If you are amazed at the surrender of Afghanistan, you should be aware the same is happening in America.
Republicans, libertarians, constitutionalists, etc. - all people sworn by oath, deed and belief to defend and protect our Constitution and the constitutional republic for which is stands are analogous to the various tribes in Afghanistan.
We can't bemoan the disgusting and humiliating retreat from Kabul and then do the same in our homeland.
Please - join your local Republicans, libertarians or constitutionalists and fight for the liberation and restoration of this nation.
These tribes can unite against the invaders, those who hold ideas and beliefs antithetical to our heritage of freedom for all, dependence for none.
The Summit County GOP had three decorated vehicles and about 30 or so people marching with us on the Park City annual Miner's Day parade down the middle of town. I was driving my truck with people in the back and the cab - and even in leftist dominated Park City, we drew applause, cheers and chants of "USA! USA! USA!" as we rolled down the street.
There are more of us than many think...and I think more are silently joining us every day. Find a tribe. We are not the American Taliban, we are the American Mujihadeen.

Liberty has become a commodity the productive pay the government to retain in small amounts. They are chained to government by the Quixotic notion that hard work and adherence to First Principles are still valued – even as more and more liberty is taken from them by a socialistic government and socialistic institutions (like a university that deigns to suspend a student and require reeducation for committing the thoughtcrime of stating #alllivesmatter). The productive have most assuredly become the “forgotten man” of Yale University professor William Graham Sumner. He identified that person in an 1876 essay:
“As soon as A observes something which seems to him wrong, from which X is suffering, A talks it over with B, and A and B then propose to get a law passed to remedy the evil and help X. Their law always proposes to determine what C shall do for X, or, in better case, what A, B, and C shall do for X… What I want to do is to look up C. I want to show you what manner of man he is. I call him the Forgotten Man. Perhaps the appellation is not strictly correct. He is the man who never is thought of…. I call him the forgotten man… He works, he votes, generally he prays—but he always pays…”
There is no escape for the non-productive either. In their ignorant attempt to balance the equation, they believe the liberties and tribute the productive pay to the government will be distributed to them – and some is – after the government skims off its vigorish for having to play the middleman. The non-productive pay their dues to the government in the same manner as the productive – only they pay in a different currency. In exchange for the dole they receive, they pay for what they receive through ceding their liberty. Anyone who lives solely at the discretion of others (i.e. government) is never truly free.
Both classes are allowed doses of liberty in small amounts – as if they were in a reverse drug rehabilitation program. We are weaned off liberty by having our daily ration cut by a cc per day over our entire lives as our dependence is correspondingly increased. In the end, we will only know liberty as that which we are allowed by government to do.
The winner in all of this is the government. By withholding the bulk of liberty from the people, the government limits their ability to object to its acts. That inability to object allows the government (and those who operate its levers) to act in whatever manner it wishes – no matter what the citizens think. There can be no shame or remorse when standards are constantly redefined and accountability is a myth.
Today we are witnessing the forced coexistence of Marxism and capitalism, the product of a hundred years of Wilsonian “progressivism” capped off by an attempt by the Obama administration to combine two strands of DNA that are entirely incompatible. The result is a mutated society and economy, a creation as grotesque and unnatural as anything contemplated by the Doctor Frankenstein of author Mary Shelley. As a modern incarnation, Doctor Obamastein and his Igor like minions in Congress constructed a modern version of “Frankenstein’s monster” from parts salvaged from the graveyard of dead ideas of people like Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx and attached them to a vibrant body born of de Tocqueville, Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Adam Smith.
Biden has resurrected the monster, and as with Frankenstein’s creation, our current situation is an abomination and a crime against nature. It cannot exist in its current form. The incompatible DNA will eventually express itself and will soon destroy the organism as a whole if we lack the will to remove the dead tissue. The conflict that is rampant in our society and economy has less to do with any individual program or policy than it does with the overall attempt to transform our society from one of believing in truths that are “self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…” to one of “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need”.
There exist no two more incompatible beliefs than these.
We are nearing a tipping point. America has been on a knife’s edge for decades and I fear that balance is no longer sustainable. The statists and their acolytes will never voluntarily relinquish their power and position. They will most certainly block an Article V convention of the states by any means necessary. The power they hold will, in all likelihood, need to be taken from them.

Now, I am hearing a block saw cutting block on the ground level at 20 to 5pm. If he is a licensed contractor he should lose his license.

The Democrats once feigned worry about the concept of a "unitary executive" or an "imperial president", but that seems only to be a concern when there is a Republican in the White House.
I remember when President Bush was being pilloried by the Democrats and the leftist “civil rights” cabal about “unchecked” executive authority, calling him the unitary executive or the “imperial president”.
I remember the choice words that they had for Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld and President Bush. Here are a few reminders in case you do not:

Of course, Obama did worse than Bush ever dreamed and for four years, we heard nothing but "Trump is an authoritarian" and "Trump is trampling the Constitution" - but with Biden's announcement today, he has gone full "unitary executive".
Biden and his administration is excusing the Taliban, encouraging illegal immigrants at our southern border and bestowing legal status on unvetted Afghan "refugees" as he ignores the debt owed to our troops, neglects our veterans and the homeless and wages open war on American citizens - and then demands American citizens pay for it all with our taxes and reductions in our liberty.
If Americans don't stand up to this blatant trampling of individual rights under the guise of "public health", America is well and truly done.

All I can say is that he can GTH. Pretty soon I will bet that they decide that all recipients of Medicare have to get the jab. So far I haven't and the reports about the vaccine losing effectiveness and details on the side effects is not making me more inclined.

My 9:33. I mixed up the two examples in my response.
However, the swat team responding to a fly outbreak applies equally to a weekend in the outback.
I once went to an airshow near Beverly, which is about 80 miles from Perth by train. I swear that I ate more flies than meat when eating a hot dog.

Yes. OSHA mask / vax rules plus CDC “high activity” for the county had us on work from home anyway. ADA requires accommodation for unvaccinated with “valid medical excuses” anyway (isolate them and make them wear masks).
Weekly testing on unvaccinated would be a new hassle and expense. Technically we have to mandate / test the cleaning service employees and postal / parcel delivery people as well… at least under the old OSHA suggestions. The cleaning service is hired by our landlord, so not sure how to do that. Postal workers are exempt, but not for showing up at our office per OSHA.
Typical leftist clusterfuck, two weeks has turned into two years plus fascism.

Plus we saw this coming, so polled our employees three weeks ago. Didn’t ask for photos of vax cards, just for info. Got photos of vax cards and info. So at least I know where we stand. No clue on status of cleaning crew or mail / package delivery.
Wish I had time to think about software during the work week, but government has other ideas.
