Hi everyone. Hope all of you are doing marvelous given the ongoing insanity taking place just about every day now. Unfortunately, I got myself into this bad habit of constantly mumbling … wth???? on a daily basis. TBH it isnt wth I mumble but the one with the eff at the end. Anyway, I’ve been this way for over a year now and I just can’t seem to break the habit given what we’ve been up against. Any ideas?
Wapo says tomato crop in California is down due to drought and will be worse next year because a lot of the farmers are not going to even plant next year so stock up now on tomato sauce, ketchup, pizza sauce, canned tomatoes.
Hi all, been a while, all is well here, hoping the same for all of you.
The excessive rain has ruined a lot of our tomatoes. It causes their skin to crack and split. And I do love a tomato sandwich with mayo, but keto! I'm down 50 lbs thanks to keto so maybe I'll throw my system out of ketosis and reward myself.
--Wapo says tomato crop in California is down due to drought...--
Well, sort of. If we had built enough dams to handle the bajillions of people we imported and didn't insist on flushing out the rivers with water for the itty bitty fishies in lieu of drinking it and making food with it we'd have plenty of tomatoes.
Oh, I got a story. One that made it into family lore.
My oldest bro, grew tomatoes one year that were absolutely ginormos.
The talk of the summer.
Kept some seeds to replicate the triumph the following year.
They all sprouted and he tended them lovingly the next year.
They were all cherry tomatoes.
As I recall, he ran down the story on them and they are cherry tomatoes that are run under some type of radiation that switches off a gene that results in the ginormous fruit.
Not a year goes by that we don't rib him about it.
Rocco, from my watching of keto YouTubes, a break now and then is good. Keeps your metabolism on its toes or something. Glad it works for you. I agree on sliced tomato / mayo sandwiches. Yum!
Bubarooni. My boy who I've talked about for over a decade here, made his first solo trip out of state. HE drove from Milwaukee to the West side of Cleveland. I told him NOT to stop for any reason until he got to Indiana. I talked to Gentlejim, and got some advice. He made it from Milwaukee to the Indiana border via 294 in 2 hours.
Made it home without any problem after a week.

Why would anyone check their meds in their luggage rather than putting them in their carry-on? That is just stupid. No sympathy from me. I always assume that meds are a prime target for theft, plus even if your flight isn't delayed, luggage could accidentally be routed to another airport.
Yes, I know, and that was a justifiable gripe. However, I still say he should have left out the complaint about his meds, because it makes him look rather foolish.

henry,

Narciso,
Why would anyone check their meds in their luggage rather than putting them in their carry-on? That is just stupid. No sympathy from me. I always assume that meds are a prime target for theft, plus even if your flight isn't delayed, luggage could accidentally be routed to another airport.

Yes, I know, and that was a justifiable gripe. However, I still say he should have left out the complaint about his meds, because it makes him look rather foolish.
