Good morning, all!

Strong (6.0) earthquake in Greece, felt in Balkans.

For a third night, the non-european inhabitants of Beauvais no-go-zone (north of Paris), attacked police officers.

They used homemade mortars and stones to target police patrols, as seen in this video where the assaulters are yelling : pic.twitter.com/SOWhI38XED

The base also holds coalition troops.

Wednesday and at the end of the last thread Melinda linked a Microsoft Exchange Server warning of 4 remote access bugs — apply fixes now warning.

That Gates fellow leaves a trail of destruction behind him on everything he touches.

Does this mean I am going to have to deal with the usual crap? The last time I updated it made my computer quit playing CD's. (Remember, I have a 10-year old Hewlitt-Packard desk-top.)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Somebody must have invested a lot of dough in face masks. I am not at all interested.

Miss M, that is a feature and not a bug for Microsoft. If you purchase a new computer, they get a new Windows license fee. Convenient when a “fix” breaks your old computer, isn’t it?

New diet advice from experts... they left out meats, but didn’t add worms. reads a bit like Gundry, leafy bitter greens and berries.

I am not doing anything. I like having a desk-top which I can play videos on at night while I lie on my bed. (Office and bedroom are one.)

When we bought this computer my ex-husband needed it for business, so it had lots of power and storage capability, plus I have a large screen.

I have enough trouble with Kroger changing the format of their on-line ordering system.
If the fix HAS to be done, I will do so, but it seems to me that since I don't even understand WHY or the parameters, I had better wait a bit.

I see, in many parts of our country, a sad state of affairs: schools closed, businesses shuttered and lives destroyed. This calamitous reality is just the beginning of what will likely be long-term damage to children, families and society. pic.twitter.com/iJjwlDUK4u

"If we mask and social distance every winter we will see a dramatic reduction in flu which usually causes hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations and tens of thousands of deaths. I wonder if that will be the lesson from this."

First of all, "mask" is not a goddamn verb.

Second, this guy can go screw himself.

James D.,

My sentiments exactly!

Old Lurker

Actually, "mask" can be a verb...like when a painter "masks" the trim before spraying.

As to the second point, I third that emotion.

Jim Eagle

Fasting until my bloodwork appt. later today. Already hungary.

MM at 0807: That is my governor. BTW, he is responsible for the onslaught of people moving to Florida and not blue but red ones.

Jim Eagle

.....hungary s/b hungry...No, I am not in Budapest:)

I mask only when required by law but the n95 ones we have give me sinus problems even if worn for just a few minutes. My son recommended Air Queen disposables--each can be used 10 times--they are double layered but thin and light. I used one yesterday when I got my second Pfizer shot and he was right..it's much more comfortable.(Got mine thru Amazon, but you might find them elsewhere.)

TM, glad you finally got your first one..I had no real probelms after either shot.

Video at the link. This is probably why we are being directed to all of the other outrage stories, like Cuomo, Dr. Seuss, Mr. Potato Head, etc.

Meanwhile, the dems have a massive vote scheme to take over elections and siphon money to their cronies.

I still hope there is someone working on a vote-machine zapper which would force paper ballots.

Old Lurker

Clarice, I stand by my discovery from a year ago.

Start with the standard throw away blue masks.

Take a razor blade and spilt the seams under each fold. Done carefully, it is invisible to the Karens out there.

Well i dont use outlook maybe thats program is the problem.

So they went from citroen flambe to portland

Another response to the CNN doctor and masks:

Ok......fuck these fake ass doctors. They can kiss my ass. Any one of you idiots still listening should just slap the chains on yourself and be their bitch. Stop being cowards and grow TF up. People die every day! You can't change that. Period.

Old Lurker,

For years we have heard about how dehumanizing the veil is for Saudi women and other Muslim cultures which require it.

Now it's a health and safety plus, according to the "experts".

Why dont theu make better encription or any.

Well exhibit a

This guy was alwaya ahead of the curve

When I joined my husband in West Berlin in 1967, you were required to have an international vaccination record, which was a yellow booklet about the same size as a passport. I had to go to my doctor and get signatures that I had already been vaccinated for smallpox and polio, and had had a TB test.

When did those stop?

When common sense died.

The old yellow vaccination booklet was yours alone. It was not stored in a central database and did not collect past travels.

I don’t mind the vaccination record. I mind the database. That needs to be opposed.

The Capitol police want a 20% increase in their budget. This is a thread on how much their budget already is and compares it to CITIES with comparable cost.

Not to be read by Old Lurker, whose head would explode.

That makes sense. I didn't know about the database. Probably a Bill Gates scheme.

Dave (in MA)

Design firm announces that it was responsible for coming up with the stage that kooks thought was made to resemble some nazi symbol that nobody ever heard of; CPAC joins the kooks and throws design firm under the bus by announcing that they won't use their services again.

Old Lurker

SBW "I mind the database. That needs to be opposed."

Barn Door : Horses Loose

Ship : Sailed

Cat : Out of Bag

Water : Under Bridge

this is fun.

Next somebody important will say you have to pass a bill before you are allowed to know its content.

Happy Birthday, Jane!

Mike Pence:

"After an election marked by significant voting irregularities and numerous instances of officials setting aside state election law, I share the concerns of millions of Americans about the integrity of the 2020 election.

That’s why when I was serving as presiding officer at the joint session of Congress certifying the Electoral College results, I pledged to ensure that all objections properly raised under the Electoral Count Act would be given a full hearing before Congress and the American people."

Mike Pence : Ahoe trying to fool the peeps one more time.

Hes trying standup now.

It might work

That’s why I always schedule my blood draws for 1st AM appointment. I do my fasting while asleep.

Jim Eagle

Happy Birthday, Jane.

Winston Churchill once defined a gentleman as a person who would remember a lady's birthday but not her age:)

I have a similar problem to Clarice and it was my dentist who told me they are seeing a marked increase with people like me who have a toothache in molars only to discover the mask gives them a sinus infection.

I am prone to those anyway. My solution was to order cotton masks from Liberty of London. They come in a pack of 5, all different patterns, and they were here at my door less than a week after London, even with clearing customs.

They wash up well, are pretty, have become a yoga staple for the Diva, and one instantly went to Red's room. Have forgotten that pattern by now.

I also only wear when required and put it on and take off as going through the doors. At least the liberty makes required use less depressing.

Jim Eagle

Wish I could have chosen what time but I needed it stat for my doctor.

Happy Birthday, Jane!

The design firm who did the CPAC stage ?
98.2% of their political donations go to left wing candidates, and they've done work for the likes of Biden and MSNBC.

Happy Birthday Jane.

That's it! It was all of those hydrocarbons the Israelites emitted. Only Noah found favor in God's eyes, because he lived a green lifestyle or something.

How else will the capitol get its orders

James D.

Happy birthday, Jane!!!!!

Dave (in MA),

As far as I am concerned, it is a mnufactured controversy and probably planned ahead.

1. Get contract with CPAC (not hard to do since there aren't that many design firms and all are probably left-leaning).

2. Incorporate obscure SS symbol linked to Nazis in the design. (I had to go look it up to even see what everyone was complaining about.)

3. Wait until President Trump spoke and then go on line and clutch pearls and shudder at the "Nazi" gathering.

4. (Prediction regarding President Trump's speech video.) "Due to offensive imagery this video has been removed."

Dave (in MA)

Gonna have a bitch of a time loading up the Ark with animals, fifty-seven by fifty-seven instead of two by two.

I told my wife to buy Michaels stock last year when she described he lines then I saw some numbers lowing and suggested she take profits - she made triple digit return but with today's $22.00 takeover news left a fortune on the table.

This was a $1.50 stock a year ago.
I should have been paying attention myself and bought some to hold for a while.

My theory is that all of the stores like Target have meh, colorless Ikea-style furniture in black, white and gray. TV is terrible as well.

Lots of people want to DO something, work with their hands, and get some color, as well as finding something for kids to do while they are stuck at home.

Beating a dead horse to distract from killer governors.

From RSE's link;
Today, high school Latin classrooms are overwhelmingly white, even in schools that are otherwise diverse. One of the few sources of data about high school classics, the College Board, reveals that only 3.62% of AP Latin Exam test-takers in the last decade were Black. It’s unclear whether this lack of diversity explains how the field has maintained racist ideas and practices for so long or whether the hostile spaces created by racist policies and practices explain the overwhelming whiteness of the field.

And there is the learned scholarship and critical thinking of critical race theorists. Those are the only two possibilities.
It couldn't be that there are very few Latin courses in the war zones known as urban public schools [which serve as excellent examples of the triumph of socliaism]. Schools in which most can barely read English.
It couldn't be because of the pathologies of urban black culture.
It couldn't be because prog CRT numbnuts keep telling blacks Western Civ is a racist construct.
It couldn't be because black IQ lags white, which lags Asian, which lags Jewish.
Regardless of the causes of those lags they exist and despite all the hand wringing and hand waving and race baiting one might engage in they endure.

Happy Birthday to you, Jane!

Not only did he say it backwards but it seems to me it goes beyond just lady doctor access.
A dude who says he's a chick can hardly be held in a men's prison can he? I reckon there is going to be a veritable avalanche of transgenders in prison if that is so.
Leading eventually I would assume to the establishment of co-ed only prisons for men, women and otherkin of every shape and variety.
We could call them zoos and charge admittance.

Those Romans hated Jews, so yeah. But they also hated Alemanii, Goths, Ostrogiths, Visigoths, Celts, Thracians, Scythians, Stygians, Cyrenians, and Varii.

The only people they really liked as a people were Greeks, and they were all slaves anyway.

We really need to change our focus and look to the great civilizations of Afrikka for our language and culture. Those crazy Zimbabweans whom no one can find much of a trace of. All of those Earth, Wind & Fire Egyptians. Yeah, that's the ticket....

WHITEHOUSE: Do you know how many questions for the record the FBI failed to answer in the last four years?

WRAY: I do not.

WHITEHOUSE: Well, I'll tell you. There were nine hearings in this committee in which the FBI was a witness. And in seven of them the committee got exactly zero questions for the record - seven, zero questions. Can you explain that?

WRAY: I cannot. I will say -

WHITEHOUSE: Are you going to do any better with the questions that we are getting right now? You have been asked questions for the record. Are they going to go into the same whatever-it-was hole where questions for the record go to die at the FBI?

TC, it's 50/50 on reacting to the second jab, pretty much--across age groups, genders-- in our department, and my husband's as well.
Everyone who was symptomatic had a decent response to Motrin, as far as getting rid of rigors so they could sleep (so they could work the next day). It is NOT recommended to pregame with the Motrin--it might decrease the immune response.

We pretty much moved to getting the second shot on Friday afternoons, so we'd have the weekend to recover.
