Truly awful that this investigation into Hunter’s illegal activities was covered up all during impeachment.
Hunter should have been brought before a congressional committee during or before impeachment.
No wonder there wasn’t a big fight about witnesses.
Once Schumer was told Hunter would be called he backed off.
Friends in the FBI tipped Schumer about the Hunter investigation.

The 2020 pandemic showed what it takes to sway many Americans to accept absolute power: merely the endless recitation of the phrase “science and data.” It didn’t matter that the science continually changed or that the data was often worse than useless. Instead, people who cheered any policy portrayed as based on “science and data” proved that they were part of the intellectual elite – even if that meant simply having a B.S. degree in sociology from a fourth-tier college that has not rejected any student who applied for admission since the Reagan era.

Rse: i saw your post about OUSD. only ZuckDuck would inspire creation of a "Manhood Dept" in a predominately Black school where 75% of the Black students are malnourished, or targets of B on B violence, or witnesses to high sibling mortality rates and/ or high sibling morbidity rates...and other trauma inspired stressors ( of course, all of their own fault since "like even when their ancestors were living in Afferca" / sarc).

The " stand and deliver" method has been refried and retried by white bodied liberal progs like Zuckbucks. He's out of ideas but not cash ( yet).

Taking cues fr a different school of thought based on somatic treatment practices (van der Kolk's "Body Keeps the Score" - a pioneer). An especially poignant work you might have read is Resmaa Menakem's "My Grandmother's Hands."

Van der Kolk is free of references or views on the politics of psychiatry. Menakem wears his social justice badge while delivering non-partisan renditions of van der Kolk's treatment modalities and theory.

Bothe make the OUSD Manhood Dept seem like a " Blackish" sitcom plot ( the vapid ABC tv show).

My cynicism knows no bounds.

After 15 years of medical retirement, then re-entering workforce after 14 years, i'm enjoying the current arrangement of getting paid regularly while working whenever i want.

Several of my 65 year old friends who rode the real estate and dot bomb waves to early retirement ran smack dab into the Clinton-Frank Implosion of 2008. They're riding a similar train as mine. We've got pretty solid backstops and we have the clarity to work at something relevant, that we love, and the cheddar keeps rolling in.

This was never the path i've envisioned for myself, especially given the last six months of economic carnage.

The Georgia signature audit is a scam within a scam. First off, there wasn’t much fraud, if any, in Cobb county so a signature audit isn’t expected to chance a significant number of vote totals. Secondly, once again GA isn’t allowing GOP poll watchers to monitor the signature audit.

Tom R

From the 3:11

The attack targeted the contractor's unclassified network.

Among the stolen data were plans for a supersonic anti-ship missile that was planned to be on U.S. submarines by 2020.

Not enough information in the article to know for certain but enough to know something is fishy about this.

Defense contractors like Boeing, Lockheed etc have classified and unclassified networks. The classified networks are usually connected to the DOD's SIPRnet while the unclassified networks are connected to the NIPRnet. Plans for an anti-ship missile were almost certainly classified at the SECRET level at a minimum. If the classified plans were on the unclassified network then that in and of itself was a major security violation.

If the plans were not classified and thus authorized for storage on an unclassified network, then by default whatever plans got stolen were not performance specs, technical drawings, etc. In that case it sounds like the Fake News may be intentionally blowing the severity of this breach out of proportion.

Soylent Red

The 2020 pandemic showed what it takes to sway many Americans to accept absolute power: merely the endless recitation of the phrase “science and data.”

Oh I think this may be oveerstated some.

Somewhere in the vicinity of one quarter to one third of Americans harbored a pathological antipathy toward Trump. The game was afoot when Fauci disagreed publically with Trump. Now Trump was the face of the irresponsible mouthbreathers who hate teh sciency! These people are the shock troop Karens and snitch bastards who are not only invested by fear as a virtue signal, but also do-what-you're-told as an anti-Trump badge. Their position is weakened with Biden in office.

(ASIDE: I submit that they should be reminded daily, if not more often, how irresponsible they are based on the science, when they start to waver because OrangeManBad is no longer around to be their foil.)

The virtue signalling shitbags intimidate another number X, who just want to be left alone and not be berated on social media or at the Costco by zealots. They may or may not believe the party line, and many are probably very skeptical, but it's easier to comply and go along to get along.

Combine that number with the group of Americans who generally don't pay attention to the world, and lack the long-term memory and critical reasoning skills to spot the bullshit in real time. Governor says stay home? OK. He must know something I don't. All the scientists are saying it after all. Those people are slowly coming around, and are probably persuadable. They will be the ones that get angry, but forget about it the next time some "crisis" happens.

I will not comply. Period. As far as I am concerned, Biden and Harris are usurpers, illegal, crooks, and communists. If they manage to finagle their way in, I will totally ignore them. If it comes to a civil war, I will make sandwiches for the militia.

When I have to wear one of those damn masks, I only do so because I now depend on my daughter to drive me places or it's a small business that has a sign posted (and within this county, mask compliance is demanded). I don't want THEM fined. Many are teetering on the edge.

As far as I am concerned, Trudeau has declared war on the US, and they can seal the Canadian border. (Dominion is headquartered in Toronto.) Given the antipathy for Trudeau that I have seen from Canadians on Twitter, they would like this information made public so that he can be removed from office - especially the voters in the western territories.

Plans for an anti-ship missile were almost certainly classified at the SECRET level at a minimum. If the classified plans were on the unclassified network then that in and of itself was a major security violation.

This system may be classified, but there may be nuances here.

At least in Army Acquisition, almost all systems start out as unclassified. Most of the requirements, and how the requirements will be met, are kept on unclassified networks until well into the acquisition process, sometimes including detailed specifications. Public contract awards are splashed up on government acquisition websites, open to the public. Then critical research projects are splashed up on corporate websites to explain to current and potential investors how Corporation X is getting in on that good gubmint money.

Couple that with the DoD R&D community interfacing with research universities for technical assistance and directed research. College PhDs are fairly notorious for being lax in keeping things to themselves, and so they view themselves as being members of a grand and glorious Scientific Community where you can bullshit with your peers in China about all the great and wonderful research you are doing.

Now imagine collating all the companies, employees, contracts, long-term government acquisition plans, and a lot of other publically available information using big data analysis. Now imagine doing that for every defense system you might be going up against, or every defense system you might want to develop for yourself.

You don't even have to be very smart in your collection strategy. Just hoover everything up you can get, have one of your several hundreds of thousands of data management drones condition the data and feed it into one of the several supercomputer systems (whose plans you stole with impunity previously) and let the magic happen.

We're out own worst enemies when it comes to OPSEC.
