GUS

Gentlejim, as you certainly know, I have 3 LEO brothers. Federal/State Dept. County/municipal Colorado. Today is the anniversary of COLUMBINE, if I am not mistaken. My JEFFCO Colorado brother, had his very fist SWAT Event.
I called my Denver bro, after George Floyd died.
He was clear that kneeling on a suspect in custody's neck was "frowned upon". I would tend to agree, though, the HYPE has been EPIC. But one thing that has always occurred to me, as an extremely logical person, skeptical, and a guy who has critical thinking skills, is the nature of presumption of innocence can just be flushed down the toilet, when the MOB who have no critical thinking skills, and no intent to protect suspects constitutional rights, can deny that reasonable doubt can exist, when they don't want it to. The evidence would seem to indicate, that it is NOT, cut and dried, that George Floyd died as a result of CHAUVINS actions. There seems to be plenty of room for doubt. Except that THE MOB has made it clear, DOUBT is not an OPTION. I'm not defending CHAUVIN, I am merely sickened at this UTTER MISCARRIAGE of justice.
No change of venue, and plenty of juror fear, if they didn't satisfy the MOB.
Btw. I've PROLLY told you, that I served on a sequestered MURDER JURY, in Milwaukee County, the weeks/almost 3 weeks, trial and following mental culpability trial, immediately upon my University graduation. I learned alot, and it stopped me in my TRACKS from going to LAW SCHOOL.

GUS

G-Jim, typo, I have 2 LEO brothers. Not 3.

GUS

Mel, there should have been a change of VENUE.
There was no chance CHAUVIN could get any semblance of a fair trial. The moment the AUTO ZONE burned, and The first TARGET was looted, and the "HOOD", had lots of NIKES for sale from the trunks of stolen cars, ALL BETS WERE OFF.
MOSTLY PEACEFUL ARSONISTS, LOOTERS and NIKE salesmen, not withstanding.

Narciso

Where would you hold the trial, on the other side of the moon? In 1980 they held the mcduffie case in tampa in 1990 the one i volvimg the superbowl in orlando now a days everything is saturated with idiots

GUS

Simple answer Narciso. NOT IN MINNEAPOLIS.
As I've said several times here. The night the RIOTING ,LOOTING AND BURNING STARTED..... I watched COMMIE NEWS NETWORK, C-Bull-SHIT, ABC, always been COMMUNIST et al, show the bLACK MOB, with some ANTEFA PEEPS and fat chix, outside of the POLICE PRECINCT. I said to MRS GUS, honey, do you see the AUTO ZONE. Yes Mr.Gus, she said. I responded, it won't be there tomorrow. I'm not fucking NOSTRADAMUS. There was ZERO reason, to hold the trial in HENNEPIN COUNTY or MINNEAPOLIS.
Narciso, you are intelligent. I'm sure you understand this. WHERE ELSE??? DULUTH perhaps.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

--Dershowitz says the SCOTUs will reverse. I think the 7th Circuit Ct of Appeals will beat them to it.--

Yeah, those courageous judges will surely want to take the blame for even bigger riots than last summer...

GUS

Why was there not a change of venue Ig???
I have a thought on that. FAME. This judge seemed reasonable, up until he commented of MAD MAX. You and I (we) expect that ELECTED LOCAL CIRCUIT court judges, are wise, learned and possibly unbiased some times. They are not. They, just like Pelosi, Ilhan Omar, Swallow/well, Schiff, and Nadler, not to mention OCASSHOE CORRRRRRRRRRTEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, are merely a reflection of those misinformed or highly biased and clueless TAKERS, that elected these clowns.
The notion that a video of a man in custody, and even possibly a bad choice by the OFFICER, is PROOF of MURDER etc. Is ABSURD and IGNORANT.
This nation continues to allow the FULL COMMIE LEFT to behave in such a way, that WE are being left with very few OPTIONS vis a vis saving this REPUBLIC. MFM and SOCIAL MEDIA have exhibited such bias and censorship, that even people who CARE ABOUT THE TRUTH, have to dig and search to find it. Most people do not have the time nor inclination. THE COMMIES count on that.

GUS

The SCOTUS, will NOT REVERSE this. What reason would ROBERTS and his CLOWN POSSE have to actually get involved. One thing I learned Ig, and I think you share it, is that being skeptical or a critical thinking informed person, is NOT THE NORM.
This comes from DECADES of BILL AYERS et al. The propaganda, the herd mentality, the UNWILLINGNESS to swim against the current is EPIC.
Not having the skills or even the KNOWLEDGE of our CONSTITUTION and our founding principles nor people have very few principles is NOT GOOD.
It's a hive or GOOOONION mentality. I'll be paid and protected, so long as I sacrifice my brain and my morality.

Pinandpuller

My alma mater, piggybacking on yet another Giving Day, thought that mentioning "yesterday's verdict" was yet another reason to donate.

They should have said "we have thoroughly politicized the educational institution you knew to create agents for transformational change driven by emotion and ideals of what might be in the future, please give so they can hammer against the bulwarks."

Having gotten excellent history, econ, and humanities training there in the old days I get that we go after those bulwarks, which is effectively what is being advocated for when worldview change is the whole point, at great risk.

So. @MollyRatty deleted her account because she was threatened with a dox by @AriCohn and then @NewkThaGod came along and lent him an assist. See Ari didn’t like it one bit when Molly insulted him, so in response, he decided to warn her by using a part of her real name.

When she warned our Hero that he would get a reputation as a doxer (he’s a big Free Speech Attorney™️, dontcha know), he again used part of her real name to warn her to shut up. Please note the timestamps. Isn’t anonymity a cornerstone of free speech? But I digress. Anyway,

That’s when the real threats began. Ari threatened to contact @MollyRatty’s law firm, because I guess that’s what a Free Speech Lawyer™️ does when challenged. Of course, @AriCohn denies any threats or wrongdoing of any sort, and I guess that would fly if he didn’t brag about

@MollyRatty deactivating. “If you’re going to come for me, come correct.” Crowed the narcissist. So if Ari didn’t threaten to dox her, why brag about her deleting? The banter back and forth wouldn’t have made her deactivate. On to the sycophant @NewkThaGod

Newk decided to share with Ari and his 16k followers the method that *he* used to deduce @MollyRatty’s identity. The funny thing is, Ol’ Newk decided to share the fact that he searched another handle; @Molratty. Seems like this law creep has been sitting on this dox for awhile.

@MollyRatty felt as if she had no choice but to deactivate to protect her livelihood and her family. Everyone knows the harm that can come from a dox, and @AriCohn knew exactly what he was doing when he dropped *just* enough hints for a creep like @NewkThaGod to pick up on.

“Show me where I threatened her” he says over and over, all while bragging that @MollyRatty left the platform. He’s a liar and a malignant narcissist who cannot tolerate criticism, but hey, at leas he has a blue check, right?

@MollyRatty says she won’t be coming back. It’s sad really, but I don’t blame her a bit. This place is toxic as all hell and rewards impotent morons like @AriCohn with a blue check for inane commentary with exactly zero substance.

Here's the difference between a prog and me [and I suspect most decent people].
If Floyd were as white as a sheet and was having as bad a day as black George Floyd and Chauvin were as black as the ace of spades and did precisely what white Chauvin did, I would just as strongly believe the prosecution could not even clear the hurdle of probable cause on what killed Floyd and Chauvin shouldn't even have been prosecuted.
In those circumstances a prog would either vaguely agree or not particularly care since the case served no political point.
So the mirror image of prog views isn't mine, it's the neo Nazis who decry white Chauvin's prosecution [because he's white not because he was denied a fair trial] but would cheer black Chauvin's.
And that's because progs and neo Nazis are kissin, totalitarian, ideological cousins and the rest of us have no part in or connection to their evil worldviews.

Jane:

I am not conceding the point we are at herd immunity. I am conceding that I had no idea that the JOM consensus was that we were there.

Herd immunity pretty much means people are exceptionally unlikely to catch the virus because enough people are immune and the virus does not have a chance to spread. The rolling 7 day average of cases (as of 4-20) is 64,530. To put that in context, that's about the same number of daily new cases that popped up nationwide during July 2020, the peak of the "second wave".

To take it locally to Florida, the daily case rate on 4-20 is 6,267 (9.7% of average US cases over the period). That's comparable to the rates Florida had in August 2020, during a period where nobody would have argued there was herd immunity. It's also up a bit from the 7-day averages during the month of March (example, March 16 at 4,527)

Based on this, it doesn't look like you are living in herd immunity where you are. If you were, the numbers wouldn't be rising, and your state wouldn't have 10% of the national cases. But since you have your shots, and Stephanie has her antibodies, you probably aren't at risk for catching anything or spreading anything. (The idea that vaccinated people spread the virus seems far fetched to me.)

I look forward to your critique of this. The numbers come from the charts you get when you google COVID-19 infection rate united states and COVID-19 infection rate Florida.

Cases <> Infections

Now do false positive results. That you don't understand the difference between a positive test result AKA "case" vs someone that actually does have the virus, speaks to a lack of understanding of the problem.

BTW the cycles that the testing is run for is also likely to throw out lots of false positives and they have been running way too high of a cycle rate at many labs.

One person <> One case positive
One Person = One positive case and two negative cases = 3 Case results

Wisconsin City Clerks Weigh in on Green Bay Colleague Who Quit Job Over Outside Election Help

https://www.dailysignal.com/2021/04/19/wisconsin-city-clerks-weigh-in-on-green-bay-colleague-who-quit-job-over-outside-election-help/?

MADISON, Wis.—Former Green Bay City Clerk Kris Teske has been called a “superhero” for standing up against the pressures of city officials and outside election activists interfering in her office.

Teske’s fellow municipal clerks also see the long-time public servant as a cautionary tale.

“Before what happened in Green Bay, this wasn’t even a thought. After reading about what went on there, a lot of clerks went, ‘Holy cow!’ Mostly they are saying, ‘Thank God it wasn’t me,’” Kelly Michaels, master municipal clerk for the city of Brookfield, said.

Michaels is past president of the Wisconsin Municipal Clerks Association and chairwoman of the group’s Legislative Communications and Advocacy Committee. She said Green Bay’s beleaguered former clerk has been a topic of grave concern in recent weeks.

As a Wisconsin Spotlight investigation uncovered, Teske grew so frustrated with third-party groups and city officials meddling in her office and bullying her and her staff that she resigned.

Stephanie,

Focusing on trends is a better way of looking at this. Sure, there are false positives. There are also people who have mild/no symptoms and never get tested. I think they outnumber the false positives, because (as anonamom noted) reported cases seem to be half the rate of actual infection.

If you figure the ratio of over/under counting is constant over the country, Florida still has about 10% of the cases, still has a rising number of reported cases (and therefore infections) over the past month. Its rate of cases also resembles the downslope of the second wave in FL -- which wasn't herd immunity.

So, I don't think we are herd immunity yet. Not in the USA, or in Florida. That was the point of my comment to Jane.

Bannon also had a black guy on who said that conservatives do not have the way to connect with the black communities, and Candace Owens is not the answer.

He is of the opinion that dragging Floyd's history of drug abuse and past criminal behavior out to discount the jury's decision is only polarizing people more.

In the prior hour Guiliani said he thought the verdicts were justified.

Who was it that said that if Chauvin was a bad actor as a policeman, he would have been fired if not for the police union? I think that is correct.

What I DO know is that people like Maxine Waters, Kamala Haris and Joe Biden are using the case to stir up more animosity and violence.

I want to know where that money supposedly sent to the Floyd family actually goes.

As if we forgot justin volpe or the one who shot amadou diallo. Its rather striking how big their blindspot cam be.

Horowitz is closer to the point, i guess one might call it a color revolution as darren beattie has described.

Why do either when threatening to do them has the same effect with none of the side effects?

If that's true, and I don't concede it is, it says a lot more about black communities than conservatives.

Iggy, he says the threats won't work on the CT this time and explains why

I'll read it, but he'll have to convince me the threats aren't already working on the court = don't touch an election case, don't touch a gun case, etc.

Democracy must be a bottom-up project. It cannot be entrusted to either party. Whether you think of Occupy or Ferguson or Standing Rock or the teachers’ strikes, the flourishing protests of the last decade are grassroots insurgencies against intersecting material crises produced by elite rule. It is here that we must pay attention.48 Social movements are essential to contesting the strangled domain of democratic politics under neoliberal capitalism and its unrelenting expansion of the market economy. To create the conditions where popular majorities can engage in self-rule requires a vision of democracy that does not separate politics from the economy and that is committed to grassroots power and a more ambitious program of reform.

As I have warned before, the local is the prog's favorite political arena these days.
