I finally remember my password go back and try it and it says it has expired. As I'm looking to try a different browser I find my hotmail account opened in a stand alone window. By a miracle the links are hot in it. I click one. Takes me back to the sign in screen and tells me my link is invalid or expired. I try twice more, same result. Never tells me I'm locked out of the account.

Ig, itâs not just govt. This morning I woke up (after having a pleasant/disturbing dream in which I was waiting on my US Rep - I have not seen him or his wife in some months - and I gave him my opinion after asking him two questions) and my phone binged. Text from my brother that Ben Mooore would not be delivering our order as we were not in the proper âbilling category.â WTF? I check my emails, and the BM rep has sent the info to take care of this problem. The powers that be at BM never told the sales reps this was happening, and so several merchants in my area did not get their expected paint orders. A few months back BM announced that they would not send their bills through True Value anymore. Okay - fine, we knew that. No info about new paperwork, etc. Turns out we had to fill out paperwork and send a new tax exempt resale cert to BM. This store has been buying since prior to 1972. Stupid is as stupid does. Took me my first hour in my pjs to fix it. Jerks.
A betting site analyzes the Georgia race, looking at the votes now compared with November. They see rural counties going 2 or 3 points less Republican than in November. Better coverage than bid media, if you ask me.
CH, I have noticed since the Trump tax cut that people have been receiving letters from the IRS informing them that their withholding amounts are too low, and they need to fill out a new W-4. The company that runs my payroll program sends out emails every so often advising how to deal with this letter. In the past year my SIL received a letter (husband is self employed) and just last week my business partner brother did (his wife was self employed and does not work now). Itâs not a conspiracy, but I wonder how many people were confused about the tax cuts, and still received this letter. To date I havenât figured out exactly what the new W-4 does. It just asks the same kids of questions as the old one. I just tell them I will bump up the w/h a bit.
But why? If most peopleâs tax obligations went down (at moderate incomes) then why these letters? Just to confuse people?
I don't know, ccgirl. It never hurts to review your withholdings to make sure you don't get hit with a penalty (for which you have to be *really* under withheld) but coming now seems counterintuitive.
Maybe I am just off on a tangent. The younger generation imo doesnât get taxes at all because they have never filled in the paper forms. Now they answer questions, and voila here is the amount you owe. They donât see the stupid political issues behind the asinine tax rules that one sees when reading the paper instructions.
My oldest still paid taxes, but she did not realize she was paying a lot less than she would have paid under the old tax law. Sheâs just out of school. She has no idea when I tell her how great it is that she is paying less! đ„Č
Too nervous to watch returns so wishing Robert Duvall a Happy 90th Birthday. My favorite movie of his would have to be "Secondhand Lions!" Would love to have several thousand of those types of guys descend on Washington, D.C. tomorrow.
MY daughter doesn't realize how much she is paying, either. I asked her how much her mortgage interest and property taxes were and she couldn't remember. The house is in her name so she should be deducting that, and she uses some on-line thing and doesn't remember.
Counties who havenât submitted results are ALL REPUBLICAN
I thought Fulton Co. announced they would not complete counting absentees until tomorrow...Certainly not a solid R and where much of the theft went on Nov 3rd!
Thanks for the heads up, Momto2! Happy birthday to Robert Duval. One of my favorites. And a conservative to boot.
He reportedly used to attend Westlake High School football games regularly, so he must live around here somewhere, or have a place.
As y'all probably know, Westlake is the only high school in the country to produce two Super Bowl winning QBs/MVPs who aren't brothers named Manning.
I think my favorite Duval performance is Tender Mercies. Secondhand Lions is fantastic, though. Also, The Great Santini, which is frequently overlooked.
MissM, under Trumpâs tax law sheâs taking a bigger standard deduction than she would take if she itemized - likely. Thatâs why itâs confusing to me. The taxes are simpler, but people seem more confused. And I wonder if that in some small way contributed to fewer people voting for Trump (not that I will ever say he lost, because we all know he and we were robbed).
Yes, ccgirl. I am planning a NE trip soon. I grew up in CT and I've got a high school reunion coming up in 2022, plus lots of folks in the area I'd love to meet up with. We need to put together a JOM meetup soon.
Earlier, before the polls closed, I clicked on Fox, and they had the GOP candidates in the 20% and 30% suggested vote. Shocked, they hadn't already called the election for the Dems.
Counties who havenât submitted results are ALL REPUBLICAN
I think the biggest problem is the DaKalb county, which is huge, five-to-one Democrat, and has only reported about 37% of their vote. Many of the Republican counties have tiny populations.
Narc, I reviewed posts. Rowan A. is not always my cup of tea, but he was funny in Four Weddings and a Funeral. I think itâs a good thing these actors are speaking up. We all feel stifled. Let those who have money to spare speak up first. The rest of us will follow, but we are too dependent on day to day income to make a big stink yet! (I hope that doesnât sound counter-revolutionary. đ
These old-timey voting machines were the BEST. That big lever closed the curtain and you voted and that was it. No recounts. No post office. No Wolf Blitzer. Literally âopen and shutââ-bring back the old timey Voting Machines!!!
I thought the 2nd round of covid payments would give me $0, $600 or $1200, probably $0. I was surprised to find $675.75 added to my account today, though I'm unable to find an explanation as to the amount.

Trump Has Gone Nuts
"President Trump is right in saying that the 2020 election was rife with voter fraud. I think he is quite likely right, although no one knows for sure, in alleging that absent fraud he would have been re-elected. But his conduct has nevertheless become indefensible..."
The country is about to condone open in-your-face election and fraud, but Trump's conduct is indefensible. Maybe the lack of response and emotion from the majority of Republican politicians has something to do with Trump's conduct.
Dekalb and Fulton have always come in late. Now we understand it's not a matter of ineptness in counting. It's creativity to accomplish alternative goals.
Hey Hinderaker, what is the appropriate response to the steal of a presidential election (and a whole bunch of downticket races with it) when no one will fight it but Trump and a handful of other elected GOPers?
Disgusting, cowardly response from a normally reasonable conservative.

LOL, my house is so much fun tonight. Hubsâ father is well on the road to recovery and so hubs came home. Kids in the house feared that having their father âquarantiningâ in the house would cause them to be ostracized from their friends, and so they headed for friendâs who can put them up for a week. Hubs is sleeping in his new office - out of the basement. Pull out sofa. It wonât open. I give him directions where to sit so he can hold the sofa firm while I pull out the mattress out. Heâs a mess. Two dayâs no sleep with his dad and worried to boot. Anyway the pull out wonât open all the way. I tell hubs thatâs because you didnât push the beautiful new desk I found you all the back to the wall. He says, âI did!â And I realize I am wrong. Then I check and see that the block of the extension cord is on the floor, and thereby blocking the desk full allowance to the wall. I remove the cord, and ha! Now the pull out sofa fits!
No kids, no husband! Itâs my vacation! Thanks COVID! đ
- JANUARY 5, 2020 -
Statement from President Donald J. Trump
âThe New York Times report regarding comments Vice President Pence supposedly made to me today is fake news. He never said that. The Vice President and I are in total agreement that the Vice President has the power to act.
âThe November 3rd election was corrupt in contested states, and in particular it was not in accordance with the Constitution in that they made large scale changes to election rules and regulations as dictated by local judges and politicians, not by state legislators. This means that it was illegal.
âOur Vice President has several options under the U.S. Constitution. He can decertify the results or send them back to the states for change and certification. He can also decertify the illegal and corrupt results and send them to the House of Representatives for the one vote for one state tabulation.â
I meant to edit that rather than post! Whoops! Letâs just say poor hubs is very tired and has had many bourbons- which is why the sofa thing was so funny. Well, it was here anyway!
Ace him/her self "Now that polls are closed, I can say, without actually harming the chances of Republicans winning: I don't care who wins. I am no longer a Republican. I will not care about this shitbag party until it competes for my vote."
I didnât realize he wrote as well. Two great sailors in film. Of course on Cape Cod we all know Jaws. And who growing up in the â80âs didnât love Red October?

In addition, Georgia like other red states is not immune to the hordes of blue state voters moving there. Which makes the gutting easier.

Earlier, before the polls closed, I clicked on Fox, and they had the GOP candidates in the 20% and 30% suggested vote. Shocked, they hadn't already called the election for the Dems.

I think you have my email, narciso, or someone does.

Davod, I'm shocked, too.

Counties who havenât submitted results are ALL REPUBLICAN
I think the biggest problem is the DaKalb county, which is huge, five-to-one Democrat, and has only reported about 37% of their vote. Many of the Republican counties have tiny populations.

Narciso. Was this aimed at Porchlight - How would get the smaller extract to you. about 40 pages

Let me know, Porch!

Will we see an increase in Democrat seniors dying, now that they know their votes will still be counted after they are dead?

duvall's range as an actor is astonishing. I think I've loved everyone of his movies.

It's DEkalb, not with an A as the 2nd letter.
About 200 yards to the SW as the crow flies.
