Grassfire:Trump announced that he and his legal team filed a motion in U.S. district court today to stop the Department of "Justice," under the Fourth Amendment, from reviewing documents that were "illegally seized from my home."
In this afternoon's statement, President Trump also referred to the August 8 raid of Mar-a-Lago (his private residence in Palm Beach, Florida) as "the unnecessary, unwarranted, and unAmerican Break-In by dozens of FBI agents." America's 45th Commander-in-Chief also added:
They demanded that the security cameras be turned off, a request we rightfully denied. They prevented my attorneys from observing what was being taken in the raid, saying "absolutely not." They took documents covered by attorney-client and executive privilege, which is not allowed. They took my passports. They even brought a "safe cracker" and successfully broke into my personal safe, which revealed … nothing!
Mr. Trump is fighting back by demanding "a SPECIAL MASTER to oversee the handling of the materials taken in the raid" and "that all items wrongfully taken from my home be IMMEDIATELY returned." The Trump legal team wants the court to force the Department of "Justice" to turn over an "inventory of my property" and "disclose where that property is now located."

Something nobody's asking: What's the CHAIN OF CUSTODY over those 27 boxes/containers the Biden DOJ seized? Who has access? Who can rifle thru their contents?
You have to put yourself in Trump's shoes to understand the depth of the violation and the breadth of the anxiety he's going through after they ambushed him while he was 1,200 miles away:
-- They never told him exactly what they hauled off--they were allowed to take virtually anything--so he doesn't know everything they have
-- Will they leak it to CNN, NYT, WaPo?
-- Share it with Cheney? Schiff?
-- Pomerantz? James?
-- Does DOJ now have his RICO case legal strategy vs DOJ?
-- Do they have his 2024 campaign strategy vs. Biden, whose political appointee personally OK'd the ambush on Trump's inner sanctum?

I wrote that I would only post when there were at least two daily assessments of the Ukraine war.

Lately, even when there are two reports, it hasn't seemed worth the effort. Very little of consequence is happening on the front lines. The PR battle has been focused on the Zaphorizsa (sp?) nuclear plant and the inexplicable Crimea attacks.

The front-line battles are, IMO, short of personnel. I see repeated reports of Russian troops attacking somewhere and being repulsed. Ukraine has regained some small amounts of territory and Russia has gained some small amounts of territory.

Russia has had to move forces and armament from the east to meet Ukraine's supposed thrust from the west toward Kherson.

IMO, the people of Luhansk and Donetsk, who would have been content to be ruled by either side are no longer interested in being conscripted into the Russian offensive as they have gained territory.

Finally, I'm free of Ukrainian repression I can live my life as I want. Huh, What do you mean I have to join the Russian army? Good luck training those people. Without a full Russian mobilization, good luck on finding and training suitable replacement troops.

I suspect that Ukraine has been able to recruit and spend most of the time needed to bring these new people up to an effective level of fighting forces and isn't interested in wasting them on a frontal attack.

We're pretty much near the culmination of the Russian campaign. I don't think they have enough people to do much more in terms of grabbing land. They can launch weapons beyond their front-lines, but are losing important ammo dumps that have sustained the front-line previously.

They do have, IMO, enough resources to blunt any frontal attack from Ukraine. I think Ukraine knows that. Thus, all the rear area attacks that Ukraine has launched in Kherson and Crimea recently.

Were I Ukraine I would try to collapse the Russian lines from behind by forcing them to remove front-line troops to re-secure rear areas that are now seeing unexplained explosive events.
