Facebook continues its suspension of Trump. Trump has as much media access as anyone in the world, so I just can't get exercised about a 'free speech' issue here.
Banning lunatic fringe anti-vax groups gets closer to a danger zone. I generally think the anti-vaxxers are doing the public a disservice, but plenty of libs (and Facebook employees) would say the same about gun rights enthusiasts.
Now, if Facebook wants to ban their own highly lucrative practice of selling micro-targeted ads, we'd be getting somewhere. With their micro-targeting, good speech can't counter bad speech because (unlike radio, TV or print) most of those ads never hit the mainstream radar. Can't rebut what you haven't heard!
But yes, pigs will fly to the board meeting where FB changes their ad policies.

9:51am May 5, 2021
Warmonger Liz Cheney, who has virtually no support left in the Great State of Wyoming, continues to unknowingly and foolishly say that there was no Election Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election when in fact, the evidence, including no Legislative approvals as demanded by the U.S. Constitution, shows the exact opposite. Had Mike Pence referred the information on six states (only need two) back to State Legislatures, and had gutless and clueless MINORITY Leader Mitch McConnell (he blew two seats in Georgia that should have never been lost) fought to expose all of the corruption that was presented at the time, with more found since, we would have had a far different Presidential result, and our Country would not be turning into a socialist nightmare! Never give up!

Rep. Greg Murphy (R., N.C.) called on Centers for Disease Control director Rochelle Walensky to resign Tuesday after reports surfaced that one of America’s largest teachers’ unions influenced the center’s school reopening guidelines.
“As a practicing physician, I believe that any physician who puts the influence of political organizations before the well-being of our children has violated the Hippocratic Oath and does not belong in public service,” Murphy said in an exclusive statement to the Washington Free Beacon. “These actions are unconscionable, and so I am calling on Dr. Walensky to resign immediately.”
The CDC edited its guidance for reopening schools in response to pressure from the American Federation of Teachers, emails between top officials at the CDC, the union, and the White House show.

After Twitter’s 24% stock value loss …
Twitter’s days as a completely free platform could be ending.
According to comments made by CEO Jack Dorsey at the virtual Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference on Feb. 10, 2021, subscriptions and other forms of payments could be coming to Twitter.
“The first thing we want to focus on is that economic incentive to people who are contributing to Twitter,” Dorsey, who is also the CEO of the digital payments company Square SQ, (SQ) said at the conference. “That can come through a regular subscription, that can come through content unlock, that can come through tipping. There is a host of things and right now we are just studying and prioritizing what those things look like.”
Seems like Jack Dorsey has the business model backwards or he is an absolute genius. I’ll go with the first one.
Twitter and Facebook have the actual users as the product. If you can get the product to self finance then you have stumbled onto one of the greatest money making schemes since Ponzi.

OL and Ig,
Following up on the UBI and all the other rot, it dawned on me with OL’s reminder about IQ that when Bell Curve came out in 94, it was flamed into oblivion practically in days because it was the floodlight on a room full of cockroaches.
In dark corners of the web you can find stats on IQ that strongly suggests that slaves that arrived here probably had 70 IQ that was diluted over a century or two by interbreeding with whitey dragging it up to 85. Talk about a taboo! Can’t talk about that!
Now add another double, secret taboo of the likely psychopath gene that was apparently a tiny fraction of the general population down through history (because those found to have it were either killed, or driven out of the local clan), and then bred back with a vengeance by LBJ’s Great Society. Nothing like the positive feedback of psycho baby daddies breeding millions of psycho babies so the baby mommas got to collect all that welfare.
But let’s drown out any such discussion with raccisss malarkey.

I think there may be a genetic predisposition to certain personality disorders but psychopathy isn't generally considered a PD and, at least according to Doc Hare who is the psycho guru, psychopathy has a fairly defined set of parameters and is also pretty rare.
Psychos are usually pretty smart and most don't spend a whole lot of time in jail, if any.
Anti-social personality disorder on the other hand does not seem to be characterized by any great brainpower and one of its defining characteristics is the affected chap spends no small amount of time in chokey because he is, well, kind of anti-social. They are reckless, often violently so, don't much care for any social conventions and don't generally think rules apply to them. Like NPD and psychos they have little to no empathy, are manipulative, entitled and parasitical. Unlike both they have an extraordinary disregard for avoiding the consequences of their reckless actions. NPD and psychos are chillingly calculating and generally take pains to establish deniability, while ASPDs either take the most rudimentary precautions or none at all. Most repeat offenders and career criminals are ASPD at some level.

A federal judge struck down on Wednesday the national eviction moratorium, potentially leaving millions of Americans at risk of losing their homes.
Housing advocates have said that the national ban is necessary to stave off an unprecedented displacement of Americans, which could worsen the coronavirus pandemic just as the country is turning a corner.
Property owners have criticized the policy and say landlords can't afford to continue housing people for free.

Yesterday I mentioned the problem in the Reason article with casually referring to Calculus as a concept. Today I was on a global webinar tied to World Summit on the Information Society and the MyWays Competency Framework came to my mind as what exists that participants were pretending to be unaware of.
I doublechecked my conclusion against the Framework and https://s3.amazonaws.com/nglc/resource-files/MyWays_09ContentKnowledge.pdf is an example of how a 'concept-based' curriculum differs from a subject focus. In other words, it is what is missing from soave's article. Not understanding the difference leaves outraged parents exercising their 'School Choice' as the Reason article hyped, only to pick another school that is concept based too.
Truthfully all will be to a large extent because of changes in federal law.

Ig,
My one and only deep dive was 12 yrs ago and reading one breathtaking paper where the key, possibly genetic flaw, was literally no sense of time. In other words, you cannot develop a conscience if you don’t understand the concept of time. “If I steal that cookie, mama will spank me” can’t work because it implies a projection into the future.
One example from the paper that stuck: “Joe, did you stab Mary?” “No...,but I loved the way the blood ran off the edge of the blade.”

First, powerful people across the planet are often the targets of foreign disinformation campaigns; this is normal. Second, powerful intel agencies have a history of conducting briefings solely to create records that can then be leaked to sympathetic reporters in order to generate stories about said threats. Third, there were no actionable specifics in the Johnson briefing, as the senator explained to the Post, generating strong evidence for his suspicion the FBI was setting him up. And fourth, well, the big Giuliani briefing didn’t actually happen at all.

Biden goes fishing for Green New Deal votes ...
U.S. eyes nuclear reactor tax credit to meet climate goals -sources
The White House has signaled privately to lawmakers and stakeholders in recent weeks that it supports taxpayer subsidies to keep nuclear facilities from closing and making it harder to meet U.S. climate goals, three sources familiar with the discussions told Reuters.
New subsidies, in the form of "production tax credits," would likely be swept into President Joe Biden's multi-trillion-dollar legislative effort to invest in infrastructure and jobs, the sources said.

ABC’s Terry Moran Grills RNC Spox NINE Times On If He Accepts 2020 Election Results: ‘I’m Asking You to Affirm Our Constitution’
https://www.mediaite.com/tv/abcs-terry-moran-grills-rnc-spox-nine-times-on-if-he-accepts-2020-election-results-im-asking-you-to-affirm-our-constitution/
The US Constitution, a rather brief document, says little about the rules of elections, but it does make some rules clear.
In Article I Section 4, the Constitution says: The times, places and manner of holding elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each state by the legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by law make or alter such regulations.
In Article II Section 1, Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.
Notice that this does not say the "states" or the "legislature, executive and judicial branches", it says "by the legislature thereof". In multiple states the Secretary of State, a part of the executive, who is tasked with performing the elections took it upon themselves, without the legislature thereof, to change the manner of holding elections To make matter worse, the the judiciary in some states also did the same. But, ultimately, the SCOTUS acted cowardly by not taking up these matters. So, to answer the question .. NO..
Also notice that the times, places and manner of holding elections for Senators and Representatives that Congress may at any time by law make or alter such regulations (Article I Section 4), but no such power is granted to Congress for selecting Electors to the Electoral College that selects the President (Article II Section 1).

The Supreme Court has outlived it's purpose. It is so politicised that it no longer even takes up issues/cases based on the views of a eunuch of a Chief Justice. These aren't unbiased judges. They're terrified lawyers who are value their prestigious lifetime positions more than the law or the concerns of Americans.
Expanding their numbers will only magnify the problem. I doubt that the Founding Fathers anticipated the disaster that the Court has become.

When will it not be okay for you TM? Can you see what is happening? I feel sorry for you more than anything, because you are sticking your head in the sand, and hoping it will just go away. You need to WAKE UP!
How does it go? "First they came for Trump, and I didn't speak up...."
Please reconsider your tone.
Who said that? I can't find the post. Just curious.

"US Birth Rate Sees Largest Single-Year Drop in Nearly 50 Years..."
COVID good for birth control. Mind you,12 months locked up with the wife should have had the opposite effect.

--Facebook continues its suspension of Trump. Trump has as much media access as anyone in the world, so I just can't get exercised about a 'free speech' issue here.--
So lets posit a thought experiment; Let's say Donald Trump, rather than being the caterpillar in TM's salad, was TM's bee's knees, his cat's pyjamas, his ideal candidate and office holder.
Now let's say Barry spied on him and railroaded his incoming NSA and the FBI lied to the FISA court to surveil him and he spent three years fighting a fake Russian investigation based on Hillary's bought and paid for lies and he was impeached twice over preposterous partisan political claims and twitter and fecesbook banned him, Time described how the entire weight of mainstream media and billionaire oligarchs conspired with election officials and the Dem party to make sure he wasn't elected and there were as many voting anomalies, irregularities, outright illegalities and unconstitutional revisions of voting law as we experienced.
Or, if it's a bridge too far for TM to posit a benevolent Trump, let's say the Orange Ogre and his allies did all those things [which they couldn't do because they don't control the levers of power and the institutions the way progs do] to the good, decent, absolutely and totally in no way corrupt and doddering imbecile Joe Biden.
Would TM blithely say, 'so Joe is kicked off the two biggest social media platforms on earth, who cares?' I don't think so. If he would say that then he really is messed up because I think even I would defend a Dem who was subjected to that crooked campaign.
More likely he would object strenuously to either Bizarro Trump or Uncle Joe being treated as real Trump is. And that is an even worse reaction than complacency over both because it is an endorsement of a two tiered society. Admittedly it's something of a 'when did you stop beating your wife' proposition but the progs have never stopped beating their enemies so it's not an unfair one.

I'm sure this question has been asked, but besides 'style' the squawk against Trump has been what a danger to democracy he constituted. What a fascist who operated outside of not just convention but the law he is. He had no scruples, was an incessant liar and there was no gutter, underhanded or criminal tactic he wouldn't stoop to. He even inspired an insurrection to take over the country and deny Amurikkka its rightful dunce in chief. TM and Appalled and many other RINOs and moderates and conservative-guardians-of-all-that-is-right-and-holy-nevertrump-pimples all claimed that and more about the guy.
So here's the question; If even a fraction of it is true why is it Trump who lost and whose only efforts to reverse the loss were to file some meek lawsuits, complain loudly and, if we are to believe the progs and the NT retards, this veritable Mussolini, this proto Hitler launched a fascist insurrection consisting of Ed Norton in face paint on his way to the Raccoon Lodge and a guy who was so polite he left a quarter for touching Pelosi Galore's seat, which is twice her going rate, lost in the first place?
If Trump were even a small fraction of the caricature painted, Biden and the Dems would have watched hopelessly as his huge election day deficit grew massively over the next couple of days as Trump's fascist legions made sure Biden and the Dems were buried forever. Mussolinis and Hitlers don't lose elections and they end up hanged and shot not giving speeches about how unfair things are and retiring to Mar A Lago to try and get elected against the same crooks again.
So if the caricature was not even fractionally correct, what rational reason do any of these moderate clowns have for their animus toward Trump and embrace of a senile, left wing lunatic like Biden who is doing his best to bring us into the "suddenly" phase of national bankruptcy?

I go to both JOM and Jom2. Fine sites. I really wish people wouldn’t come here and post nasty stuff to and about TM. It’s simply not necessary. He doesn’t comment. He’s kind enough to provide this venue, and you have an alternative. And frankly you sound like spoiled 3rd graders. CCgirl did it right instead of spewing venom. I’m really sick of it.

Barbara, I just checked and at JOM2 there are only 9 users online, only 6 of whom are registered and identifiable.
ccgirl, I understand your anger, but you are not recommending TM by commenting here. I don't read his posts, i just go to the comments. This is a good group of people who gather to talk. You will be missed if you leave. I enjoy hearing about the outrages of your state, where I lived for a time. I live in a deep blue area of SoCal. You just have to pick and choose.
Please stay

Ignatz,
I said when the Never Trumpers and the dems went nuts about his nomination back in 2016 that it was more than “he’s not our sort.”
It was more like rabid hatred borne out of fear. I suspect that since Trump had been on the celebrity circuit for years, at parties and political fundraisers for both parties, not to mention the television show, they feared he had gathered a lot of secrets. Once he won the election, they really went into a panic, because they knew that he would also have access to all sorts of intelligence.
However, if there had been anything even 10% as bad as what we have already learned about his enemies,it would have been on TV 24/7. Ergo, they had nothing.

I hope that isn't referring to me because I already get the indirect flame from Gus and others for previously calling TM "gracious" so I don't need it from both sides.
I challenge TM's ideas and what I see as his illogic and inconsistencies. Are his ideas, good and bad, beyond discussion on the blog where he posts them?
