Sen. Joe Manchin puts the kibosh on Biden's clean energy plan:
Key to Biden’s Climate Agenda Likely to Be Cut Because of Manchin Opposition
The West Virginia Democrat told the White House he is firmly against a clean electricity program that is the muscle behind the president’s plan to battle climate change.
The WaPo flagged this a few days back. Manchin's objection seems a bit vague:
Manchin had a frank conversation with White House aides late last week where he said he couldn't support the CEPP in its current form, according to two of the people close to the negotiations, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the private discussions.
The centrist coal-state senator "doesn't see a formulation that could get past his concerns with regard to rewarding utilities for behavior they're already taking," one person said, "and he pretty much conveyed that."
Its not clear where Biden and his crack leadership team are headed with this. But the Times piece concludes with some LOL wish-casting:
It is also possible that Democrats may try to push through the clean electricity program as a stand-alone bill — but the timeline for doing so is narrowing, with the 2022 midterm elections approaching.
Sure. There ought to be plenty of eager Republican votes for this in the Senate.
Don’t expect store shelves to be stocked? That fits with don’t expect laws to apply to Uniparty / deep state.

Ignatz. I have written this a number of times - They think they have won, so they are out in the open. And, who is to say they are wrong. The ratbag Marxists have the media, the Federal Government, the Congress, and the schools.
Now we see the military is full of the ratbags. Don't think for one minute that the rot is only at the top. The troops went to the same schools as everyone else.
Most 'Conservatives' agree with a lot of the propaganda because that is what the schools teach.
The center is so far to the left of what it was as to be almost meaningless, when applied to conservative or left wing politics.

Asked on Friday what should happen to individuals who defy the subpoenas of the Jan. 6 commission, Biden said, "I hope that the committee goes after them and holds them accountable criminally."
Pressed further on whether the Department of Justice should prosecute such individuals, Biden argued that it should.
DOJ spokesperson Anthony Coley subsequently responded to those remarks by saying in a statement: "The Department of Justice will make its own independent decisions in all prosecutions based solely on the facts and the law. Period. Full stop."

Bitter, Hateful Leftwing Identity-Politics Racist Feminist: "I Have to Figure Out Why I'm Such a Defensive, Miserable Bitch"
—Ace
"I have to figure out why I'm such a defensive, miserable bitch."
She literally says that. That's not Fake News. That's not a clickbait headline from the Clickbait Nonsense Network.
That's real.
She's actually very close to figuring out the reason why: It's because she's a hysteric who's been bent to be "triggered" by the American flag or a thousand other things she's decided are "racist." And now she's miserable and "uncomfortable" and making "everyone around [her] uncomfortable."
And what's causing her to be "such a defensive, miserable bitch"?
Her poisonous, toxic ideology of hatred, resentment, blame-shifting, scape-goating and racism and sexim.

OL, when negotiating the FBI will have to ensure 10% for the big guy as well.
So, Colin Powell, vaccinated, dies of Covid despite being 85 and having two life threatening conditions. Other vaccinees are dying and yet the vaccination rate is now quite high.
In the meantime all of those first responders who were directly in the line of fire and came through are the enemy. Pretty soon Joe will be recruiting Red Guards from the universities and gangs to ensure order.
New Zealand had 85 cases the other day, the highest number ever, despite the lockdowns and mass paranoia. Australia is still struggling as they arrest people on the beaches for not being huddled in their basements with poisonous snakes and lizards and spiders and such.
Are these folks getting the message that the disease is going to do what the disease is going to do? I guess not.

Found this on Facebook (My first look for a week)
"It was well recognized that Martha Raye endured less comfort and more danger than any other Vietnam entertainer. Don't let the sun go down without reading this about Martha Raye.
The most unforgivable oversight of TV is that her shows were not taped.
I was unaware of her credentials or where she is buried. Somehow I just can't see Brittany Spears, Paris Hilton, or Jessica Simpson doing what this woman (and the other USO women, including Ann Margaret & Joey Heatherton) did for our troops in past wars.
Most of the old time entertainers were made of a lot sterner stuff than today's crop of activists bland whiners. The following is from an Army Aviator who takes a trip down memory lane:
"It was just before Thanksgiving '67 and we were ferrying dead and wounded from a large GRF west of Pleiku. We had run out of body bags by noon, so the Hook (CH-47 CHINOOK) was pretty rough in the back.
All of a sudden, we heard a 'take-charge' woman's voice in the rear.
There was the singer and actress, Martha Raye, with a SF (Special Forces) beret and jungle fatigues, with subdued markings, helping the wounded into the Chinook, and carrying the dead aboard. ‘Maggie' had been visiting her SF 'heroes' out 'west'.
We took off, short of fuel, and headed to the USAF hospital pad at Pleiku.
As we all started unloading our sad pax's, a 'Smart Mouth' USAF Captain said to Martha,
“Ms Ray, with all these dead and wounded to process, there would not be time for your show!"
To all of our surprise, she pulled on her right collar and said, “Captain, see this eagle? I am a full 'Bird' in the US Army Reserve, and on this is a 'Caduceus' which means I am a Nurse, with a surgical specialty, now, take me to your wounded!"
He said, "Yes ma'am. follow me."
Several times at the Army Field Hospital in Pleiku, she would 'cover' a surgical shift, giving a nurse a well-deserved break.
Martha is the only woman buried in the SF (Special Forces) cemetery at Ft Bragg.
Hand Salute! A great lady. I did not know this about Martha Ray. I thought you might like it.

DISPATCHES FROM THE EDUCATION APOCALYPSE: Problematic Pallor, Part 362.
“I want to share with people why I didn’t know I was white. Because I think a lot of people don’t know they are white.”
The speaker quoted above is Dr Julia Storberg-Walker, an associate professor of education at George Washington University. A teacher of teachers, of those who will in turn shape young minds, or try to, anyway. Our educator’s realisation of her own “whiteness” — and thus innate wrongness — was, we’re told, a result of “somatic, embodied training,” which is essential, apparently. In order to struggle with one’s “positionality” as a White Devil, a doer of “harm,” a devourer of souls."

Well. "Al-Arian Finds a Kindred Spirit in Israel-Bashing Retired U.S. Army Colonel."
"...He now works as a "distinguished adjunct professor of government & public policy" at the College of William & Mary, and serves on the Military Religious Freedom Foundation's board.
But Lawrence Wilkerson doesn't believe the world's only Jewish state should exist. President Truman was wrong to recognize it in 1948, he says, "based on the fact there were 400 some odd million Arabs. And about at that time, 3 maybe 4 million Israelis..."
