The Colorado River situation is just part of the US and the global water management problem oppportunity.
But things coud be worse! We haven't hit "Worst Year EVER!" status, where 536 AD may be the reigning champ.

New York City ordered to reinstate all cops fired over vaccine mandates
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Lyle Frank said the city's vaccine mandate was invalid "to the extent it has been used to impose a new condition of employment" for members of the Police Benevolent Association (PBA), the largest union to which NYC police belong.

Propublica is full of horseshit, per usual. As one can see in the charts [which I cannot make smaller, unfortunately]
There have been longer and more severe droughts in the last couple of hundred years. Moreover as the second chart shows the flow of the Colorado has been almost flat for the last 45 years and the decrease inflow was much more pronounced from 1900 to 1975.
The problem is not insufficient flow. It's overly sufficient use. Lake Mead is drying up because people keep sucking more and more out. Did someone expect the climate to magically produce more rain and snow on our demand?
The same is true of CA where almost all areas have a flat or nearly so precipitation trend over the last 100 years. What we have that is different from a century ago is about 40 million more people. That and a bunch of dumbass politicians who have done nothing for fifty years to solve the problem are the CA story on almost everything.

Klobuchar says if we vote Democratic they'll be no more hurricanes. wow! Simple solution. OTOH IIRC this is the first hurricane of the year when the "models" predicted we'd have more of them than usual.

My betters tell me that the lack of storms in August was climate change and the Florida-bound hurricane is climate change. I look out my window and see the Japanese red maple leaves moving in the breeze: climate change.

I don't believe the FBI was deceived!
From the Danchenco filings at 6:57
"Some folks have gone apoplectic over such sentences, such ideas that the FBI was deceived. This where much of the “Durham is a coverup for the DOJ/FBI and Deep State!” reactions are coming from. People cannot accept that the FBI was deceived on any level. Whether they were, and I believe at certain points certain people in the FBI were, is inconsequential to this case. What is consequential is that the defendant, Igor Danchenko, “engaged in an over-arching ‘plan’ to deceive the FBI.”
All of you Floridians are in my prayers, nite all.

I guess they all forgot about the Dust Bowl.
We just had the enviros shut down a large desalination plant in Huntington Beach because of reasons. In the meantime the LA Board of Supervisors wants to shut down all oil/gas drilling in 10 years. The state wants to eliminate gas & diesel cars and trucks by 2035. But they just had brownout warnings including telling people not to charge their cars at night because it might black the grid out.
Lunacy.

Man’s Attempt to Tow with His Electric Truck Is ‘Total Disaster’: ‘What a Joke!’
"Man’s Attempt to Tow with His Electric Truck Is ‘Total Disaster’: ‘What a Joke!’
Automotive YouTuber Tyler “Hoovie” Hoover bought a brand new 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning electric truck and was stunned when it failed to perform a simple task.
In a Friday episode of “Hoovie’s Garage,” Hoover decided to use his Lightning for one of its intended purposes: Towing.
Hoover’s goal was to drive the truck 32 miles with only an empty trailer in tow, load up his recently purchased 1930 Ford Model A pickup truck and then tow it back the same 32 miles.
It did not go well."

ENTERTAINMENT The 35 Greatest Westerns of All Time
By Matthew Jackson, Sep 27, 2022
"Though it’s easy to conjure up tired tales of gunfighters standing in the street waiting to draw when you think of Westerns, the genre is actually home to a surprising range of diversity. It’s been part of cinema since the very earliest days of Hollywood, and has produced some of the greatest films ever made that go far beyond such masterpieces as The Searchers or The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. To dive into the entire genre is to find a wide array of subgenres, thematic concerns, performances, filmmaking styles, and even conclusions about the American West itself.
In other words, there’s at least one great Western for everybody. To prove it, we’ve compiled a list of 35 of the best films the genre ever produced, spanning more than 80 years of movies..."
