Will there be a brawl to replace Breyer? IMHO, Democrats would welcome one. A chance to thrill their base AND deliver a win? Easy call.
On the Republican side obviously they can't pass on a fundraising opportunity. But they already have plenty of topics to excite their side and the Supreme Court will be delivering more (eg, on abortion and gun control) this year. No need to escalate a fight they will probably lose.
UPDATE: Great minds run in the same channel. Or at least, I hopeso, since Jim Geraghty is a great mind.
In some ways, Manchin and Sinema control the pick. Much to the chagrin of the usual Soros puppets.

JiB, I too did not realize you are still not home. Are you allowed visitors?
Do you want visitors??
If a gal happened to be driving through, is it possible to pop in?
Are you allowed to out for lunch? A coffee? A drink??
That sleep thing--I am sure you can google as well as anyone;
but NOT sleeping during the day is one of the first things to do to sleep at night. Eliminating the blue screen light after say five also important,
as is OUTDOOR exposure early--pre eight am.
Fresh air at other times of day too helps (if that is an option).
If you are confined indoors--getting to an east facing window as early as you can helps.
Melatonin 5-10 mg around seven p and a hot shower/bath a half hour or so before you want to fall asleep helps too.

Melinda,
I read all of Hanania’s article. When I got to where he called Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan “courageous”, I sort of looked at the rest with a jaded eye.
Biden hasn’t got one bit of courage in him. Everything he does is to ensure his survival, to increase his power in order to make it harder for anyone to punish him for his misdeeds, and to gain cash for bribery and illicit puchases like drugs. He is a horrible person, and ANY action he takes should be viewed through the lens of “ how does this benefit Biden?”

And yes amom, while I still won't take benadryl long term because it increases the chances of Alzheimers 50%+, I will take it occasionally when the alternative is not sleeping at all.

FTA:Ed Whelan, a senior fellow at the Ethics & Public Policy Center, noted that Laurence Tribe previously argued that a vice president didn’t have such power.
“Larry Tribe was wrong in 2020 to assert that VP can't break a tie on a nomination, but it would be interesting to see if he stands by his error,” noted Whelan.
The conservative strategist was referring to a 2020 Boston Globe op-ed written by Tribe, a distinguished professor at Harvard Law School and the liberal legal scholar whom the Biden White House has consulted before on tricky constitutional considerations.
“While the vice president has the power to cast a tiebreaking vote to pass a bill, the Constitution does not give him the power to break ties when it comes to the Senate’s ‘Advice and Consent’ role in approving presidential appointments to the Supreme Court,” Tribe wrote as the upper chamber was preparing to take up the nomination of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

Back from cooking and eating dinner.
Miss Marple, Nigella Seeds are a pre-covid prophylactic and are also recommended if you cannot obtain ivermectin.
I read this at:
https://covid19criticalcare.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/FLCCC-Alliance-I-MASKplus-Protocol-ENGLISH.pdf
You want 80 mg per kg which I roughly worked out as a teaspoon of ground seeds per day. Nigella seeds get stuck in your teeth, even when ground up very fine. Not a good look.
I've also printed up "Steps to take before Hospitalization" which includes lawyering up, getting a HCPOA for each family member specific to Covid, and lots of helpful encouragement:
https://www.truthforhealth.org/fact-sheets-and-position-statements/
I have a couple of friends from India so I actually have ivermectin in a drawer with my Beecham's Powders ie. dispersible asprin.
I believe that everything I prepare for doesn't happen, by the way. It seems like there's so much light, way down at the end of the tunnel.
