Buffy, she told me tons, SHE was DRAMATIC. I've been there many many time, as my Mom was the only ex-pat. The only cousins I've ever known are in EDINBURGH, GLASGOW, and *****Perth.
My Auntie Kathleen and Uncle Louis owned a 3 bedroom flat on the Royal Mile just a hundred yards from the CASTLE GATE. Mom died 10 years ago February. I took my son to EDINBURGH directly after Mom died.
Just catching up. Watched the CONzaa video featuring HuffMama Mala talking about CONzaa principles, and her favorite "Be and Do".
The jokes write themselves. Next we'll here about when Mommy and Daddy took her the first time to see " The Lion King." Maybe she'll talk about the first time Willie took her....
Buffy, I told a customer named ROSE, about ROSE ST, just yesterday. I explained PRINCES ST, and the GARDENS, and I told her that ROSE ST, is where the DRINKING GETS DONE.
FILTHY MacNASTIES et al. I would love to meet you on ROSE ST.
The Braves left Milwaukee in 65. I lived in Scotland then.
I have 2 baseballs signed by Warren Spahn, and I know the EXACT HOUSE he lived in in WAUWATOSA.
It had a giant S on the outside of the chimney.
STILL DOES.
Warren Spahn a south paw, had 363 wins. He also had 363 base hits.
Speaking of which, any yellow loon reports? He's usually moping about not having any friends at this time of the year, implying nobody measures up to his standards rather than nobody sane wants to associate with him.
Maybe his poor children got him a new Devin Nunes pincushion.
Jack, I know that you went to CINCINNATI, and if I'm correct you played football. Crosley Field must have been fantastic. When Milwaukee County Stadium was imploded, me and my BF, had taken HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of digital photos, to create a comple MOSAIC of OUR baseball boy hood. I would have loved to see the old ballparks of lore.
"As a war correspondent, most telling is that more than 36 hours after the attack, relatively few people on any side have openly condemned the attack. This lack of condemnation provides a clue to our 2021."
I think that mental case has had more purges than Stalin and Mao (Yerrow Roon) combined. I like the shots he takes at Sidney Powell, as if he and the worthless ambulance chaser he needed against a jailhouse wannabe, could go toe to toe with a real attorney.
Like Peter and Gus I have decided to keep quiet unless I have something interesting to say. (So you may never hear from me again!)
I did think it quite rude that some commenters on “Clarice’s Pieces” felt the need to judge her decision on the vaccine (you will need to read the article if you don’t know what I am referring to). It’s not their place to judge, and I simply think they should give Clarice a break. It’s a personal decision.
Other than that I still have no clue what is going on, as life becomes stranger and stranger. Most neighbors are still speaking to us in spite of our Trump signs! And I still don’t like what’s going on 😳.
I looked through a couple pages of Clarice's comments and couldn't find any taking her to task on the vaccine. If I might take an inappropriately educated guess I'd imagine that they were stating an effective vaccination program requires 100% participation for it to be effective. That would be true in something really serious like polio or smallpox, which is not what this is no matter what Fauci blathers about. Yes, TK and peter got it for whatever reasons, probably physiological susceptibility, and recovered like from a serious case of the flu, more or less. I don't mean to minimize their experiences but it wasn't like having polio.
Well, all are entitled to their opinion, but some comments are better left unsaid, IMO. I just wanted Clarice to know. (And I mean no offense, Gus!)
I’m lucky not to be in a position where I have to argue about it. Just with my daughters, like RSE and MissM.
For those interested, youngest’s first clinical post is at Brigham and Women’s on the surgical floor. I’m excited for her. I hope the jerk gov opens up surgery again, and she can experience some real-world work. I think she starts in late January.
CH, I’m probs reading more into it. It’s best I skip comments, because they tend to bother me. It was just a few along the lines of, “I would never do that!” And yes, my guess is she can handle it. “I was trying to be nice!”
JamesD, the phonies need to buy their own damn books! We added two of yours to our shelves on Christmas day. In spite of the phonies, that guy had a great business idea.
James D, I was amused/impressed a few weeks ago when I saw some medical expert being interviewed on Newsmax or OAN--I forget which--and I realized that his requisite Zoom bookshelves were actually his huge CD collection.

Maybe Netflix is negotiating a reboot of Jericho and the RV and Box truck are promotional gimmicks.

Gus, how magical to have cousins to hang out with in Scotland. I hope you pass on her stories in a dramatic fashion.
Next time you go to Edinburgh, I'll meet you somewhere on Rose Street. I'm a pathetic drinker these days, but I still love the vibe in real pubs.

As a kid, I watched Joe Nuxhall, at Crosley Field, strike out 4 batters in the same inning. I think Big Klu may have homered in that game.
Posted by: Jim Eagle | December 27, 2020 at 04:04 PM
Jack, JOE NUXHALL played in MLB at 15. UNBELIEVABLE.
Posted by: GUS | December 27, 2020 at 04:07 PM
Rich. Sorry I did not meet with you today. I need at least two days notice for a meet.
Posted by: Davod | December 27, 2020 at 04:08 PM
Yeah, GUS, he did but I wasn't at that game:)
I also saw Warren Spahn at Crosley Field when he was with Milwaukee Braves:) Remember them?

Thanks for the link. I, too, posted it on FB.

Must have determined the truck was clear--two guys walked halfway to the truck and helped the guy out of his bomb suit.
