Grr: 'Effing Aaron Rodgers cost his team a game and may be costing people their lives.
NFL COVID protocols strongly push towards vaccination, not whatever Rodgers homeopathic whirligig did to obtain "immunization":
"Unvaccinated players who test positive must isolate at least 10 days, even if they are asymptomatic. Vaccinated players, however, can return following a positive test as soon as they produce two negative tests with 24 hours in between, as long as they are asymptomatic. In other words, Rodgers would at least have a chance to play Sunday if he were vaccinated."
THROWING IT DOWN: Kareem dunks on Rodgers. More in the Times.
Grr II: Rule of law, anyone?!? A Federal court has stayed the dubious Biden-OSHA vaccine mandate pending review but Team Biden exhorts companies to ignore the court and soldier on. The distinction between "good idea" and "within the scope of Executive Branch authority" seems to baffle the Bidenauts. OK, Bidenuts.
Grr III: Erik Wemple of the WaPo once again bashes credulous lefties for their unwavering faith in the Steele dossier. As a bonus, Matt Taibbi piles on Rachel Maddow.
Despite their efforts I doubt this will redeem the left-wing media in many eyes on the right.
Morning. Wait til you get to Emerald’s last two posts on “ patents”.

The game was lost because of CDC and NFL double standards:
• Does the vaccine prevent infection (No).
• Does the vaccine prevent spread (No).
• Does the CDC or FDA allow treatments approved for other disease treatments that other countries regularly use that demonstrably minimize the track of the disease (No).
Do the media and blogging pundits talk around the real issues? (Yes).

--Grr: 'Effing Aaron Rodgers cost his team a game...--
Or alternately his Effing league cost his team a game by requiring men who are almost all under forty, except for that fossil down in Tampa Bay, to get a shot even the FDA recommends against for that age group because of side effects and the almost non existent threat from the bug.
--...and may be costing people their lives.--
There is considerable evidence the shot may be costing people their lives and especially among those who have almost no risk to their lives from the bug.
This vaxx worship in the face of mounting contrary evidence is one of those persistent claims people cling to even in the face of that mounting evidence and common logic that ultimately so often blows up in their face. When it does the few with integrity mouth a mea culpa while the rest move on as though they didn't commit a herd instinct evil.
THAT is the great risk of irrational times like these; the thundering herd scoops up otherwise rational people and entire populations get run over in the name of the herd and in the face of reality until reality intrudes to the point the devastation can no longer be denied by the formerly rational. That realization usually occurs as the herd is running off a cliff or alternately from the heap of bodies at the base of it.

The charges against Danchenko may also force a reckoning that some journalists who embraced the dossier had hoped to avoid — an examination of their reporting about it and their ties to operatives for hire.

Is this why the cops never looked at Grosskreuz' phone thoug the Court gave them permission to do so?
"Eric Obermeyer
Because the guy was part of the People’s Revolutionary Movement which had just attacked a police officer in a Milwaukee suburb, and there was obvious orchestration of the outside agitators who came to Kenosha. Clearly, the local Democratic machine didn’t want to take any chances of finding leads about that, which could inadvertently make their way into the public record."
Posted by: clarice | November 09, 2021 at 10:15 AM
Grosskreutz has not been charged for lying to the cops, carrying a concealed weapon which had an expired permit, or pointing a loaded weapon at Rittenhouse.
If he had continued lying in court, how likely is it that the Kenosha DA would have charged him with perjury.?
Posted by: clarice | November 09, 2021 at 10:19 AM
His tweets and the videos did Grosskruetz in, but listening to his self-serving crapola on direct and looking at his political statements before the incident and his subsequent tweets, he was lying to himself as much as to anyone. Loved his nonsense that he could never shoot anyone even in self-defense. Talk about how neurotics create false self-images.
