on a couple of issues and they were very helpful.
After installing it, I’ve had a lot of fun with the old click bait adage, “I wonder what THIS does?”, but it’s always reversible and limited to the unit’s tool set, especially in the HEOS app. Signed up for more free streaming services that I had no idea existed, such as Deezer.

He's never shown the slightest inclination of exploitation or anything, and my mother is extremely wary and suspicious of that sort of thing. As far as I can tell he's a saint.
The only issue is now and then he disappears for a few weeks. He did so recently, and my mother related that prior to the disappearance, he had talked politics, and it turns out he's MAGA, and said things like "Barr is brilliant," etc. My mother didn't really engage, since as noted she hates Trump and everything associated with him. But she was sure this disappearance was because she didn't voice agreement with him.
I said, "Ma, just e-mail him again and say 'I hope everything's ok with you, haven't heard from you in a while,' etc. Sure enough, he wrote back with a warm note and said he'd call her this week.
Meanwhile my brother has decided that this guy is dangerous, and he warned my mother not to contact him again. This after he's been such a help for the last 20 years. Why is he dangerous? Because he said positive things about Barr, Trump, etc. Maybe Qanon, according to my brother. So if she's persuaded by my brother, she'll have no handyman, or have to find someone else and who knows if she can find someone as great as this guy has been.

I love Big Mike’s logic. We shouldn’t consider Ted Bundy, BTK, Ramirez, etc bad guys because they weren’t killing people most of their waking hours. Got it. PFFFTTTT...
Here's the link to today's Dilley SHow. He has a LOT of examples of media meltdown, including the MSNBC gal calling Trump standing on the balcony saluting Marine One ass it leaves his "Mussolini moment"! Honest to God!
The NFL has been nagging coaching staffs about not having PPE and fining personnel for non-compliance. The reportedly had a conference call about it over the weekend, so last night at one point Bill Belichick pulled down his mask to reveal... another mask, just like Capt. Rex Kramer (Robert Stack) in Airplane! with his multiple pairs of shades.
This is the guy who bristled about being forced to wear the gear of whatever Chinese-made brand the league was partnering with to the point where he'd show up with the neck ripped open and the sleeves torn off, so the mask-on-mask thing is probably another FU to the league.
I'm not caught up either, but the Insty story you pointed to last night iced my little link cake. It's sourced to NBC, which is considered reliable on the left. LOL
Several of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, including Chairman Mark Milley, have moved to quarantine after learning that they were likely exposed to the coronavirus in recent days.
Admiral Charles Ray, vice commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. Ray experienced symptoms over the weekend, and attended multiple meetings with members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in recent days, CNN reported.

LOL

It's hard to dispute Schweikart's assumptions on polling when you read something like this:

Several of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, including Chairman Mark Milley, have moved to quarantine after learning that they were likely exposed to the coronavirus in recent days.
Admiral Charles Ray, vice commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. Ray experienced symptoms over the weekend, and attended multiple meetings with members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in recent days, CNN reported.

Lyle, I go "stag" every time (since Caro abandoned me for her husband). It's very fun!
Posted by: Jane | October 06, 2020 at 02:12 PM
Neo,
Shouldn't CNN keep their yap shut about the Joint Chiefs being sick?
Posted by: MissMarple2 | October 06, 2020 at 02:15 PM
I have an idea for "Empty Chair DAY".
PERHAPS we need to all put out signs - or at least post it on Facebook and Twitter that says:
BIDEN IS A RACIST.
First we need to accumulate the zillions of racist remarks he's made so we can post them with our declaration. Over and over.
Any thoughts?

I might well be permanently stag if I went...🤔

Did anyone get to see that absolute “Joke” of a Town Hall interview that Joe Biden did with Concast @NBCNews , hosted by Lester Holt? What a disgrace to our Country that FREE public airwaves can be used that way. All SOFTBALLS. A big FIX. Time should be paid by the corrupt DNC!
Posted by: MissMarple2 | October 06, 2020 at 02:19 PM
LOL Lyle - that's a bit different. Maybe you should ask for it for Christmas!

Dave, I have no listening device things at all, in the car I listen to the radio and at home I play records. I do cheat and order something up from Alexa once in a while (though even the top-tier Amazon universe of songs is missing so much that it's not very useful).
