Melinda,

Interesting thread posted yesterday, about Hunter Biden, bribes and New York law firms. Includes documents and emails.

https://twitter.com/BluntForceTrut1/status/1342162396782194690

Wrapped thread:
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1342162369636683780.html

The thread begins:

" Patrick Ho Chi-ping, the Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of the CEFC and the former Hong Kong Home Secretary, was a senior Biden partner in CEFC. In return for the $10 million annual payment to the Bidens,
CEFC relied on them to open doors to various power brokers in the US and worldwide. The Bidens acted as the ultimate character/business references and indeed introduced CEFC management to organizations like the UN where Ho ended up sprinkling tons of bribe pixy powder. "

While Iggy's 12:07am makes a strong case against Snowden, this is disturbingly weak:

Further undermining his claims about concerns regarding American civil liberties, some of the programs he compromised were considered traditional spycraft that did not run afoul of fourth amendment protections against illegal search and seizure.(my emphasis)

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of the intelligence operation. "Yeah, sure we have a lot of illegal programs here, but some of them are legit, so leave us alone."

jimmyk,

Yeah. I don't know where to stand on Snowden. My initial and longer term take is that he did significant damage to legitimate intelligence gathering.

If the NSA was gathering domestic intelligence illegally I thought it was untargeted. Like they grabbed up stuff they wouldn't look at without a good reason. You and I would be the equivalent of pocket lint to them.

Why would they look at us in depth without a need to do so? They'd need a huge cohort of people to do that. I assumed that whatever, if anything, they gathered on me, was essentially useless to them unless they had a clue to point them at me.

That's a little different from what the FBI does in targeting specific people for no valid reason as we have seen in Spygate.

And if the NSA is evil for collecting data about you that they can analyze, if they choose to, what does that say about high-tech that does collect similar data, analyzes it and sells it to others?

hoyden

Don't eat the chicken salad NSA brings to the picnic. Most of it is healthy.

I took that cryptic comment to be a reference to corker's iran crap where it didn't have to meet the treaty approval % set up by our now increasingly defunct constitution.

Which is what soros had in mind. Nothing would be read as historically intended and we would transition to the Process Theory of the Law where it compels aligning to stated goals for the future. That would fit with the cybernetic template.

The author could have been more careful as Quigley's name is not spelled like the famous TV host but has two ' rr's and ll's'--Carroll.

When I first came across the 1973 Ford and Rockefeller-financed WOMP--World Order Models Project one of its primary architects--Warren Wagar wrote about how Wells' Open Revolution was his favorite book. I would later follow the WOMP meetings to the USSR in 1987 just before the collapse where Margaret Mead and Gregory Bateson's daughter, Mary Catherine, seemed to be a driving presence.

Most of the 'world government' aspirations are now rolled into ISSS--Intl Systems Science Society--and how Soft Law can be made to work. TPTB clearly regard xiden and the whore as more amenable to this agenda than trump.

Lots of aspirations for all of us over the next decade that have been percolating in earnest since about 1962.

Both things may (are very likely to) be true: Snowden damaged some legit operations, and he disrupted and exposed some illegal stuff. That piece Iggy links suggests he could have done the latter without the former, given all the whistleblower protections. But when you see what’s been happening to people like Flynn the last few years you wonder

I've been reading the comments from this essay:
https://www.theamericanconservative.com/dreher/no-families-no-children-no-future-lgbt-30-percent-carle-c-zimmerman/

linked on Instapundit.

Yesterday, we watched Four Christmases and it was a surprising argument for having kids and being responsible adults. Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon starred, and while it was a little slapsticky and silly, the message was surprisingly conservative.

Buckeye

Does anyone have a good idea what the target was in Nashville?

Another Bob

My problem with Snowden is a simple.

Even assuming good faith, Snowden was in no position to know what was legal and what wasn’t, what was important to keep quiet and what wasn’t. He just applied Ed Snowden’s ill-informed morality and forced the rest of us to live with the consequences of his ego.

And I see no reason to presume good faith when he ran to China with his info and is sheltered by Russia.

Another Bob

Buckeye, other than an AT&T switch, nothing I’ve heard seems interesting.

The IRA used to regularly bomb the Europa hotel in Belfast because that’s where all the world media covering The Troubles stayed. They never wanted to kill anybody, just wanted the attention.

Maybe it was simple publicity? But for who/what?

Good Morning! We went to brunch at a friend's yesterday. We were a small group of eight, good food and good people. When we drove into their community, I said to hubby, slow down! Crossing the street was a wild pig family! I counted ten little piggies as they scurried to the wooded area. So cute! We told our hosts and they told us that the pigs have been so destructive to the landscaping in the community. So much land is being developed in this area that the critters are relocating.

Christmas was sunny and cold and I did a little matchmaking between neighbours before cooking a lot of side dishes for the main event which was an 8 pound leg of lamb. The lamb did not taste nice! We had a leg of lamb last month from that same butcher that was gorgeous, so I'm not sure why this time the flavour was bland bordering on unpleasant.

Today it's gentle rain with lots of cloud cover, so 9 am looks like 3 pm, with a high of 50F.

The UK is socialised medicine central and over the years I can say I've never met a doctor I trusted nor had a test I didn't confirm with a private doctor. Thank goodness, the things I've had wrong were solved easily, usually by a search on the internet, then in to a local pharmacy for a good old chat with the head pharmacist there.

When I first met my husband, he, like most Brits, used the NHS for everything and he had a bad knee. He came back from his visit with a prescription for antibiotics. I ripped that up, set up another visit, and I went along wearing my pin-striped Jaeger suit with Osprey briefcase and American yellow pad. I was introduced briefly, just enough for my accent to register, and the guy proceeded to do an acceptable job and type physiotherapy appointments into his computer. At the follow up visit the doctor said "so how's your attorney?".

Pre-2040,

Harley Street is a scam these days. I had a private doctor who worked from his home on Addison Road, close to Jimmy Page!, for ages until we moved to the country. NHS is free at delivery and I think that is why doctors are so bad, they get paid the same whether they're paying attention or not.

Jj532aa

We never used National Health when we lived in the UK. Private doctors. Private hospitals, always. For one reason especially at first, we didn't feel we were entitled to use their system. We'd never paid into it. We had insurance. Didn't seem right. Then later, of course, there were other reasons.

Also, I'd always been against socialized medicine (socialized anything) and one of my main research papers in college was why I didn't believe in it. Guess I was born conservative. :)

Jj, most UK private medical insurance requires you to first check in with the NHS, then, if the wait is more than 10 months say, the private insurance will kick in.

I don't find private doctor fees that bad, equivalent to a hair appointment in Mayfair or at the worst, a weekend in Dublin.

2040, soup is a great idea. Couple of tins of tomatoes, boil it all up, could solve my problem.

Threadkiller
SUPREME COWARDICE: HOW THE SCOTUS JUSTICES HIDE BEHIND CLERKS

Earlier today I posted about my Election Day SCOTUS case having been denied filing by a clerk making a substantive decision as if he were a Justice of the Court. I prepared an Emergency Application to Justice Alito asking him to stay the ruling of the clerk, and I spoke to a legal foundation that offered to represent me in this matter.

After doing the work, I realized that there is no way these clerks are making substantive judicial rulings on their own. Furthermore, since I served process, the Attorney General of Arizona mentioned my case in their Amicus Motion in the Texas case, which means the Justices knew about my filing.

Therefore, the clerk who denied to docket my case must have been taking orders from the Justices. They don’t want to officially recognize the fact that I picked their lock and found a true legal manner to challenge the election. I had standing, and the Court has jurisdiction, but they don’t want to look the case square in the eyes, because my case would force them to void the election in seven States.

So the Justices put these clerks out there and in a very cowardly manner the Justices of the Supreme Court expose their clerks by forcing them to make substantive decisions of law, which is actually an ethical violation.

If a clerk signs their name to a document that pertains to make a substantive decision of judicial interpretation, that clerk is usurping authority in violation of law. And the Justices who feed these clerks to the wolves are simply cowards.

I do not have a problem with any of the clerks at the United States Supreme Court. I have a huge problem with the Justices. This is the second time I have experienced this tragic phenomenon. I don’t blame the clerks. They are just taking orders.

There is no law in America now. The rot came from the top down, and it will surely rend this nation into factions. Invasion will follow. You can blame the United States Supreme Court for all of it. The Court is not a bastion of justice. The Court is a political animal. And it has failed us.

I don’t plan on posting to this blog again anytime soon.

One thing of many that seems extremely fishy about the Nashville bombing. The bomb went off at 6:30am yet cellular service to AT&T customers, of which I am, didn’t get cut off until around noon.
