It looks as if the Russian admirals resented the world's attention being focused on the ineptitude of the Russian Army:
Prized Russian Ship Was Hit by Missiles, U.S. Officials Say
WASHINGTON — The Moskva was the pride of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, a symbol of the country’s dominance of the region and a powerful war machine that had been used to launch precision cruise missiles deep inside Ukraine.
Despite claims by Russia that an accidental fire broke out on the ship, U.S. officials confirmed on Friday that two Ukrainian Neptune missiles had struck the vessel, killing an unknown number of sailors and sending it and its arsenal to the bottom of the Black Sea.
The sinking of the Moskva on Thursday was a grave blow to the Russian fleet and a dramatic demonstration of the current era of warfare in which missiles fired from shore can destroy even the biggest, most powerful ships. It was also the most significant combat loss for any navy since 1982, when Argentina’s Air Force sank a British guided missile destroyer and other ships during the Falklands War.
Tough break for Vlad the Derailer.
Look up Congressional Resolution for Rev Billy Graham.

No, tanks will not be obsolete in the wars of the future
"I don’t think the time of the tank has passed.”
"But U.S. armor experts don’t buy it. Instead, they argue that it isn’t a question of whether tanks should be used, but how they’re used in coordination with other elements of the military. This concept is known as combined arms and it’s one that Russia hasn’t seemed to grasp.
“A tank, in general, is — for ground stuff — the most lethal thing you can put on the battlefield,” Lt. Col. John Dolan, the chief of tactics at the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course at Fort Benning, Georgia, told Task & Purpose last week. “It’s got a ton of armor, it can go really fast, it can see everything … I don’t think the time of the tank has passed.”
But Doland also said that using “any one thing by itself” isn’t enough. The combined arms aspect of military strategy — using an infantry force alongside a military’s tanks, for example — is critical."

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/04/confessions_of_a_disney_writer.html
Confessions of a Disney writer
"Every kids' TV writer knows that, when crafting a story, you have to be careful about "modeling behavior." Whatever kids see, they imitate, so you should "model" positive traits in your scripts, particularly when writing for preschoolers. Imagine inserting a pint-size Larry David character in your story who is obnoxious, argumentative, and sneaky. Inevitably, you'd get back notes from the story editor telling you to revamp the script to avoid modeling negative behavior.
So Disney's recent commitment to "add queerness" wherever possible can't be explained as just trying to teach tolerance and inclusivity. The executives know that by showing "queerness," they are modeling queerness and encouraging kids to imitate that behavior."

Massive increase in Black Americans murdered was result of defund police movement: experts
The Bloods vs Crips drama in the Ukraine has an interesting counterpart in every Blue Hell here in the States. Turf wars between gangs of thugs date back to before the end of the Roman Republic (probably before the end of Sumeria as well but written history is rather scant for that era).
The propaganda machine that elevated a cheap black thug to St. Floyd status as well as successfully de-funding community policing to the point where black on black homicide is becoming as common as drug dealing in the same communities is the same machine trying to enlist support for one side or another in Ukraine (albeit, with higher civilian casualties).
Trying to determine whether Putin stinks worse than Zelensky has become too tiring. It's like trying to determine whether Harris or Biden has higher cognitive function in comparison to the average turnip.

Top Democrat Funneled More Than $200,000 In Campaign Cash To Family Members
Democratic South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn has distributed more than $200,000 in campaign funds to entities controlled by his relatives, Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show.
Clyburn, the third-ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives, has made 15 rental payments to a company controlled by a daughter and son-in-law, and 39 direct payments to another daughter and son-in-law. Clyburn’s grandson also appears to be a salaried employee, and has received twice-monthly payments from the Clyburn campaign since October 2021.
The disbursements were first reported by Fox News.
The Clyburn campaign paid 49 Magnolia Blossom LLC $62,500 in 15 installments from March 2020 to January 2022 for “office rent,” according to FEC filings. 49 Magnolia Blossom LLC was incorporated in 2018, with Clyburn’s son-in-law Walter A. Reed listed as the company’s agent. Walter Reed is married to Clyburn’s daughter Jennifer Clyburn Reed, whom President Joe Biden appointed federal co-chair of the Southeast Crescent Regional Commission. In addition to the funds paid to his LLC, the Clyburn campaign paid $650 to Walter Reed personally for “office maintenance lighting” in May 2021, Fox News noted.
Clyburn Reed also received significant payments from the Clyburn campaign. During her father’s successful 2020 re-election campaign, Clyburn Reed was paid $45,000, which the Clyburn campaign described in filings as a “campaign management fee.”
Walter and Jennifer’s son, Walter A.C. Reed, was employed by the Clyburn campaign as well. Walter A.C. Reed, Rep. Clyburn’s grandson, received $37,500 across eleven payments from the campaign since October 2021.
The Clyburn campaign also paid the congressman’s other daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Cecil Hannibal, a combined $90,762 for various activities dating back to 2010.
Overall, Friends of Jim Clyburn has paid Clyburn’s family members and entities they control $236,412 since 2010.

Democrat corruption??? Color me shocked!
Apparently Pissaki wept when calling Republicans homophobes at a recent press conference while Joe was wandering aimlessly around the White House lawn.
Now they can't help but screw up even their own initiatives. Funny how Abbots illegal immigrant dispersion program isn't getting any mainstream press. When asked to comment by Peter Doocey Pissaki said "Yo quiero illegales!"
This descent into madness has to be stopped. We need an intervention. The president is a imminent danger to himself and others as the involuntary commitment laws say.

Explanation of why diplomacy wont end Ukraine war.
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1516 ... 88288.html "
Very long. But very interesting. It's all about languages. Doesn't relate to just Russia and Ukraine.
"...The motivation behind Z-war is not "security", "alliances" or even political affiliation. It's the need to extinguish wrong cultural memes and impose correct ones. That's why Z-war has such a wide popular support and why Russians so easily agreed for a total war against Ukraine ...
...Arrogant it may sound, I think that in order to understand cultural context, you need to consume content in a language of the country. Those analysts who consume content in Russian typically view Z-war as inevitable. They saw it coming. But those who don't, are usually surprised...
Z-war happened because Russia never accepted existence of Ukraine in the first place. And by "Russia" I mean not only the state, but also the people, especially the cultural elites. It was the so much glorified cultural elite that prepared this war rather than ignorant masses ...
Russian invasion of Ukraine can be understood only in cultural context. Kremlin didn't plan for a war, it planned to "liberate" Ukraine, save it by imposing the correct memes. But it turned out that Ukrainians didn't want to be saved. That's how Special Operation turned into war ...
Initial Kremlin's assumption was that Ukraine isn't irredeemable. It's a country of somewhat inferior Russians controlled by the "Nazis" who brainwashed the rest into submission. But what Ukrainians secretly want is to drop the farce of "Ukraine" and become normal (=Russian) ..."

The world didn't know the horrors of the concentration camps until the allies entered them at the end of the war. And even then they were hesitant to publish them until the missing were identified if I remember my history correctly.
I wonder if the outcome would have been different had the world been witness to Hitlers actions leading up to his plans to exterminate the Jewish race, via cell phones and computer apps that we have today? Isn't it better to see both sides of a conflict to get a better idea of the truth?

https://www.defense.gov/News/Transcripts/Transcript/Article/3004347/pentagon-press-secretary-john-f-kirby-holds-a-press-briefing/
It's a little odd the way these briefings go.
Howitzers? Howitzers? and they kind of skip over this:
"Some nations have provided spare parts so that they can get their inoperable tanks operable again. And I would say the same on -- on aircraft. I mean, they have received support on -- for -- for -- to -- to get some of their fixed-wing aircraft, you know, more operable again. So I mean, look, the proof’s in the pudding there.
I mean, they right now have available to them more fixed-wing fighter aircraft than they did two weeks ago. And that's not by accident, that's because other nations who have experience with those kinds of aircraft have been able to help them get -- get more aircraft up -- up and running."
Has somebody, or several somebodies, sent more planes and tanks to Ukraine? Well, the operable phrase seems to be "operable" :)
Does that mean just shipping in spare parts or also a logistics team to assess what's needed and to help with the installation of those parts?

This is fraud.
There Is No Balm in Gilead
Anthony Fauci’s NIAID rigged the trial of remdesivir, ineffective against COVID but highly profitable for its maker.

They hack more than Russia, and share with journolists... see thread.

@micahflee
I don't think people fully appreciate just how much, after invading Ukraine, people are hacking Russia. There are multiple hacks a week and it's only increasing. For first time in internet history Russia is fair game for cyber attacks, and this is what it looks like 🧵

Regarding the howitzers these are self-propelled US howitzers, a battalion's worth.
Apparently the Ukrainians are being trained somewhere in Eastern Europe on them.
A fair number of parts for MiG's floating around Poland (remember those planes?) and the other former East Bloc countries.
