The Biden Recovery hits a wall. Clearly the gloomy jobs report is due to fear of out-of-control Federal spending. Unless its due to a failure by Biden to propose free child care, pick up the tab on student debt, push for DC statehood, pack the Supreme Court and pound the table for the Green New Deal.
Or maybe this sort of recovery takes time? Nahh... crazy talk.
Go long candles. And start brushing up on your cave art.

Meanwhile, businesses in Indianapolis are hiring and cannot find people, to the point that local radio is holding a job fair on-line and on air next Wednesday and are being swamped by emails from employers.
I bet the massive unemployment in states like California and New York are far outweighing the employment figures in states like mine.
Biden isn't doing anything to help with his pronouncements, EO's, backing of the Green New Deal, saying China was going to be ahead of us, etc.

Raw data can explain much where normal stats applied to "even things out" doesn't quite show the whole picture.

Biden's 100 days misses job target by 1.3 million jobs (65%)
The White House prepared to celebrate a jobs-gained milestone of 2 million on Friday under President Joe Biden during his first 100 days -- but those plans were shattered by the devastating jobs report for April.
Punchbowl News reported Friday morning that senior White House staffers were watching the jobs estimates of created 700,000 jobs, eager to promote the record number of jobs created during Biden's first 100 days.

WHITE HOUSE COUNCIL OF ECONOMIC ADVISERS MEMBER JARED BERNSTEIN: ASKED ABOUT APRIL PAYROLLS REPORT, SAYS NO COURSE CORRECTION NEEDED

I was going to write a comment that the biggest problem I have with progs is they broke the social contract we the people had with our institutions by moving them from being value neutral to pushing only prog values, but I'm not sure that's true.
I'm not sure it's true because I don't think there is any value neutral institution. They are the product of the culture and society they spring from.
They previously supported a far more tolerant, fair and less ideological viewpoint, but that's because the culture itself was.
Cultures and institutions are never static because they are always battlegrounds. And that's why we now find the 60s iconoclasts either defending the establishment they have created or trying to root out the remains of the old order to impose their New Order. Meanwhile The Man of the 60s is now the subversive dissident. There is no cultural stasis; the battle is eternal and you are either winning or losing. The cycle seems to be that no one can retain power for long because those who have lost it have nothing left to lose while those in power grow fat and complacent and lose their vitality.
Or we may be entering a new Dark Ages.
Either way buy guns and ammo and para bellum.

Club for Growth was just one culprit, MM.
IHP were one of the first to offshore manufacturing to China to gain a cost advantage because they were getting killed by Gateway, Dell and the other low cost providers. Once they went, everyone else went to remain competitive in a race to the bottom.
The same with shoes, socks, Levis and 100 other classes of goods.
The Chinese had rigged the game with free land, no pollution controls (at the time), tax holidays, and cheap labor.
Plenty of blame to go around, all in the name of keeping costs and inflation under control. Government and consumers wanted cheap goods and corporations wanted better quarterly profits.
Now we are in a technology hole.

Are foxes a protected species here in the US? According to the country people in Midsomer, they are now in England.

Biden plan would limit longstanding tax break used by farmers https://foxbusiness.com/politics/biden-plan-limit-tax-break-farmers

How soon will the Biden administration make family farming illegal. Our food production must come from controlled corporations. Otherwise how can the Stalin starvation of all political enemies be repeated.

Davod,
I told you guys that if they get on the animal lovers bad list, the dems would sink like the Titanic.
I actively encourage the dems to talk about how pets are a danger to the environment, how kittens should be euthanized, how helpful they are in experiments, etc. etc.
There are a fair number of lefties on Twitter who have accounts set up where their cats and dogs are featured in betwixt political commentary. They will NOT support this type of stuff.

Sammy Small,
That is why Bill Gates is the largest farmland owner in the US.
I actively encourage Gates being shown to be the weirdo, crank, and crook that he is. The sooner he is shown to be a liability to the dems, the sooner some sanity will return to the tech/science community.

You always get this feeling that every trial balloon out of the Biden White House is intended to soften the blow of the final deal.
balloon) kill every male child
final deal) kill every 1st born male child

Melinda,
I didn't know where it came from, but I knew it was Klaus Schwab, and I also have seen it before.
Apparently, a lot of people haven't, however, and I am ok with them thinking it is his uniform as Head Sinister Villain of the World Economic Forum.
