Let's hope this is just a sensible precaution. I've read there is a Presidential Suite at Walter Reed used exclusively by, believe it or not, the POTUS.
Trump is taking a Regeneron antibody cocktail drug that is still in trials. FDA has approved compassionate use for other patients (so they company says) and now for Trump.
Their Sept 29 upbeat press release with preliminary results is here.
Eli Lilly also has an antibody cocktail which worked well, so this medical decision made lots of sense. There results are also more comprehensible, as presented here:
Eli Lilly reports this morning interim results from a placebo-controlled trial of one such compound, cloned in quantity from an antibody captured from the blood of a patient who recovered from COVID-19. In June, the company began a trial delivering either placebo or one of three doses of the antibody, called LY-CoV555, to 452 patients. These were not gravely ill people, but patients with mild or moderate symptoms who had tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 within the past 3 days and had not been hospitalized.
Five of 302 patients who received the drug ended up being hospitalized—1.7%. But nine of the 150 placebo patients ended up in the hospital—6%—meaning there was a 72% reduced risk of being hospitalized for patients who received the antibody versus those who received a placebo. The drug produced no serious side effects, the company reports.
So - among people with mild to moderate symptoms (like Trump, so far) 94% on placebo avoid serious illness, versus 98.3% of those who got the Eli Lilly treatment. Great odds versus even better odds, in other words, although that is across a range of ages and pre-existing conditions.

Lovely prose :) :)

cathyf,
I have psoriasis on both shins, and have had it for about 30 years. I used to keep it under control by lying in the sun at the pool all summer and getting a deep tan. I would rub Eucerin into the areas starting in the fall, and more heavily after Christmas, as it would start to flare up since I didn't have any real sun exposure.
As soon as the pool opened at the end of May, I would get myself into the sun and it would go away until late fall.
Alas, now no pool and the backyard here is a little unfriendly for sunning. And consequently, my psoriasis remains year-round.

The idea of fewrreting "the source" of any particular individual's COVID infection seems absurd from the get-go. and I personally believe that the whole idea of contact tracing is being pushed by the tech sector & the left for their own future purposes. Never let a crisis go to waste!
I went to the grocery store a couple of days ago. So did a gazillion others. In order to do any truly accurate tracing, everyone would have to wear a device that registered the devices of anyone and everyone else who came within range. Just imagine how that would be accomplished. The same people who are wild about this idea are probably the same people who object to voter ID. Congnitive dissonance? What's that?

cathyf,
No, WOW, I had missed reading about your Fifth Disease. Awful, awful, awful. And, yes, I agree with you, six months of inflammation did trigger your autoimmune diseases.
I also missed reading much about Fifth Disease (back in the day) because we moved to London, England about a year after our children caught it. I never met another family that mentioned it.
I had never heard of Fifth Disease until our two children caught it. Of course, back then, at bridge club all of us mothers talked about this virus the children were catching but that was about it. To tell you the truth, I can't even remember if I knew it was a virus. We probably talked about the rash and fever. Since it was so long ago when our children had it, I've wondered if the medical community knew that much about it at that time. In fact, until you just told me, I didn't know adults caught it.
Think I'm going to research the virus right now. For some 'dumb' reason, when our pediatrician said what he did, I always just thought it was a new (novel?) :) thing that kids were catching that broke them out and he really hadn't ever seen or known about it before.
I am sorry to hear about your enthesitis (and other ailments). Painful. I've had bursitis in my shoulder in my 20s and have had arthritis for years, but nothing like you've suffered.
The body is an astounding, complex piece of machinery. (Scary, too.)

Everyone from Tucker Carlson to Dave Chapelle will tell you that people are "divided" by class, not race. Proud Boys originated, and still are AFAIK, as a group of unrepentant males with no distinctions re: race or class. John Roberts might know better, though.

What I was trying to say is that with virtually every other infectious disease, kids are major vectors of infection because schools and daycares put them in close contact with a large number of other students and adults that is constantly rotating throughout the day. So everything from the common cold to flu to throwup viruses to meningitis to mono will run through a school like wildfire. Sometimes, with things like measles, Spanish flu, etc, the kids are at great danger from the disease. Other things, like Fifth Disease, they are rarely in danger themselves, but they are a significant danger to adults.
This coronavirus is just weird in that kids are not very susceptible to getting it, and when they do get it they only rarely transmit it. Every piece of pandemic planning and every tool we have to mitigate the spread of an infectious disease is based on experience, and all of our experience is that kids are walking talking petri dishes spreading infection with great efficiency wherever they go.
Our experience with all of those other infectious things is that we can successfully stop an outbreak by closing down schools and isolating kids from each other for a couple of days -- a minor sacrifice with a big payoff. The crime against our youth worldwide is that we have known since the inadvertent controlled experiment of the Diamond Princess that closing down schools and otherwise limiting contact among children and between children and adults that all of those "common sense always reliable" mitigation strategies that really do work with all of those OTHER viruses don't do any good with kids and THIS virus.
Back in March when I first read about the wonderful civic-minded local Ys throughout the country setting up special daycares for the children of essential workers after the schools all closed, I was absolutely APPALLED. If this virus had been like all of those other viruses that we have all the experience with, then essential worker doctors and nurses and respiratory therapists and bus drivers and grocery clerks would have brought the virus home, infected their kids, and then their kids would go to the daycare and infect the children of the nursing home workers who would take it into the nursing homes and kill all the old people. If those kids had been vectors of infection, then sending infected patients back to nursing homes wouldn't have freaking mattered! Because the daycare kids would have already spread covid into into all of the nursing homes before the sick patients ever got transferred in!
The crime of the whole "sacrificing the kids for the good of the old people" is that shutting down the schools didn't do the old people any good!
When the daycares started up in March I was screaming about how dangerous they were. Now that we all know better, I watched UNC evict all of those students and force them to disperse around the country with the stated "reason" of oooo they might be infectious! and am now screaming that they are f***ing idiots and they damn well better hope and pray that "infectious college students" is a f***ing hoax!
Ok, I was trying to shorten up what was already a too-long post... :-)Posted by: cathyf | October 03, 2020 at 11:11 PM

Thanks cathy.
I should have figured that out on my own, and as usual your logic is impeccable.

She's actually Ida 'Ho.
Remember, the Vatican is the world's oldest continuous bureaucracy.
