General Austin is an American hero and a solid pick for Defense Secretary. Especially when the leading alternative was a woman (undoubtedly polished and brilliant) who has made a career fighting through the swamps and trenches of academia, think tanks, and the Pentagon bureaucracy.
Austin and Biden overlapped in Iraq in 2010-2011 when Biden was leading the US effort down the drain. But they also overlapped when Austin began leading the pushback against ISIS, so there's that.

How do the Supremes not take this case? And if they do, how does Trump lose?
One way they would avoid looking at the merits is to rule that states lack standing to challenge the voting procedures of other states.

Not a lawyer, but I can't see that at all. Voters have standing if their votes are disenfranchised by fraudulent votes in that same election. I'm pretty sure, though, that individuals can't lodge lawsuits in that manner, but state vs state has got to have standing (at least I can't imagine it being otherwise).

What is the implication here? Is it possible Fuchs was not listed as a defendent because she is helping Team Trump by turning over evidence that implicates Raffensberger (and Kemp) of corruption?

What can be "stated" by Congress can be undone by SCOTUS else no law would ever be deemed unconstitutional. So the date, Dec 14, is not itself in the Constitution, just the procedure for setting it is. The date of the inauguration, Jan 20, is, I think, stated in the Constitution, as is the procedure for choosing the POTUS if bad things happen on the road through the EC.
Happy to defer to a real JOM lawyer, of course!

What can be "stated" by Congress can be undone by SCOTUS else no law would ever be deemed unconstitutional.
That's different. The only laws that the court can invalidate are those determined to violate the constitution. Only laws made "in pursuance" of the constitution are valid, so unconstitutional laws are invalid. What similar justification would apply to changing the date of Dec. 14th chosen by congress for the electoral vote?
Also, it would be ironic, at least, and likely hypocritical for plaintiffs to argue that state supreme courts can't override election powers explicitly granted to the state legislatures, while at the same time asking the supreme court to override election powers explicitly granted to congress.

Seen on the Internet. I simply the phrase "crimes too big to fail".
"Looks like the PA AG has filed its response in the SCOTUS. In the opening paragraphs, it’s basically making the argument that even if federal law (ie. the Constitution) was broken with regards to how the election was run, that it would be opening pandora’s box and be too disruptive if the SCOTUS was to disallow the slate of electors that were approved by the governor.
FFS. 10 years ago we had businesses too big to fail. Now we have crimes that are too big to fail."
I assume FFS is "for F's sake"
Posted by: President-Elect Jim,SunnyvaleCA | December 08, 2020 at 04:15 PM
That's something I can see happening. Ruling for the plaintiffs, but saying the election has gone too far to grant retrospective relief. In some cases that would make sense. They can't really allow people to go back through the previous decades, trying to undo past elections that violate the new rules.
However, this case really should be different, because the plaintiffs complained before the election, and were put off by Roberts and the libs.
If the SCOTUS did rule that way, it seems like it might at least have a positive effect on the way the GA runoff elections are held.

Lets not forget what happened last time a communist empire vied with the US for power.
An unholy number of Dems carried their water, made excuses, worked directly for, spied for, supported and otherwise betrayed their country on behalf of those murderous swine, even finding some perverted virtue in being an anti-anti communist.
And when patriotic Americans pointed out what traitors they were and how many of them there were they were slandered, attacked and lied about incessantly. But with the fall of the Soviets pretty much everything the patriots said turned out to be true.
Does anyone think today's crop of Dems [and GOPe dopes] is less inclined to betray their country for an even more generous and supposedly less onerous communist empire? Of course not. It would surprise me greatly if it turns out Biden is not on the direct Peking payroll.
