People spread out, a LOT of Trump flags, banners, US flags. Hard to judge--low end I'd say 500 people but it might easily have been as many as 1,000. About 20 Antifa showed up. We had a squad of Proud Boys but also dozens of cops. Maybe 10 or 12 horse police, 20 bike police, many, many on foot. Also a group of 4 or 5 on top of the Capitol Bldg acting as spotters.
Antifa made noise but police formed a cordon.
We had a great sound system, a stage and speakers. After a while there was noise from the back. I looked, but I could see our flags and I thought "Well, if our flags are THAT far back, any counter protest is not close at all. But eventually I went to look. There were the 20 Antifa, a line of police and plenty of our guys staring them down. They had an air horn but by far the noise was our guys chanting "Four More Years".
The crowd was mixed White and Asian (Vietnamese and Chinese, I met at least 4 who were from the mainland. One of the speakers was from the mainland and they warned of the dangers that we are in if we don't defend our freedom). There was a sprinkling of Black Americans, including one speaker. I did not see any Indians.
We had a line of cars circling the large block around the Capitol honking for about an hour. And a small troupe of horses with riders carrying flags and banners.
There were so few Antifa, enough police, Proud Boys and grim-faced men that it felt quite safe, not like the DC event where I guess there was a dose of violence.
